This was pretty helpful, but now that we have updated stick designs, it might be a good idea to update the build. Either way, thanks as this did help me put together my AWESOME Chun-Li V2. Soon, I’ll build another Junk Food Arcade Stick.
I've never built a stick before nor do I know the parts manufacturing procedure. But I'm curious if it would be possible to build a crossup controller layout in the current size of the box. Would the number of face buttons end up cramping the comfort on the palm, would there be enough internal real estate to accomodate the wires, etc.
hey I was just wondering since I just got my stick with the Brook PCB do i need another cord for it to connect to my computer or to any other system or does it come with those cords.
Ajax hey, there is a cable adapter that plugs into the joystick connector. Once you attach it, plug the first pair of leads into the "left", then "up", then "right", then "down".
@@junkfoodarcades4647 also, would you happen to know why I would get an error for too many usbs connected on a ps4 when it's just the snackbox plugged in?
@@junkfoodarcades4647 thanks that fixed it, my last issue is that the buttons that are for movement aren't really functioning properly. Like the down button works, but the other buttons only respond when I'm also pressing the down button. Do you have any idea how to fix this?
Explosive Bear we can do that for you if you are ordering a case (request it in the notes of your order). However we don’t stock them and since they are wider than what we use it will limit you to 4 buttons on the back + neutrik.
What is the advantage of the neutrik usb connector? I'm thinking about ordering soon, and may order x2 of these sticks (one for my myself, one for my daughter)..I want to do it right.
Brett S. None, just preference. They are both panel mount connectors used frequently in industrial spaces. The connector we use is the only one that fits the back panel with 6 buttons.
Im slightly confused. I tried to put the screws in for the joystick slots but they become extremely tight halfway through and leave a substantial amount of remaininng screw, resulting in a very loose joystick. Is this normal or am i missing something? I've stripped my screwdriver and I dont wanna break anything else on the actual stick lol
They will be tight. Just keep going. You may want to find a different Philips head screw driver that engages better with the screw head. Press down on the top with one hand and turn with the other. We do not recommend using a screw gun. By hand is the best approach. You may hear some squeaking, just keep going until it’s all the way against the mounting plate. I can send you some more if they are stripped, just use the contact us form and let us know.
@@junkfoodarcades4647 ok cool just making sure I wouldn't break it if I continued hahaha thank you very much for the instructions and speedy reply. I'll go try again now and let you know if I have anymore questions on there. My girlfriend loves her new fightstick 👍thanks again
I would just like to note, be aware that the polarity of the cable attachment to the buttons matters (They are marked underneath). I broke one of the pins on my button taking the connectors off because i had attached the cables backwards
A great video. Very informative. I am about to order mine and now am confident in doing so.

Any chance we can get an update for the V2 mini?
Close to ordering the parts I need to assemble my Zato-1 Box
I'm in the same boat!
what kind of material is the top plate? He says he uses wood screws but that is not wood is it? Looks great regardless
Hi, I’m going to order one, but how do I know which cable is wired to which, it really confuses me that I never build a arcade stick
We offer a build out service if you are still unsure

I am wondering the same. If you've tried it already, how did it turn out?
not a moment too soon either, just ordered my snackbox!
How did it end up? Love it? Which one you get?

I got a hitbox version of this instead of one with a joystick, which 4 wires should I use for the movement buttons?

@@junkfoodarcades4647 I see, thanks for the fast response 👍🏾

Hey, did you buy your parts al focusattack? Is it there any other reliable website for buying buttons and electronics? :0
Is this case compatible with the neutrik usb connector?

That's cool
Do you guys make a box that uses 24mm front buttons like a hitbox, but takes a sanwa stick instead ?
Rob Allen we don’t right now but may be able to help next year when things calm down.
@@junkfoodarcades4647 Thanks, keep up the good work, looking forward to grabbing one of those new hitboxes when they are back in stock to try out !

With the brooks universal fighting board could I play on Xbox and PS4?
Yep. You can play Pc, Ps4, Xbox, and Switch.
This is on!
I miss my wife

I think I can make it by using cutting board
Mine is different
Mine is also missing a bunch of parts Joystick ball top, power Connection, and all six side buttons.
