@ReijiThePhantom The first time I saw "Adventures In Babysitting" it was at my after school daycare, and I definitely remember catching it on the Disney Channel a few times. Strangely, a few years ago I was flipping channels in the middle of the night and "Benji The Hunted" was inexplicably playing on one of the local channels here. I wanted to high-five the program director that put that on.
Whoa! Surprise ending on that Chiquita commercial. What would have made this collection even better is if Vincent Price had also done the Serenity commercial.
I only just watched Benji the Hunted for the first time last week (I wasn't much of a dog person when I was a kid). Despite some tragic moments, I found it to be a very good movie. Who says you need dialog to tell a story?
I've been meaning to check it out again on Disney+. As I mentioned in the description of this, the Siskel and Ebert review of it is classic...and proves what a weirdo Gene Siskel was at times: ua-cam.com/video/ZrrNpfGFSQw/v-deo.html
Here we have @ 4:12 Larry "Bud" Melman as a pitchman for Dewey Stevens wine coolers I was a kid at the time but I don't remember him getting BIG enough to get a nat'l commercial but I do remember him as a frequent guest on Late Night with David Letterman in the 80's and the 90's on the Late Show on CBS.
ABC in the 80s -- Ernie Anderson made ANYTHING they put out sound good. I miss network voice over announcers -- NEXT (as seen in the AMC credits) I loved those Vincent Price TILEX ads.
LOTS of cleaning ads for the stay-at-home mom watching their "stories" in the middle of the day iced fruit bars must've been all the rage back then I think "Dewey Stevens" might be the dorkiest name for a drink ever I'm sure every woman wants to be out in public in her bra i.e. the Playtex commercial.

WoW! I grew up in DC and I love to see the local news promos from my hometown! Even when I go back to visit my parents I love it...I am a total nerd.
I wish there was a love button. Benji: the Hunted looked so cute.
Thanks so much for the AMC closing credits! A rare treat.
That's soap legend Maeve Maguire doing the Caltrate ad.
I never would've guessed O.B. was a tampon.
@GodsBurden The next four volumes.
The 409 ad uses 'standard laboratory grease' on their demo.. I wonder who's in charge of what exactly that's composed of...

I set myself up for that one.

This truly is a great set!! I've been wondering when you were going to post that SOS commercial.

Look how young Avery Brooks is!
TV Spot for "Adventures In Babysitting" (This is a classic 80's movie and Elisabeth Shue is mega hawt in it)
I TOTALLY AGREE!
Is that Aretha Franklin or Black Box singing in that Cheerios commercial?
If Marcia Brady's husband says 409 is effective, that's good enough for me!
@ReijiThePhantom THOR! I saw it once or twice here in Sweden too. And yes I had a thing for miss shue too.
I use to think OB was gum for only women..

Sweet deal, I grew up in dc, any more dc centric stuff coming?
