Hey guys , I'm an ex-tech from the late 80's I used to install a hidden kill switch on all my vehicles as well as my friends vehicle's just to prevent vehicle thefts. My current truck is a 2006 silverado diesel and I have a hidden kill switch that interups the signal from the key to the starter relay installed. It works great , it's very easy to turn on and off. But you'd never see it . I highly recommend installing one these on your personal vehicles with all the car & truck thefts happening around us these days . Tony Felton , De.
Or pop the hood, pull the fuel pump relay out, and or put a bogus one in its place and put the good one in your pocket. Anything along that line will make them go to easier Pickens. When i go into the mountains away from everything and am hiking into lakes no where near anything, you need to think ahead on things like that. take away the ability to run off with the rig.
Many years ago I put a kill switch in the cigarette lighter of my sister's Jeep CJ-5 it worked great till a friend went to light a cigarette while they're going down the road 😁
Great advise! My mechanic installed a hidden kill switch in our F-350 a few years ago. I ALWAYS use it whenever or wherever I park. I also always us The Club steering wheel lock, and remove the stereo face plate. That kill switch saved the truck from getting stolen last year. All we had to do was replace the door locks.
I was devastated when I heard about their truck being stolen (we know about the “violation” feeling, having had out home broken into). But when I saw & heard about the Sarasota FD bringing them a truck (& 2000 miles!) I started crying - so overwhelming awesome & generous ... 💖💓
It's been almost 10 years since our home was broken into and it still hurts when I think about it. My heart goes out to them. One the flip side, that is one beautiful Bluebird!

Don't come to Illinois. Our worthless Governor Pritzker believes in letting criminals free...convicted murderers, rapists, child molesters, drug dealers and politicians roaming the streets just to do it again. I'm from Illinois but not from the Chicago area. The rest of the State has morals. Chicago should be a separate State.
Thanks Marc and Trish for sharing our story and the positive outcome! It was a gut wrenching experience losing that truck and all of our belongings in it. However, we are so thankful for your help and generosity. We have been so blessed with the support, generosity, and kindness of you and so many others that we were able to continue our trip. It’s absolutely incredible, and we have been moved to tears several times because of it. We are forever grateful. I hope others can learn from our experience to be careful with your vehicles when traveling. My next truck will have a kill switch and hidden Apple air tag inside for extra precaution. Thanks again we love KYD!
@@mark_r49 You say that as if it is fact and not just your opinion. You give off an air of eliteness. Thank you for including your friend's horrifying experience of his truck being stolen. We are about to take a Sept. trip through Colorado and this causes us to think more vigilantly. Ironically, my husband woke up Sunday morning and told me about a horrible dream he had of our Ford truck and airstream being stolen! On top of that, our son is a Sarasota firefighter! Community is where it's at. Love you all- you are our Sunday night TV show that we never miss!!

Welcome to our RV park!! I was out tonight on a late night potty walk with my dog Sophie when I was walking past the pool and did a double take! "Wait! I just saw this "Daydream " bus reveal on KYD with Mark & Trish the other day!" and "Hey that's Trish's Subaru!!" ha ha ha!! I literally took a picture and short video & sent it to the boys back at the RV! ha ha ha. They kept saying "No Way" ha ha. If you haven't stayed here before, you will LOVE the park! So many great amenities! We are actually traveling full time because of you guys and a full time travel nurse family on You Tube! My husband decided, as an ICU nurse to become an ICU travel nurse over a year and a half ago!! We did Airbnb while we saved $$ until a month and a half ago when we finally bought our 5th wheel and truck to tow it! I've been watching you guys since your kids were "Kids". One day I will figure out how to edit all the videos I have taken and start that You tube channel we keep talking about! Thanks for all the great videos, stories, laughs, advice and most of all the inspiration to take a leap of faith and just go for it! My husband's passion is sailing! So one day in the future we will trade this all in for the full time life on a sail boat! Maybe we will see you out there as well! If I get a chance, I will try to catch you outside tomorrow and if you are leaving...then hopefully before you do! Oh and tell Kaleb next time....safety glasses and a mask! HA, HA, HA!! His reaction was priceless!! Enjoy your stay!
When you visited Lane’s you were just a few miles away from where they built your rig. Blue Bird is still based there. The old Wonderlodge factory became bus expansion.
