I really love the reviews on PowerDrift, especially the camera work and the brilliant editing. It's as close as one has got to TopGear style movies in India, and I can bestow no higher praise than that.
Although, that being said, just a tiny suggestion - some of the words are pronounced a little different from how they should be. It's not much, but enough to be noticeable and if they could be ironed out, I think I'll have nothing more to complain about in an otherwise perfect review.
Take the word "Cabin" for example. It is pronounced rather like 'kae-bin', when in fact it should be 'cab-in'. These are rare instances but once corrected can truly make the reviews beyond compare. Keep up the brilliant work.

i think i watched this for the 10th time....lol....love this video....the other day i was watching a review of Ciaz and the lady reviewing drove it in a straight line and decided it handles amazingly lol....and for some reason she claimed "The engine is excellent at cornering"....i dunno what the hell that means....i think it was someone from autocar....almost all the reviewers in India are really dumb....all they do is promote and talk about the exterior design and looks and steering mounted audio controls and bluetooth (those are nice to have) but no one ever talks about what really matters....the engine....the transmission....the suspension....the build quality...the reliability....the ride quality....the seating comfort....the boot....the handling etc etc......i'm thinking of upgrading from my 2008 Fabia (I love it btw....the build is excellent unlike the newer fabias and rapids)....and I have been longing for nothing but an Octavia....thanks for the video mate....really well done....thank you :)

I think you just "cornered her" by talking about her "engine cornering" ;) And yes i definitely agree with you on that !!! Power drift doesn't read out of some catalogue !!! They always put in a great effort ... in-turn coming up with a masterpiece of a video - answering to all the practical real life scenarios - And always making sure .... they do not BACK OUT on the humor and the other interesting bits on the surrounding environment - which make it even more interesting !!! Ho-ah !!!!

One of the best reviews i have seen of Skoda Octavia. Kudos to the powerdrift for making such a wonderful review. The music, presentation, editing was all top notch. When it comes to video reviews i dont think any other auto shows or video reviews can match you guys. You guys are a level above others.

Your review made me buy this car.. The anniversat addition with all the features that were missing such as keyless entry.. Engine start stop etc.. Well i don't have any problems with the after sale service..cuz Skoda have certainly improved it in the recent years.!

I'm going for the 1.8 tsi, took a test drive of the car, and i have to say, its great!
And the DSG gearbox works wonders
hahah Utkarsh bro.. you're about to buy a beast just under 24 lakhs.. just be a little gentle on throttle :P :P that 1.8 TSI with 180 PS is insane.. and was the reason my dad bought me the 2.0 TDI :P :P
I hope the TDI is quick too.

Okay then PD.. time for a reality check.. right now i own a skoda laura 1.8 Tsi which is known for its handling.. in ur review of the new octavia u guys talked about handling for approximately 8 seconds which is not enough.. im saying this bcoz i took a test drive of same exact model n it truly sucks in handling.. softer suspensions make the car roll while u go in n out during overtaking on indian road and also it does not feel as confident in high speeds as the older octavia or the laura did.. another huge problem i noticed was the laziness of the dsg system to downshift which was extremely irritating while overtaking.. now these were the 2 most important down sides of the car which u shud have talked about in ur review.. i dont give a shit about editing or the bgm (it was over shadowing ur voice though) but i do care about how the care handles and its power delivery.. so plz take a note of this for ur future reviews.. ty n good luck :)

About the car, it is really an amazing machine, looks, performance, truly a legend. Slightly pricey, to match price, for sure catches every eye on road.
On negative side, not sure about rest of India, but bangalore skoda, after sales is a nightmare. A definite straight no to skoda till they improve on service. Some fake reviewers on internet are posting fake positive reviews but as a customer we know the reality. Everytime we give for service, our fabia petrol,

I have a Rapid and I hate it but thats cause we decided to get a cheap car. I am quite sure the Octavia would be a great option for you. I have heard nothing but bad stuff about the Chevrolet. How many people bad mouth the Skoda? not many.

Nice review. Weird pronunciations though, especially with the word "cabin" :) It would have also been nice to review the mid-range manual diesel rather than the AT. Most of the fancy features seen in Elegance don't appear in Ambition :( I keep hearing about Skoda's after sales service. How bad is it? Is it still as bad? What does Skoda have to say about this?

Excellent review. Objective but with a humerous touch. Interesting that they will also build in the Skoda factory in India (where do they have their plant?) but will have local specifications, fittings and price to suit the local market there. Does the factory in India export to other countries in that part of the world? Will they phase out production of the Laura or keep it going as a cheaper version - surely redundant now they have the Rapid?
Everything is almost here. Just one request. Lower the background sound when the host is talking. Also make it just a little bit more about the car. I mean, I like to see the car from the various angles you show, but somewhere the focus shifts more towards presenting the car than dissecting it for us generic people to make a decision. Trust me, you guys are really good. Sound issue and more of the car and less of "presentation only" that I ask for. Best of luck you guys. We were too bored with the autocar n ODs. You guys are inducing freshness here.

The interior Colour feels nice when its new (de beige colour) ,but this colour is really not suited,it Gets dirty easily ,Black colour feels Good.Thats by view,some people might have different taste too.One of the best thing i like of Skoda Octavia is the rear door ,its awesome .

Octavia will be a winner if you have no plans to get it serviced at all :)
Once you bring "after sales" aspect, skoda will strip your flesh out and eat you alive. You end up seeing your car getting degraded with every service.
