She did a great job in this role. Her delivery was great in my opinion. She could say something compassionate and reassuring one minute, assertive and threatening the next, and disarm her opponents with thoughtful arguments while willing to be vulnerable and take blame herself. While completely different setting, I see so many similarities between her and Leslie from Parks and Rec: ● public servants ● break party lines/red tape to get things done and help others ● both a little quirky, dont take themselves tok seriously, and not afraid to laugh at themselves ● both have a funny love for certain foods that are referenced throughout their respective series
Nobody could have played the madam like Tea her acting coupled with great writing put this up there as one of the best realistic diplomatic series of all IMO.I loved her attributes like honor, loyalty, compassion, patriotism and sincerity.
Yeah well she may be ok but that Madam Secretary she portrays has to be the most boring tight lipped always frowning portrayal I have ever seen. These are the only expressions she has and you call this woman an actress? She makes me think Madam Secretary if you are always so uptight tense and worried then you are in the wrong job.Irritating performance, and B grade acting. ugh!
Her facial expressions may always seem uptight and worried, but most intelligent people dont just judge based on looks. They're mature enough to listen. And her line delivery was great in my opinion. She could say something compassionate and reassuring one minute, assertive and threatening the next, disarm her opponents with thoightful arguments. Those qualities may go over your head a little, but I enjoyed it.
