I'm a Beatles fanatic... It's probably almost sad how much I know about them... And this right here is single handedly the best Beatles cover... He perfectly nails all 3 voices especially Paul and Johns on the solo!
HE also nails the cut of the track after the bridge. George Martin talks about how he had to combine two different takes and there's a noticeable rift right after the bridge before they come back in. THAT detail is what blew me away...besides the perfection of every nuance. Cheers to a great cover!
hi! am an Italian girl! I'm 16, I play classical guitar for 7 years and I love the Beatles, but above all, I love Paul McCartney. I wanted to congratulate you, a genius , YOU ARE A GENIUS.
This song has one of the best breaks in it of its time. Many others have covered this classic on YT, I've listened to over 30 of 'em, and this boy (God, no pun intended), has got the best harmony, rhythm and tempo of all of them... And the break was perfection! Great job!
Making an awkward tape edit by accident is actually quite easy, I've learned. Making a subtle edit mistake on purpose takes engineering idiosyncratic pedantry to an entirely new level. I doff my cap to you sir, you've made us proud.
You are incredible! Multi-talented with all those instruments, and a killer voice to boot! You sounded like each Beatle in the harmonies--I'm speechless!
Brings tears this this old baby boomer's eyes.... I've been playing guitar professionally for 44 years, lots of Beatles, and you capture the absolute soul and essence of their music... Please... MORE ! MORE ! MORE !
My favorite Beatles songs are the ones with close harmonies like this. I have never heard anyone do it better. I especially like the harmony breakdowns you do. I haven't seen anyone else do it like you. Respect.
I really want to say how much I enjoyed this. It allowed a Beatles lover like me with zero musical ability to see all the parts and how they go together. I truly loved it.
@@AllYouNeedIsLub I grew up in Liverpool - I wish I could tell you that I saw the Beatles - but I was a year too young to be let loose in L'pool at night! They were the soundtrack to my youth though - and with this video you've done them proud!
Not only is this excellent musicianship but it is great to see younger people see how real music sounds and is made. I lived through the Beatles craze and they were absolutely brilliant musicians. There will never be a match to them. I watched your hands on the instruments to see if I could see a mistake and there were none. I couldn't believe you were doing this so expertly. You're an unbelievable musician! I'm looking for more of your work!
Checking out other Beatles covers on You Tube, none comes as close as Andrew Lubman. Where others try to reinvent the wheel, Andrew faithfully does homage to the Mop Tops in re-creating exactly their pop genius. Well done Andrew....PS How do know?...I was there in '63 when they were finding their way past the Searchers!
Incredible attention to detail. I not only admire your significant musical skills as a musician and vocalist........but your attention to detail. Bravo, yet again............
You can't imagine how difficult and time consuming it is to do something like this song, and get this level of results, unless you have tried it yourself. This is high quality material.
Such an incredibly perfect rendition of a classic Beatles song! I’m always in awe of multi-talented musicians like this young man! He nailed every harmony and every instrument! Kudos to you!
@GrasbyMike Thanks for the compliments. You may be interested to know that I've already posted another video of this song where you can listen to the individual harmony parts in isolation. It's called "'This Boy' harmony breakdown".
I've been a fan of the Beatles since as far back as I can remember, I'm 57, and I was TOTALLY blown out of my chair watching this! I happened upon it looking up In My Life and am so glad I did! The former comment is correct, this should have 20X the views it does! So being posted on Facebook! Thank you for sharing your incredible talents!
@unclesaboin Actually, I purposely put that in to emulate the tape edit that can be heard in the same spot on the original recording. I know it's not an exact match, but I realized that when I started obsessing over 40 milliseconds of silence, it was time to move on and post the video.
Good eyes! I try to put some sort of visual cue in all the videos to indicate which vocal part I'm singing. In my video of "When I'm 64", for the background vocal parts, I'm wearing shirts that match the colors of the "Pepper" uniforms. In my video of "Because", I'm wearing similar clothes to what they're wearing on the cover of the "Abbey Road" album.
Brilliant rendition, with insight into how The Beatles achieved their harmony. Also like your separate video of harmony breakdown. Very interesting and great to listen to.
Basically, I sang the same part twice. For this recording, I added a little slap-back echo to one of the two solo parts, as it sounds that way on the original.
Brilliant cover - you have got the harmonies just right and I think they're very difficult. I used to listen to this song over and over just to hear the harmonies. Amazing cover
Hello my friend your voice is incredible. I sing as well I am 69 years old. Thank you for putting so much work to this one song I'm going to check out your Channel I'm sure there's a lot more there. You're the best Beatle cover this far. I have chronic pain my friend. I'm in bed with ice packs pain medication Etc. This cover Just made my day 🌍🌏🌎💙. Thank you I will share this with some of my friends. I saw the Beatles in 1966 at Dodger Stadium Los Angeles. I was 15 at the time. Keep on rocking my friend. Arnold Bourbon Amaral USA
What a great cover. Congratulations on a beautiful job. Another Beatles song that would sound great by you is "You're Gonna Lose That Girl" Thanks for the music to enjoy.......
I explained it in the video description above. In the original recording, George is playing an electric-acoustic guitar plugged in to an amplifier. To simulate the sound of his guitar being picked up acoustically by the microphones in the studio, I placed a mic in front of the body of the guitar that I was using, and combined that with the amplified sound.
Been listening to all of these again. Just incredible. As someone who’s always tried to figure out how the songs are put together, it’s amazing to see and hear it done, virtually identical. Thank you, and very curious as to what will be next!
This is honestly one of the best videos I've ever seen, and you are truly gifted! I learned so much by watching your harmony breakdown video of this song, and then when you put it all together, it was just breathtaking. Thank you so much for doing it. I'd sure love to see you do more Beatles. You're amazing!
Wow! All I can say is Wow! I think you are blessed with a very good vocal range and are using it to recreate this Beatles Masterpiece! God Bless you sir! You nailed it! Wow!👏
I have to give you all respect.I get frustrated because the guys in the band I am in cannot sing well and sometimes I could scream! You do an excellent job.
My favorite recreated detail here is the "hard splice" (what sounds in the original Beatles recording like they dovetailed two separate takes) at 1:29. Absolutely brilliant. I've been finding all your videos remarkably uplifting.
Thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying them. Also glad you appreciate my "re-creation" of the edit :) From what I've read, the edit we hear in the original was a result of them editing out an instrumental passage.
One of my favorites. How is it possible you're not famous? I think it's because you follow the music from our past and not the garbage that the kiddies blindly listen to now. How sad that their eyes haven't opened yet.
As a life long Beatles fan I can honestly say this is the best I have ever heard of a cover by anyone. Truly gifted and a great sound=well done and keep producing this fabulous sound. This is a song my brother and I are learning at present and are having challenges with the harmonies and this video is an inspiration. Many thanks for posting.
@gsaugen There are, in fact three voices on the original recording (John, George and Paul), and then four more voices during the middle section. Why do you feel that there are only two? Anyway, I'm glad you liked the video, and I like your comment :)
No one, I repeat, *no* *one,* covers THIS BOY as well as this guy. Great job!
I agree. Best cover I've ever heard of this song
And so say all of us!
G Town Dave Well.....Yeah no
This guy is really good! I found another cover that is just as good though... Im not sure which one i like better though. Search up Monalisa This boy

