this video will teach you how to create maps of a body of water with the deeper pro plus and deeper chirp and interpret these maps correctly. at the end of the video we will show you some live underwater recordings how to find fish and hot spots.
this video is an extract of the world's first deeper sonar online course finding fish in hot spots with the gps and map feature.
creating maps with the deeper the map feature is a really useful tool to find fish.
this is a screenshot of the deeper app. here we have the fish finder recording. on the left side we can display the map. if you cast the deeper pro plus or deeper chirp in onshore gps mode. it will of course send the depth information of the water and process it the depth data is stored in the cloud.
and then assigned to a location by means of a gps function as a result this function gives a very nice impression of the bottom.
here we have an example map of one of our spots at river elba in germany. various depths are shown in different colors I the deeper sonar app. on the right side we have a scale starting with orange for the shallowest spots.
there is a small difference with the deeper pro. it is one of the first deeper models and has no built-in gps.
your deeper pro can only be used to create maps on the boat by attaching the deeper to the boat and placing the mobile phone nearby.
this way the gps data from the mobile phone is included while the depth data is recorded.
the deeper pro plus and deeper chirp plus both have an integrated gps module. when used this gps module connects to satellites. and when these deeper models are cast a map with the correct depth data is created at the deeper's position.
this allows you to find great hot spots from land and generate amazing bathymetric maps.

So you can troll with it and make a map?
Well, you can't compare it to trolling with a stationary fish finder. These mobile fish finders can be used well in the belly or kayak, where there is little space. But yes, you can create a map.
@@the-fishfinders1967 do you need that bracket to troll or can I just use some line(going slow electric trolling,remote lake)
@@foghole9449 Yes, you need the attachment. On the line, the Deeper wobbles back and forth, so the depth reading is not correct. The sonar must always point straight down.