Just LOVE that RV! My Irish Wheaton Terrier after 5,000 miles is still nervous and jerky and walks nervously all over but seems to settle right where Charlie does by the co-pilot window on the floor. She was all over my levelers on my left side the first 500! It will take you a couple of thousand miles to feel at home behind the wheel. Once you do, it's heaven on wheels.
To all that have helped others in a time of need. Thank you! We all in the community need to help those in need. The biggest thing was seeing the children happy. Hope that I can help someone one day. Happy Camping
Good morning! Wow..I am still in awe with your wanderlodge! What a nostalgic rig! And….the sellers and their neighbors were incredible! Looks like all the dogs were living a grand life too! The way the community mustered together to help the family that had their truck stolen is truly inspiring! I hope they could continue on their vacation. Whooooaaaa….NASCAR time next week! That will be fun to watch! PS. Tell train guy to head on out to Ouray when his rig comes in. We have a spot for him!
I love the fact that there's no slide outs and there is so much room inside you get to enjoy it when you're going down the road you're not squished like a sardine
OMG, my Aunt Kay drove that Ford Crown Victoria 1955, or 56 model in that color! I was young but will never forget she had the wheel finder wall covers in the back! So sleek in the 50's!
This is just incredible. What an awesome way to engage this amazing KYD audience with the bird. So fresh, and so different. How exciting. And shoot dang... that train car basement was sooo cool. We would have been LOST creating epic broll segments for sure. Really enjoying this content guys - can’t wait for next Sunday already!! Go NASCAR!!
Soooooo... much!!!!!!! That train room is AMAZING! The bus! The stolen truck is so frustrating to see and yet, how people come together to take care of each other gives me such hope! That train! That Bus! Charlie being a little bit of a drama queen in the bus! Missy and Bunny... so sweet and fun! Caleb, what a fun, funny and NICE kid! That train... PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE!! Trish and Marc, you guys are such a pleasure to watch... so much fun and love! Can't wait for more in THAT BUS!!!
I loved seeing you use your platform to help a camper in need and to give him airtime to say thanks. With all the negativity out there it shows the goodness in life and the camping community.❤️
Excellent episode!! Glad that family has been helped by so many people. That was unreal that his buddies from the Fire Department drove a pickup truck 2,000 miles to them. It don’t get no better than that!!
So unfortunate for the gentleman and his family to have their truck stolen…glad so many people came together to help them. For the individuals who took the truck…karma is real. I’m so in love with “the bird” if/when you guys get ready to sell it I would like to be on the list…that beast is gorgeous!!!
Wow, great watch. Poor Caleb gets the “drip” . Charlie makes the show. Still a little shocked about the “bird”. Reminds me the old school buses I use to ride. 😂 Love the sound of the diesel though. 😊 Stay safe. 🧡🦮
Marc, you are enjoying that bus a little tooo much!! Your handling it like a CHAMP!! My heart sank looking at the video of them taking his truck!!! I love you guys !! That Bird is elegant!!
Just got back from a trip to CO myself. I can't speak about the rest of CO but Denver has gone to crap. Crime is definitely going way up and it seems like the city/state doesn't care. Becoming like CA with homeless and crime. Used to live there. Loved it. Not going back again. Good work stepping up and helping take care of the Bertran(?) family.
This rig has really grown on me. It seems more home-like than most of everything I’ve seen. I hope to see “livability reports,” including weather. I’m a little surprised that Marc didn’t say something like “Well, Caleb, you know what they say about looking at black water hoses - here’s mud in your eye.”
I love it! Being apart of the fire service brotherhood myself as well, this brings a smile to my face because anyone of us would do the same! Also they just raced in my state today haha
OMG this literally has been the best episode in a while. I have been the biggest toy train fan all my life! And then tears of emotion flowing for that poor family who lost their truck. God is good all the time and I'm glad their are such good people in the RVing community.
What an incredible display and dedication for trains. My uncle Tony was an admirer and I'm just blown away by his display...thank you for sharing. This is truly an underrated hobby.
9:30 in the world of group motorcycle riding, she's in the Charlie position. Leader calls "Charlie, grab the right lane". Last bike changes right when safe and holds back, and everyone in front of him slides over as the space he's holding opens up.
I never knew it had a name or that others did this. I try to explain this to people when following them on the road but it always goes over their head. My ex & I had this down.
I am always so impressed with Caleb. He is such a sweet kid and game for everything. I am sure there are off camera attitudes but his spirit shows thru loud and clear. Good job mom and dad! Your adventures are always wonderful but I enjoy watching Caleb experience it all.