I love how you did the literall recording cut after John's part...

I think John's voice was double tracked on the solo.
Watching in 2024. ❤. No words !!
@@annwatson6733 Thank you!
You absolutely nailed one of John's finest recorded vocal moments. (We all know the bit I mean.)
Thanks!

Did he pay you to say that. Sounds like the Beatles in the background.
This song has one of the best breaks in it of its time. Many others have covered this classic on YT, I've listened to over 30 of 'em, and this boy (God, no pun intended), has got the best harmony, rhythm and tempo of all of them... And the break was perfection! Great job!

By 'break' you mean the high part, don't you ?
I come back to this video at least once a day, I love it so much! Could you cover, If I fell in Love with you?
Thank you! (I will definitely consider “If I Fell”. A few people have asked for that one.)
he even got the audio cut at 1:28... wow
Still in 2023 🤘🤘🤘

agreed you should cover every beatles tune , totally brilliant

Jimmy, my sentiments exactly.
In my opinion, this is one of John Lennon’s greatest moments compositionally. Oh and this cover is ridiculously good!
And Lennons voice...Hoo Boy!!
Very, very pleasing on the ear. Well done sir!
@@DavidPettett-z4h Thank you!
I can't beleive my ears and eyes this is the best Beatles cover ever made....
Brilliant mate well done....this boy (1963) it's all too much (1969) my two favorite Beatles songs
My favorite Beatles songs are the ones with close harmonies like this. I have never heard anyone do it better. I especially like the harmony breakdowns you do. I haven't seen anyone else do it like you. Respect.

Terrific stuff, Thank you so much.
Thank you!

Far and away the best cover version of this great Beatles song.. It's right up there with the original. Absolutely superb..

I find the harmonies on this one particularly hard to figure out and sing. Very impressive that you were able to separate them by ear.
Incredible attention to detail. I not only admire your significant musical skills as a musician and vocalist........but your attention to detail. Bravo, yet again............
Fantastic. Talent

the best beatles cover ever.
This HASTO BE the VERY BEST one-man cover of a Beatles song that I have EVER heard. Totally awesome.
I absolutely love that each of these is you recording the actual take. Refreshing.

Yes I did. Take a look at the video description. I go into more detail there. Glad you like the video :)
Congratulations and thanks for sharing your fantastic cover ... First-class work on all vocals and instruments!

Staggering. And I don't count myself among Beatles fans. You have an astonishing ability to deconstruct music. Lovely. Brilliant. Breathtaking.
