PowerDrift I think they tried to make the headlamps look similar to the old(2011 I guess) Mercedes Benz E class. Like any other Skoda, it is loaded with awesome features and the engine is great too, but I liked the headlamp design of the previous model

Skoda makes really solid cars. They should close down their service centers and integrate higher models with Audi Service and Rapid with probably VW.
Skoda is like HTC of Cars, excellent products but lacks Durability and After sales. The 2017 version looks Great. Hope it lives up to the expectation.

Again a missed opportunity by Skoda, they could have easily given the seven speed dsg setup in the 1.4 TSi, a brilliant gearbox, it is being used in a number of petrol powered VAG cars. By doing so they could have generated volumes as the pricing of 1.4 TSi would have been a lot friendlier . .. in a market that is eventually shifting to petrol powered cars . ... and there is a dearth of good petrol powered cars, VAG we hope you are listening.
am closely following powerdrift and the octavia 2020 due launch next month. Does octy's ground clearence tackle potholes and poorly designed in town speed breakers?

@PowerDrift What about the base variant of the Octavia with 1.4L Turbo Petrol Engine that gives about 150 bhp?
Is it better than petrol 1.8L Corolla Altis G and Elentra 2.0L SX MT?

I love this guy,The best part with Rohan is that, he would say that point which we really expect to say, unlike some other reviewers.The slightly bulged rear side ,they mentioned it helps for cruising and aerodynamics,

Now, you guys should put up a comparison with Elantra. Well, many people are waiting for it.
At first I hated the new headlights but it's grown on me. It's definitely different without being lairy, and in a sea of cars trying to look good and missing the mark, that's what I want, cool and classy but understated. Furthermore, you can trust the Skoda to punch well above it's weight in 'class'.

Based on a combination of sensory inputs (like the steering angle deviation, throttle/brake inputs etc), the vehicle determines if the driver is drowsy or not, and provides a warning signal/sound on the dash. Various OEMs have different algorithms / sensor combination for determining the same, but in general these are called 'fatigue detection' systems :)
Nice review. Always follow powerdrift reviews. I have one doubt, with all those features skoda octavia is one of the best choice and value for money, but if we have to decide between skoda superb style manual petrol variant and skoda octavia style plus 1.8 tsi which one will be better choice ?

An appeal to "premium" car manufacturers of India : Guys please give us options of choosing at least some of the features of the car. For example : I DO NOT want auto parking crap, I DO NOT want sun roof, I DO NOT want leather seats... Now I will have to pay a lakh or two extra for features I do not want ???? Rather I DO WANT 19 inch wheels, I DO WANT seat cooling, I DO WANT a superior music system like Canton ,options of interior colours etc etc . @skoda you listening ??

Why oh why didn't they give the more reliable 6speed DSG or a manual 6 speed Gear box with the 1.8 TSI.
I want to buy this beast but the only worry is the old and very unreliable 7 speed DSG 😔
Guys have they cleared all the germ lines of the old 1.8 TSI or is it the same🙄

Internationally the 1.8TSI is not paired with 6-speed dsg, except for the AWD variants. But they could have provided the 6-speed MT, just like they did for the Superb.
didnt the pre facelift car with the 1.4 tsi have 138 bhp? 10 bhp moe now?
I think it had 150hp itself. 2.0 TDI was 140hp

octavia VRS is it a petrol variant ? how it differ than the current 1.8L Petrol...
Internationally, vRS is available in 2.0L diesel and petrol engine with bumped up power.