The good (the train room). The bad (the theft) and the ugly (the sewer drip). Nice video guys! Such great personalities and the expressions on Kaleb’s face…Priceless.
Having the community come together, including Blue Ox, was fantastic...something America needs more of! Super awesome to see the support & love!! And talk about having front-row seats for the race!!!! WOW!! Plus a private bathroom, fresh food, and NO LINES!!!!!
Sorry Mark and Trish, I must have missed the video that told us what you did with your Airstream. Did you sell it ?. Always enjoy watching your travel's.
One of the best video’s of excitement, happiness and compassion! I upgraded April 4, 2021 from a 30’ class A to a 36’ 2020 class A. Trust me, take your time feeling Gun hole and I got this. I was backing into our drive and went off our covert, and we just had our brick entrance taken apart, because the tail swing on the RV. Finally all parts are in and we take it Saturday for repairs. 2 more weeks means a month, until I am back in the saddle again. I will be 70 in October, my husband does not want to retire, so since 2017 I have been mostly soloing. I love driving, learned the hard way, backing even with camera’s can shut you down. Have a safe onward bound trip!
Week in and week out I get more and more impressed with Caleb and his maturity level. Watching your family grow in your adventures has been a blessing. Thank you so much!
All so cool! I didn’t want the episode to end! Poor Charlie, you would think he would love having the space. But then we had a class A with wood floors and our Yorkies were nervous walking around while we were moving. Is there a source for more of the story of the truck getting stolen? Was it at night, were they away from the truck, how did they get it started? Love your adventures.
Great video. Lots of great moments and memories. Buses were designed to be operated and steered using the shuffle method. Palming the steering wheel decreases the operator's control. We've been teaching the shuffle method for years and our drivers have reduced their backing and close quarters collisions. Keep up the great work and enjoy the Bird. Looking forward to hearing "Dixie" on your musical horn.
Love watching your show. Did you know there a new RV park in Talladega AL? Just a few miles from the nascar track. You should go camp there and do a review. Time Away RV Resort they on fb and UA-cam.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Have fun
Well, you may have saved a SuperDuty from another theft. I'm installing a kill switch tomorrow. That was heartbreaking, seeing his truck leaving without him.
Ok those trains are amazing, as a kid I inherited from my brothers a nice collection of Lionel trains, still have the trains, lost the track in a move, but that setup there is fantastic, thank you for sharing that, and great cinematography of the trains too!!!
Motorhomes are the only way to travel to events or just traveling period. I'm now at Oshkosh EAA Airventure and next stop is the IMSA Race at Road America. Fun Times.
When he said he "made it" 16 years ago and now hes going to use it, i caught on because thats something I'd had said about my own kids being put to the task. Looks like a fun trip here.
I feel that "The Bird" is going to be a huge hit for your channel. You are so lucky to have her. Talk about fuel mileage so others don't become as excited as you. She is a beast! Can't wait for next Sunday's episode.
I’m really liking the Bluebird RV. I feel so sorry for the family that got their truck stolen, but also so happy for people coming together to help them out.
Absolutely phenomenal camera work throughout, but especially during the train sequence. Marvelous use of depth of field and editing. The quality of the production is incredible. Well done, Marc.
11:36.... He uses the ashtray like all kids did... A fidget flapper. Except back in the day your fingers actually came away smelling like old cigarettes.
OMG! You guys were just a couple days ahead of us. We live on the north side of Atlanta and drove home on Sunday. Our son was flying back to Oregon on Tues the 12th. I think the Atlanta Motor Speedway is the best! Wish my hubby was a NASCAR fan. I have the hardest time getting him to go to a live race. LOVE Caleb! When I saw the water drip, I panicked for him! HUGS~Donna
At least he doesn't pee in someone's elegant fireplace like Macron's dog. Video I saw today of the French leader having a meeting in his fabulous parlour and dog comes in, shows his disdain for the company.
Another awesome video! Hopefully things work out for everyone and a truck is found in tact! Great to hear that community is so helpful. Safe travels to all!!!
I love your videos. Today’s was very special to me as my Dad who passed away in 2018 had a train room in his basement, and while not as big as your friends still very special to him and me. Thank you for sharing.
I was so glad the Bertrand family got another truck and they were able to finish their trip. That man’s train set was INCREDIBLE, totally amazed and in love with it!!
Like all your episodes, this one is so much fun!! The bus, the train set, the neighbors...just plain wonderful!! And the love for our fellow travelers!!
