A fair bit happening, thanks Will. Obviously not announced yet, but I'm pretty keen for the arrival of the Auscision Harris sets, with a seven car set preordered.
Those XPT's from Auscision look great. Unfortunately, the price for a whole set is completely out of my budget range at the moment. That being said, I did manage to score a second Auscision model this month Surprisingly for someone in California, it was a second-hand selling area at a local train show. It is very rare to see an Australian model at an American model train show. Let alone one I actually wanted, the Victorian Railways B-Class.
Was someone thinking why does this B & O F unit have VR on it? 😊 I have one in Victorian Railways and one in WCR (West Coast Railway) liveries. It was the first model train I had as a kid and just loved the shape.
@@ssttuuhhll I actually thought the VR livery more closely resembled the Lake Erie railway's livery. But yeah. This Auscision B-Class that I found will actually my second one. Several months ago, I scored one that was an old Lima model. While it is decently detailed it's not as much as an Auscision, and is the only model I have that has the European coupler. I'll have to change that. But I'm having a nightmare of a time figuring that out as I've never worked on tuning up a Lima model before.
I'm certainly in the wrong business, weather a locomotive and earn a lot more than trying to impress UA-cam. I would love to know the fee for doing a full weathering of the current XPT fleet look. They are looking so shabby now, diesel grime, rust, filth, brake dust and general grime is at its peak now.
Unfortunately not, they still seem quite distant from the news and unfortunately my inbox and messages fill up month with questions on where certain models are, and unfortunately I can not provide answers. I feel at this point I am letting the industry down as the program isn’t taken seriously by the larger manufacturers. However the motivation to continues comes from giving the smaller/cottage manufacturers a both local and global platform!
@@WillJamesRailways Frankly, your news is the best news source for Australian modellers. Distinct from articles that magazines produce, you actually publish new items each month, many of which have been used on our Railway. The fact remains that most manufacturers are nothing more than larger cottage industries. None have any real marketing ideas, either. They are all poor communicators, and the customers have to be forensic scientists to work out what's happening. Ideally, they would send you a monthly update. The US manufacturers are far better at communicating with their customers. Keep up the good work Will!
No I won’t. They’re not a prototype I collect and it’s far too much for me to buy them for a review as I’d never recoupe the cost. This is something I get asked a lot and I’m sorry I can’t do better for the community to cover all models released by the video production as is already costs me too much! Sorry again.
Im from Bundaberg, and i can tell you ive never actually taken in the architecture. But looking at it like that how it was built... its beautiful And i feel guilty for not appreciating it while growing up.
All these model printers/sellers these days only have facebook stores and no conventional means of contact. Am keen on an O scale DH from Paul's models but nothing on site, no way of contact, are these guys even real or do I just pay and hope it's not a scam. Hopeless.
If it helps, his website, and email are both at the start of his segment or you can catch him at exhibitions around Victoria if the website isn’t for you!
@WillJamesRailways thanks for reply, his website doesn't seem to work, am just a bit wary of some of these sites, have lost money on Shapeways site or rarely received reply and some printed stuff I've bought just arrives a crumbled mess or very poor quality.
No idea they haven’t reached out to me. I try to include everything I find and email all the e clubs periodically. I’m sorry I still cant provide a complete program. I am sorry.
So disappointing the manufacturers aren't getting back to you. It's free advertising for them. The smaller companies realise what a useful a resource this is for everone involved. I'm still waiting for my S Class diesels (you gave an update in October's news) and my West Coast Railway rolling stock so I'm not surprised they don't get back to you. A 2 to 3 year wait is getting beyond a joke!
It has been an ongoing problem, I have so many emails and dms about where things are and I can’t be any more help as they dont answer me either! Absolutely, I don’t really know another industry that seems to get away with that!
@@WillJamesRailwaysThe thing that really gets me is I’ve paid for these! After acknowledging the order, I’ve only heard crickets. They have my email address, let me know if there are any issues. Keep fighting the good fight and call out these companies.
As a Brit, and fan of the BR HST, I was always fascinated by the XPT. That would certainly be a rather luscious addition to my collection.
Yet again the first of the month with a cup of coffee watching another great video from Will full of great info
Thanks again!

Fantastic video Will James
Have an awesome Christmas and New Year. 🎄🎄

Nice news video Will. Those Auscision XPT's are a nice model I have to say. Nice to see some new weathering services. I'll have to look into that one.
Thanks again for this great update! It has helped me to clear my head.
Great to hear!

Your content is amazing
Thank you
great vlog thanks lee
I got the xpt in the candy livery!absolutely love it
Great update. And is it too much for suppliers to answer emails? Seems so!

Awesome explanation! When the Intercity V Set comes out can you do a review?

That xpt model is way to expensive that's why i gave away the brass ooho became to expensive with the cost of living.
That XPT looks fantastic! It will take a lot of self-regulation to not buy one!
Just do it mate. I am busy selling stuff on ebay so I can justify getting one.
Greetings from the UK. My NA class 2-6-2T 'Puffing Billy' locomotives are looking forward to seeing the Haskell carriages. 🇬🇧🇦🇺😎👍
Sounds great!
"… except it will probably run on time, and not be replaced by a bus!” Gold!
Cheers!

I wonder if they will Do a HO Scale Version Spirit of Queensland Diesel Tilt Train.
I really want to get an XPT set, not sure it would work well on my british preserved branch line layout
I mean, it’s your railway!
I can find out today when the south Australian railway modellers association open day is

I like model trains but the hobby is so expensive.
Yeah but, I’d rather have them than not!

Disappointed no black friday auscision sale this year. They had a 20% sale last time i think. So u could get in stock items for pre order prices.
The XPT model is more reliable than the real thing, no replacement buses 😂😂😂😂
Need an n scale XPT
Badger bits and Auscision both have them coming (probably would be better if they’d consulted each other first)
