      The label was a 'budget' subsidiary of Columbia, issued from 1913-C.1916 to compete with cheap German imports. Tho' short lived, it sold well due to the cheap price. Billy can be found on nearly every label because he made a practice of recording the same song on several, to prevent cover artists exploiting his songs. He can also be found on many re-issue labels.

      Glad you enjoyed! Many of his songs were about relationships & he was quite a 'ladies man' in real life.
