Words like "Beautiful", "Skillful", "Fantastic", "Uplifting", "Musical", "Great", etc all sound too puny. We need to invent a new word for this: Splendicious! :) It is Splendid (technically, intellectually, musically in whole and detail as well as inventive) and Delicious (to the heart and ears and mind)... it is simply and totally Splendicious!
Almost have no words to express my feelings listening to your performing solos today, it became a balsam to my latin soul. Flamenco is special and turn in to my favorite one. Thank you, for your music. M (latin jazz singer)
I had not known of Adam Ben Ezra before today. Now this item is the 4th I'm listening to today. Most enjoyable time! You have awesome talent, Glory Be! You are my second love, after Thelonious Monk.
I don't understand why you all think this is such an odd piece in regards to the structure / progressions etc. It really is not - its just a masterful execution of styles that have been around much longer than you.
Menudo temazo, no lo havia visto aún su video, y lo creia que tenia una banda, he, he, pues no. Ele sólo.¡Madre mia, muy bueno! Flamenco en estado puro.
Adam Ben Ezra I like it as a solo piece, and I can hear where more instrumentation might make some ideas more clear (as the other people said) but again, as a bassist and future film composer, I don't hear a need for more instrumentation.
Sounds excellent, am kind of shocked that a couple folks mentioned dissonance here, b/c everything in the tune fits quite beautifully within the very context he sets up.
It's difficult for me to hear the separate parts very well. I assume that's mainly because of the microphone since I didn't have any problems being able to hear your previous songs on UA-cam. Or maybe it's just in a lower key, but either way I couldn't hear it very well. It sounded like it sounds good though, and I'm glad you uploaded a new song.
Gotta admit this one left me with a weird feeling. It's masterfully performed. I never tire of seeing someone play an instrument as if it were a natural extension of himself. The practice and talent really shine through. However, the dissonant note progressions seemed odd to me. I don't mean this as a criticism. It's simply not something _I_ normally hear, so it doesn't resonate with me like other pieces you've done.
I totally agree with and have exactly the same feeling. I mean I love the other works of Adam and I also do like this one, but it really feels odd because of the dissonant notes.
I am hearing a middle eastern tonality here. I love it personally, it takes you to another place in the world. Not melodic in the way western music might be, but valued none the less. It depends what your ear is used to.
i'm JUST realizing that this fifth string he mentions is a high C. I was wondering why i didn't hear anything below E. us electric 5-stringers are one-track-minded. :P
what you've written is nice but i don't think this works that well as a solo piece. it's too repetitive and at times could benefit from the input of a melody instrument perhaps. keep up the good work though!

A great Ron Carter tonality.
This would make for a good metal song.
How many year have you been playing? Just want to know when I'll be that good xD

Do you don't change a thing!! What make you different makes you UNIQUE!! PEOPLE GET WEIRD WHEN IT'S NOT THE NORM!

I think the artist is taking us somewhere. I revisited it. Feels different on 3rd, 4th listening.
Sounds a lot like 5th mode of harmonic minor. Really not that dissonant in most places imo.

It's just cutural condition. i used to find these hard to absorb too but listening to enough flamenco and arabic music it becomes pretty normal

would like to hear you collaborate with Tigran.
Just got into Tigran myself and HELL YES.
I want to hear you jam with Andy McKee

You are wrong, and I don't mean a little wrong, either.
