My kids are all grown up, but I'm a visual person and this would be a great way to organize my files! I currently have a plastic file box, manilla folders and 3-ring binders! The binders work well for my extensive files that I don't access regularly, but this system will help me to be able to see my regularly accessed files such as bills, etc! TFS!

My daughter is in 5th grade. She comes home sometimes with certificates and such. Would you put those in with papers & art work or a separate folder?

Yes I would suggest keeping all school related documents in one location. The thought is that when she gets older you can pass one just one box to her filled with the most important school memories. The same thought process about what to keep or not keep would apply to the certificates as well, I would keep just the ones that are really special. Hope that helps!!
