If you can avoid it, please do. If it’s AWD, you have a chance…air down, go at low tide before 9am or after 5pm and ride the hard stuff as close to shore as possible. No chance in the sugar due to clearance issues. I also turned traction control off. If you get stuck it’s easily a $500 towing fee.
I did, as we stayed there all week. It worked out, but it was earlier in the season so it was not nearly as sugary as it can get during those spans with little rain. If you can stay on the hard pack as much as possible and go at low tide, you are in a much better position.
The AWD system should activate when it senses slippage, but it also activates when the wipers are on, presumably because it’s raining and gives the car a little better grip. I didn’t want to take any chances, lol!

A limited with the park assist or I mean Active park so it parks itself haha. Hard to find that option as well as the vacuum. They tended to order the vac delete to get the spare tire kit. I missed the old way of on the Caravans with the spare below the two front seats.
This is awesome. I’m heading that way first week of April in my 22 Chevy equinox awd. Taking traction boards, truck claws, and a shovel just in case.

Curious if you were able to drive in the rough stuff between the dunes to get to where the houses are? That's the tricky part.
