If you are a pessimist you will be right, if you are an optimist you will be rich - wow!
Wonderful storytelling man! You inspired me, I'm in the exactly same situation now. Thank you so much
Down to Earth, solid information. Congrats on your success.
The QA shut down a bit abruptly.
Inspiring talk. Thank you!
Such a fun and inspiring talk.
Amazing talk!
While I was listening I had my both hands in the air around minute 9 then realized I am actually not in the room :D
lol, love it!
Great talk
Very inspiring
Can anyone recommend a similar channel, but for hardware businesses? That would be really interesting.
If someone says “we are definitely willing to pay for something of value” ask them. “What do you mean by that?”
Great story, relatable.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Iam in the same situation right now
I wonder what happened with ButterCMS
Great lecture, love it! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
The confirmation I needed that it is okay to work alone. Cause... you know... the internet... 🙄
by the time of me watching this, pull reminders is shut down unfortunately.
His compay got acquired by github all features have been added to github
the channel said he sold it to microsoft
What's the current status of the project. I googled and it looks like it's shutdown? Today is August 2022.
He sold it to Microsoft maybe 6 months after this was recorded.
@@MicroConf At what valuation did he sell?
Did he say what his latest MRR was?

"including crypto stuff"... / Laughs in 2022 dogecoin. Serious question do you regret not staying in the crypto area? Fomo is real for some early 2000s folks.
Thought the same thing when he said that. Wish I had bought more! Fuck!
No one needs a new Shitcoin but a cool product build on top of Bitcoin would be amazing like Microsofts authentication service.
Pull reminders has been shut down. He sold it to Microsoft.
That is good for him. But let's remember that in doing so we are feeding the machine, a monopoly that will eat up and destroy our ability to own our own product and own our own livelihood. Need to measure your own case and make your own judgement.
yea but this model is unsustainable in the long run, it's just a feature app on a platform. As soon as platform adds this specific feature, you are gone, arent you?
Maybe should’ve gone into crypto after all
Somewhat interesting, but his field of business is much different than mine. I sifted out the nuggets where I could find them.
Being a gen X, I found his way of speech (ending every other sentence in a higher tone, like he is asking a question) is very distracting and somewhat annoying.
Fun fact: This has been shutdown on Feb of 2022
Thanks, wasn't aware. Still, it seems it had a good run 👍
It was sold to Microsoft*
@@thomass98 any idea for how much it got sold?
@@thomass98 there is a memo on page and it does not mention selling.