Probably one of my favorite episodes. Sitting at Holland state park camping, it is a sobering reminder how vulnerable we all are while away from home. And the generosity of strangers is a much welcomed sight in today’s times.
This has to be one of the best depictions of your lifestyle videos ever . You are allowing your followers to see a family and friends insight into the experience lived. Thank you. By the way I still feel this latest RV is still unrealistic for anyone to contemplate after everything you have had. Your limitless funds are the only thing that makes sense when portraying another adventure.
Your videos are incredible, and I can't help but feel good every time I watch one. We start full time in a couple of months, and can only hope we do even 1/4 as well as your family. Truly inspriational.

Having the community come together, including Blue Ox, was fantastic...something America needs more of! Super awesome to see the support & love!!
And talk about having front-row seats for the race!!!! WOW!! Plus a private bathroom, fresh food, and NO LINES!!!!!
“Sewer pulley”
😂😂😂
Seriously this made the video for me like 30 seconds in!
Straight up, me too!! LMAO!!!
Took a second for me to realize what he meant, lamo!
Marc’s dad jokes… My new favorite 🤣
@@57dent Me too!😂 Poor Caleb.
Awesome 😎 excited to see next Sunday . Be safe .
Sorry Mark and Trish, I must have missed the video that told us what you did with your Airstream. Did you sell it ?. Always enjoy watching your travel's.
Nope. It is in the shop getting repairs to the exterior and the leak inside issue before the do an inside repair. They will keep it.
Me too. Would really like to know the story with that...
After repairs are you keeping the AS as well as the Bird, or just 1 of them??
Yes, it is a bit confusing, 2 Riggs?
That's a good price on those tires. $76 for that welding is also cheap. I hope that was painted soon. Cool bus.
If you had a blowout on old tires you would pay many times that price to have had new tires. Smart.
Alright Sunday is complete 😊
Well, you may have saved a SuperDuty from another theft. I'm installing a kill switch tomorrow. That was heartbreaking, seeing his truck leaving without him.
Yes, I should do the same. I love my truck and now they are very expensive and hard to get!
@@KeepYourDaydream any info on what year model it was?
@@KeepYourDaydream I thought all cars are trackable these days. ON STAR or something? I don't drive.
@@benmbroughton Looks like a 99-03 F-250 or F-350.
@@jeanburk9539 Sadly, that truck was probably chopped and dumped within a few hours.
Fun Times.
Awesome!!! I am so proud for you all. This was my dream, didn't get it, but had some great times camping.
I waited for like 30 seconds to see Marc’s sewer pulley invention....
>_
lol.
When he said he "made it" 16 years ago and now hes going to use it, i caught on because thats something I'd had said about my own kids being put to the task. Looks like a fun trip here.
I laughed out loud when he said that
Am I the only one who actually thought there was an pulley invention? 😂
@@treysteem6 -- Nope! LOL...
That bus is spectacular!! Wow! 😁❤️
Omg I am absolutely dying at 2:12 😂😂😂 poor guy
“What happened? Was that water?”
“I hope”
“Was that Gray water?”
“I don’t hope”
Get that boy some goggles! Lol!
No need new way open and close the valve
@@akdisney something LITERALLY dripped on his face..... yea the boy needs goggles. Lol
@@leviwyatt5921 And some therapy. 😁
That hit the eye! 🥴🤢🤮
I feel that "The Bird" is going to be a huge hit for your channel. You are so lucky to have her. Talk about fuel mileage so others don't become as excited as you. She is a beast! Can't wait for next Sunday's episode.
The train room was phenomenal! So glad you found Charlie some friends to play with. Can't believe you got that parking space at the Speedway! Wow!...
I’m really liking the Bluebird RV. I feel so sorry for the family that got their truck stolen, but also so happy for people coming together to help them out.
“16 years ago I made a sewer pulley”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was pretty much the best comment ever on the show.
@@SharaWratev I bet it went over the heads of most everyone! 😂😂😂
Today a good use is for change or $$. I can think of a hundred things to use it for. lol
I was thinking replace them with wireless charging phone docks.
HUGS~Donna
Charley will always remind you that he does “dog stuff” and you need to get used to it. He is the dog.
Great to see some love for these older Blue Birds. Awesome!
The new bus, is awesome... Love it for you guys
We are hooked on this rv and have started our search. Awesome. Be safe
I think you guys are really loving that bus!
