- Last December @WilliamBosi joined me in Arco and we teamed up to fight Excalibur ⚔️
With each other's help we both made huge progress on the route, proving once again how crucial teamwork is on these cutting edge projects 🗡️

First ascent just confirmed by Stefano ! 9b+
I'll trade you my ukulele for the brush. It's Danish (so pretty exotic in Arco) and practical for climbers, since it's light and easy to carry to the crag. The sound can also be used to repel unwanted beta sprayers.
That's an interesting one!
I believe we are living the golden age of climbing.
For two reasons:
▶️ the strongest climbers join their forces for the best
▶️ Such amazing immersive videos
And its as big as never before. I mean, climbing at the olympics? 10 years ago noone wouldve thought that
that last attempt.. SO CLOSE.. love the pure silence w just stefano's breathing while resting.
I'll give you a Gargoyle base jump container. My first base jump was in Monte Brento (very close to Excalibur) with this container about ten years ago and it's almost new. Less than 80 jumps. Price new should be above 1.000$. Or a Seven canopy from Asylum, also used in my first jump. You decide. Or if you want I can jump it from Brento for the film and when I land I trade it for the brush
After seeing this i stopped writing my proposal haha, this sounds awesome!
Waah, great!
Freaking lovin' Will's resting position, with the left foot over the right knee!
English rest
@@LilianCvl that's one way to rile a Scotsman
It looks cool but Stefano's position in that rest looks a lot more like how I'd rest there (if I could even hold on there)
@@jrblackify agree, but that is what makes it even cooler to me.
@@manolok96 Apparently Stefano sent this rig a few days ago and gave it 9b+ (5.15c)
The infamous Lazy Secretary rest at 5:54. Legendary.
I love the idea of the trading up to a climbing gym!😍
What a time to be alive to see the best climbers in the world climbing toghether.. the thing with the teamwork remembers me on a day bouldering in frankejura. Was trying easier stuff when Alex Megos and David Firnenburg arrived to try some clsssics, one of them Zerberus. Also i wasn´t able to do one move of that friggin hard stuff we wer able to discuss about other possible betas. Great day.
Very good last attempt Stefano ! two more move and it's done !!!
Good to know that I already short rope at a world class level. Just need to clean up the rest of my climbing and I'll be hanging on 9c with the boys in no time.
Second ascent being completed by Bosi would be really really cool
Dig the Synth Pop soundtrack. Good job 👍
Beast of a route, thanks for showing Wills attempts as well, GL with it dude.
Someone needs to do a timelapse video of Will Bosi's face while he's belaying Stefano. Dude is so focused! Nice to know what 9b+ level belaying looks like. I will aspire.
That last go by Stefano was so impressive. Can't believe he won't eventually put this thing down. Both Will and Stefano seemed to be doing better than Ondra (except for the jump start variation lol)
What did I just see? The production quality is incredible!
Im seeing this the day you posted you did it. huge congrats. incredible!
Very nice little film! I love seeing the process and progress on a tough project! Good filming and good editing and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
It is so cool watching the process you’ve been going through on this route and how you’re sharing it with others.
Alien bloc in da house!!! 🤙🏻🔥🏴💪🏻🧗🏻♂️
My dyslexic ass thought the title was "Huge progress on Excalibur with the bois" 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing talented climbers!
Stefano and Bosi.... difficult to imagine a sweeter duo, up there with Shawn and Brooke on the wholesomeness-scale
Stefano and Adam for me
What a project !
Stefano, this is such a fun idea. I'll offer to add to the chain by trading you a membership with the Tahoe Climbing Coalition. You'll get a t-shirt, a hat, and sweet metal pint glass. So many things to sign!
God damn, Stafano's output has been just so god damn good lately!
Will u r so humble :) Stefano u r magician :)
Wow what a good video and a surprising and great idea for the brush exchange. I don't have any idea of whit what I can exchange the brush but for sure if I got it I'm gonna do some crazy thing to bring my participation in the project.
I can't wait to see Stefano sending the route.
