Literally checking your Twitter every hour so I don't miss the pre-order. I get that people love art on their controller but the functionality and cleverness of this design is all I'd ever want to see.
Tbh, if they figure out a joystick that would fit, I'd be all for it. But I imagine this design was only created due to the possible form factors achievable in a stickless design.
I never wanted a hotbox until now. Holly balls that's cool. TBH, I'm not sure I'd actually use it, but I'd pay $225 for some art that I can mess around with sometimes.
Congrats on the progress! Do you plan on offering that wooden back panel you had on the prototype you brought to Evo last year? Maybe as a modular upgrade?
There's a whole half inch of acrylic sitting above it, they just milled a pocket out for it. So on the top of the stick, it's completely flat aside the buttons.
Alex Blascyk yeah. If memory serves, it was originally planned to have a toggle option, so I had to ask. Most people aren’t playing sanctioned tourneys
Tbh, I did talk before I looked it up. It's just that brook fighting boards pretty much always have it locked on because they enjoy their tournament sponsorships, though I know this has more appeal passed competition players. For the universal board there is an option for 2 different socd modes. One where simultaneous pressing of the left and right keys result in no input and another mode where the 2nd pressed input is the active input. So if you are holding forward and press back in mode 2, it will just make you start walking backwards. This is however only on dpad mode. If you switch to LS emulation mode, the socd doesn't modify inputs. Though, in stock form, I don't know if this fightstick has the switch hooked up to change to LS or RS modes. In the stick presented there is no switch soldered to the stick mode selection. Plus, it looks like you'd have to disassemble the stick to flip the mode if you had a switch hooked up. So that effectively works as a tournament lock.
This was pioneered by Hitbox, but that is the name of the company so the community has struggled with what to call these. Many people call them hitboxes, but that's like calling tissue Kleenex
It sounds really cool. However, for that kind of price, why not hot-swappable switches? I understand you "went for performance", but it wouldn't take away any performance. Zero added delay: not 1 millisecond, not one nanosecond, zero. For that kind of price, we should have had that. Do you *really* believe the average person has a clear mind on the difference between Cherry red, Cherry blue, Cherry green, Kailh red, and Kailh blue? Come on, look at the ergodox-ez guys. They did just that. Their keyboard costs about as much as your device, but you can easily swap any switch you want in it. It's possible. No "performancez" loss whatsoever.

It’s on brother
This design is ridiculously clever, guys. I'm definitely going to get one.
What a beautiful Hitbox controller.
I can't wait for joystick version!

@@iamtheflu there in a process of making a stick version it's on there twitter I wanting for this to be back in stock
@@iamtheflu they just released a prototype it's sick bro
@@ofat9082 Could you link or tell me when the showed it? I searched that twitter for a good long minute and didn't find it.

dieing for that WADS version !
The concept is so Nice
Extremely excited with how ambitious this design is, even more excited to get my hands on it!
Sold: this is amazing. So beautiful and functional. You should be proud.
Beautiful. I will love to try that on my streaming channel
For the artwork, will you provide measurements so we can start planning on getting them commissioned from our artists?
We will be releasing more information on this
That looks amazing. Glorious excecution!
Awesome controller. A+ for portability.
Best and smartest design by far .
How do you connect the brook board to the pcb? Is it pogo pins?
is this avaliable for purchase? the website says "preorders ship october 1st"
want.
I love this design! This might be my first hitbox. When will it be available to order?
Soon just need to check on small modification on the plexi

we will offer the template and have people who are willing to produce them
One can only hope there will be a joystick version one day
I gotta have one of these!
You guys still sold out ? I would like to purchase one
Is the area with the Brook UFB slightly raised or is it flush? I couldn't quite tell but I suspect it is slightly raised.
Flush

Currenting watering start the mouth for the moment I can scoop a unit of two up 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
this is a beautiful sexy piece of engineering, great work guys!
What systems will this support and how are the top buttons configured? Thanks!
touch pad, l3, r3, home select start, and this is using a Brook Universal Fighting Board
Excellent choices! Thanks!
I’m not familiar with the board. Is there an option to switch an SOCD cleaner on and off?
Brook has SOCD built in
You can't turn it off. Mostly because most tournament organizers want an SOCD locked on.

So the switches are soldered on. What's the typical lifespan of the switches you're using?
About 50M presses. They carry Cherry MX, Gateron, and Greetech, your choice.
50 million activiations, very easy to change with the righ tools and we will offer this.
I wonder what the price is. I'm pre ordering it day one.
225
they're targeting $225 so that will probably be what it is
Will this be a Kickstarter?
we will just sell
I heard 30mm button caps, are these 30mm buttons?
The caps are 30mm, but there are no rims
is there a different name for an arcade stick that does not have a stick on it that's also not a fighting pad

The cable needs to be less protrade to outside / example the cable needs to be more protected.
Is it PS5 Compatible with Guilty Gear
The bottom needs to be non slippery
