    What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
    What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

      Well I think it's rude. To be weird by definition mean's you're unnatural, abnormal, freakish, which is a messed up thing to say, that we're all freaks. That's something the bullies would have said. And saying all humans are weird is just misanthropic. I'm normal, and so is she, not that it matters for me since I don't consider myself human due to all this. I think the first guy needs to realize exactly what he said as well as anyone who agrees with him. I'm sorry, but that's just a disrespectful thing to say. For me personally, his quote of "we're all weird, we're human beings" is one of the reasons why I consider myself non-human. (And no, that doesn't mean I'm otherkin, in case anyone asks.)

    One thing I really love and respect about WWYD is that they really try to cast actors that have experienced the situation and/or are a part of the community- Deaf actors, LGBTQ+, plus sized women, Tourettes, etc. One of the most diverse casts on TV 😅

    • @Stormed95
      @Stormed95 2 роки тому +17

      @@dreamgirl7022 Of course, that too! Luckily that’s harder for films and tv to get away with faking these days - movies/shows will usually get called out pretty hard for things like black face or actors portraying another race. I’m glad things like deafness and sexuality are following suit, allowing actors with those experiences a shot as well! Of course we do still need WAY more diverse casts on television race-wise. That fight is definitely not over 💪🏼

      I was in a similar situation once. I have epilepsy and my seizures happen when I’m asleep and at some point I had pretty bad seizure and ended up in the hospital. The doctors and nurses straight up assumed that I was on drugs as well. The reason, I’m pretty sure, is because I’m half black. That’s the problem for people of color; it feels like they don’t always get the representation and help they need.

    This hits home for me. I was diagnosed with tourettes when I was 10 years old. Now at 21 it has become a little easier to live with, but I was bullied at times because of this. Eventually I decided to not let this disease define me. It broke me to see people treat her that way. Cause that girl was me being bullied. To those who stood up I say we need more people like that.

      Most people avoid confrontation but when a situation escalates they feel like they need to step in. And because they are in a defensive state and way out of their comfort zone..adrenaline is on the high. Shaking cant be helped especially because they are in yhe fight or flight response. But yeah ive heard alot of woman say that... men may just not want to admit it on camera or with people or the women that said it may just have a strong defensive response to such situations (due to previous experiences with violence) or just that they have high hormones naturally or during the period time.

    As someone who was bullied (not a strong enough word) by one of my brothers, my “dad”, other kids and strangers in my high-school years, it restores my faith in humanity to see and hear people stand up and defend the kid being bullied.
    I remember the first time someone stood up for me (my other brother Eric, who’s my best friend today) I remember how loved and cared for I felt that day, I can’t remember a time (excluding my Mama) even to this day (20 years later) where I felt that loved, that proud and that…confident. It was the first time I felt like I really had a big brother. The way I always imagined a big brother should and would be like. It still brings me to tears and fills me with so much love. He has loved and supported me through the worst times of my life and I will always stand by him through thick and thin, no matter what. My love for him is unconditional.

    As someone with OCD and Tics, thank you so much for doing this episode. Tourette’s/OCD is so misunderstood. We need more awareness and education so these situations don’t happen in real life anymore. I was bullied by my own teacher for my tics. I got punished for ticking in class. I still get made fun of for my OCD as an adult. People aren’t educated on these conditions, and they often have misconceptions about them and invalidate them.