Hi Stefano! Will you post a video in the future of the first ascent of Excalibur or you didn't record it? Gracie mile!!
Insanely nice video! Keep the good work up!
So much precision from both of these guys
Love the progress and I am offering a brand new Garmin Vivoactive 4 Smartwatch for the brush!!
Valuable offer, we wait few days and will decide! Thanks!
@steghiso awesome, thanks so much and good luck on your projects 👊
@@steghiso just curious if you chose a winner? I'm keeping my fingers crossed haha thanks
What a brilliant way to build a gym. It’s possible. Here in the USA we have TV shows where they do pretty much the same. Good luck!
Very interesting idea for the gym! I don't have anything valuable to trade for the brush but I'd love to help. I have some non profit knowledge (I do legal counseling in the sector), also of the area of Arco and I think it could be an interesting starting point. Let me know!
I offer two climbing brushes and a tooth brush. As a next step, sign and use these three brushes and trade them again. Triple the value 😅
He he freakin ingenious :)
After careful inspection of this route and the moves, I belive I can provide some insight: Its really hard.
I could trade a handmade leather chalkbag for that brush! Loving the quality man keep it up!
hell yeah, i love this tryhard climbing videos
Wait there's actually a sword in the rock next to the route? I was wondering about the name... fitting.
Keep us up to date on the trading towards a climbing gym! Awesome concept! 👍 👏
Ste per lo spazzolino io e un mio amico ti offriamo un cajon e un bel pacco di prese assortite per allenarsi al ritmo di samba e sentire dentro il calore delle estati brasiliane anche durante i più gelidi inverni💃💃
Last try was good !
U're getting close
very inspirering to see you guys crush some moves on this crazy route!
Would like to see Shawn Raboutou on this. It's its style.
Btw what is not his style(besides being tall)? Like everything seems to be his style :D
@@mihkelhint I'm not sure he does a lot of route climbing ? So I would guess anything very enduro-based should be hard for him.
He’ll get very pumped 😂
@@miguelgazquez5717 He could try Burro, the upper part dyno start. It's this section where Adam seemed to have the most problems. Also it's quite short, arguably shorter than some of the boulders Shawn sent.
@@flusck I was answering "everything seems to be his style". I agree that a route this short is probably more his style than most other routes (only thing easier would be probably be a route with a boulder problem at the start then easy climbing ?).
What kind of shenanigans are those at 0:49, I thought Will doesn’t warm up?!?
Ohhhh shhhhhhhhhht!!! It's gonna go baby! Gotta be at least 9b+
would be fun to see some boulder-specific guys on this one too!
Stefano has got it almost in the bag. Hopefully very soon
He has done it
Sick video🙌🏻🙌🏻💪🏻💪🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Una Vera palestra d' arrampicata ad Arco sarebbe il top davvero
Fantastic progress and a great collaboration!
8:16, 8:42 So who is Will Bosi, and why haven´t I heard about him before?? Damn, he´s killing it!
Strong, yet fluid climbing. Very well-composed posturing.
he is a brittish (former?) comp climber that has been SMASHING in 2022-23. he did the 3rd ascent of Alphane after Shawn & Aidan Roberts. dude is as legit as they come. in both bouldering and sport.
4 SPONSORS DAMN
Wow ok, professionala short rope as well sometimes 😱
You know it’s hard when Adam Ondra throws in the towel…
Grizzly Beard Will is my favourite version of Will !
Congrat💪🏾
Grandi, grandi, grandi! Sembra come se Stefano fosse vicino ormai. Ma come fai a riposare con 3 dita su una parete inclinata a -45° gradi? Ci sono stato di persona a guardarla - mazza che progetto!!! Per rispetto non ho nemmeno toccato le prime prese (solo le ultime ;)
I’m starting to think this route might be pretty hard
5.9+ in North Carolina.
Sooo good
Getting very close!
Getting close!
I can't believe those rests at 6:00. Three fingers!?
Never mind that xD wtf is 8:57 my fingers are screaming
Maybe deliberately going for open grip for a more relaxed arm?
