Newborns, Harness Pads, and Chest Clips, Oh My!

Are you making this mistake with your baby’s car seat? For younger, smaller babies especially, make sure the harness pads are on top of the shoulders and not preventing the chest clip from sitting at armpit level!
Remember: only use pads that came with your car seat, not aftermarket pads that have not been crash tested with it! Always read and follow your car seat manual’s instructions for pad use, chest clip position, and harness tightness.
