What a blessing to find this playlist. Thank you. My hypochondria I feel is a bit unique as in it’s connected to deep phobia of doctors. I lost my mother due to opiate addiction complications after a botched surgery, and had my own bad experiences after a back injury in 2017. Now post pandemic confusion especially my phobia is at all time high. I fear symptoms, because I fear having to go to a doctor for any reason. I fear misdiagnosis, or blatant lies to push pharmaceuticals. It’s difficult.

I also find more useful when I kind of discuss my worries with myself by writing. Something special happens when you get It out on paper or computer screen.

Agreed. It's getting the thoughts out of your head and onto paper, which can make a person really think about what they are thinking.

So helpful...You really 'get it' !!! I wish I could have therapy with you...or even a consultation - it's been a long agonizing journey, but your words and empathy are true gifts

Thank you, this gives me something new to think about, along the lines of harm reduction. I wonder if there is a more streamlined approached of confronting anxiety-induced symptoms by learning to accept that these are physical manifestations of anxiety and go from there.

Acceptance of the physical symptoms and not having 100% certainty as to what they mean is the ultimate goal in health anxiety.

I hyper pat attention to my right side flank..example..its been bugging me for a few days..then last night I went to play a fee games of pickleball and after like 2 games..NO PAIN...was it because I wasn't focused on it so much??..side note..im Moving to Tennessee and the stress of packing and getting things ready here in California is stressing me some..its a bear to do all this packing and getting everything ready..😢