@@somanayr yes. A three finger drag is much better for resting than a half crimp or full crimp. It’s less taxing on your fingers and forearms.
Will Bosi is so freaking fit right now. Might be the strongest climber in the world at the moment
I was shocked at how chill he looked on some of those moves, especially after the Ondra vid
Aiden Roberts perhaps!?
I got a good trade...How about a pair of gold quikdraws from sportslab jewels???
Could be a perfect next step😎😎😎
nothing is more enjoyable than watching some pros trying to climb an (almost) completely blank overhaning wall!
Like the hardest moon board problems but for 20 metres!
Request: could you do side angle shots next time to show its steepness while they're climbing? Like in the last Alphane video by Emil.
I feel like this climb is going to be for Stefano
Close!!!!
Any chance there's gonna be a full video? of the send?
Only a matter of time now
🧔♂️ for glory!
Great video
great vid
I have an Inov-8 Stormshell rain jacket that I've only used twice that I would be willing to trade for the brush 🤙
❤
I will trade will brush with some homemade woodholds (by myself) for the climbing gym😉
ciao stef, have you made any successfull attempts on Burro since?
The jump of Burro is very far, feels too far for me!
@@steghiso bah, some parkour lessons and you'll get it 😉👍🏻
2 questions guys:
1)Stefano, why solution comps and not regular solutions which would be stiffer? Heel hooks?
2)Will, it's February already, where are you?
I have a BD crashpad I would trade for the brush but you have to come to Canada to pick it up (I promise we have some cool climbing here)
I got a brand new pair of climbing shoes from la sportiva for you! Climbed on them once but they're not the right fit
What glasses does will bosi have? They look really really cool
My fingers hurt just watching
I have a Patagonia shirt that I could trade for the brush. But I dont really want to trade the shirt because some south european pro climber signed it. His name was Esteban Ghistavo or something idk
Manzo pegue
How about trading the brush for another piece of art of mine? 60 x 100 cm canvas done in the mountains. Hope it might at least be a great decoration of the gym
lets get you a permanent marker first. lol great vid!!
I will trade my whole life savings for the brush!
When your 25K in student debt and trying to figure a way out.. I like your style
But the video of the ascent?
Anyone know what the music is? Thanks
I also really want to know, heard it in at least three different videos by now, and noone ever wrote or credited the song
Humbot by Wave Saver and 121211 by Enigmatic
@@max_kl thank you!
@@sipanek You have Shazam to thank :)
@@max_kl Many thanks :)
How did I not know Will Bosi before
Why dont you post your send of Excalibur on your side ??
Is there a send video out there?
I will trade a big climbing hold from my home gym!
@stefanoghisolfi, do you have the FA video?
Stefano, my proposal:
Me (and my @laspalmerasclimbing friends) offer to contribute to the chain with two round fiberglass volumes (old) of about 60 cm in diameter.
Great challenge, cheers! 😁
Thanks for the offer, we wait few days to have more offers and then we will choose the best one!
@@steghiso Are you going to use some specific digital place where you keep us updated and take on offers? If it's just going to be in comments of youtube video's than maybe you need to also update in the video what has happened etc. So the Stoke stays high enough.
Honest question: why does nobody wear a helmet? Not the climber, not the belayer?
There are two reasons to wear a helmet when climbing: First there is rockfall wich doesnt really happen on small limestone crags like this after they have been cleaned. Also because it is so overhanging rockfall from the top will not land where you stand and that is where rocks usually fall from because the cliff is more eroded at the top. The second reason to wear a helmet as the leadclimber is that incase your leg is caught in the rope during a fall (wich can happen to the best also btw) you could smack your head against the wall. On an overhanging wall like this that is already way less dangerous and in addition it seems the bolts are not that far apart so you will not have the same forces as you do with a giant whipper.
Don't get me wrong, a lot of people climb without a helmet where they really shouldn't, but here there seems to be really no reason to be concerned
That last go is close...
did it!
