Perfection & mastery are not achieved by 9 to 5, collect a paycheck & turn off the switch at the end of the night/week. You, sir, are the epitome of hard work and dedication. It’s a 24/7 world & those who want it, go after it & achieve. Congratulations on all you have and continue to accomplish. I look forward to future videos. Enjoy the 4th of July holiday! Stay safe!
"If you're willing to things that other people won't do, you're going to be able to get things that other people don't have." Those are the same wise words that have gotten me to where I am today. To add to that I say get up and live your dreams. Nice new space.
The guy I learned from told me 40 years ago , I was 16 high school drop out stay with it and you can make money. I did. And he was right . Never hurt for money . Now it's just a job . Cars aren't my thing anymore . I look at them like cattle get them in get them out. But I do well .I know techs that make 250 grand a year I live in Texas
Glad to see you can enjoy the fruits of labor, we'll earned and much luck with the program you run lets see more of the shop life and the faces behind the screen
I learned the trade in Texas starting in the late 80’s. I wish someone would have taught me to take better care of myself as far as osha stuff is concerned. I love having the knowledge I have, there was tons of opportunity to learn cool stuff and I’ve done stuff that is super cool. Thanks to working for a boss that did not care for his equipment, I ended up having a truck fall on me when the lift had a free fall collapse. I have a lot of surgeries and had to learn how to walk again. Needless to say, I’m out of the business for good and have been for 20 years now. I love watching your channel and seeing how much has changed. I get worried that not enough young people are getting into this, but I would tell them it can be worth it if they take care of their safety in the shop. The last year I worked in this field, I cleared 6 figures for the first time in my life. That was 20 years ago. Lear all the auto body techniques, but also electrical systems, welding and moulding. With those skills, you will always have a solid job. Aside from that, maybe have an exit strategy from this business, well before retirement age. Find other fields you can go into that are less stress for your body where these skills will still have a use.
Very worth it I’m only a year and 2 months in and I gotta say I absolutely love it. I’m so glad I found something I love doing. Everyday I’m trying to get better. Congrats man you inspire all of us 💪🫡
Awesome new garage. I set a goal for me to build out my new 2 bay garage the next two months in my new house in Sarasota with compressor, lines, and a paint booth. Plan on starting some youtube videos to restore a few older volvos. You are inspiring me to follow in your foot steps!! I have made a commitment to become an awesome refinishing expert over time. It would be great some day to have the opportunity to meet you! 👍
This is my favorite realistic motivational video on the entire youtube. It gives me hope to push forward and work hard in life for the better things to come.💯🔥
Fantastic garage you have there Kandy Man I love the way you can store 2 cars in there making good use of the available space, if you can't go out sideways there is always upwards, very well thought out you must be very pleased with the results👌🙏👍John UK
150% everyday does pay off. I’ve learned a lot from you and the channel and the passion grows for me everyday. Striving to be better. Get better. Someday soon I’ll get to where I want to be painting cars.
There is no doubt miles of prep work if to even begin to get to the point of mirror gloss perfection, and being virtuoso with getting the paint properly installed. You got it properly sorted captain. Rock on.
That's a lovely garage and a fantastic achievement, i really love your work ethic and your a great inspiration to people, i share your passion for painting cars and love the work you do Congratulations on your garage build, Your channel was one of the channels the inspired me to start a channel At the beginning of the video i thought it was going to be a spray booth going in there 😂 God bless you and your family 🙏
Hey Kandy man how are you doing we haven’t seen any new videos from you i have been waiting for the new video on the 100 line I hope you got some coming out soon!!!!! Hope all is well love the new garage they did a great job on it
Congrats Kandy Man. You’re an asset wherever you work. Well deserved for sure. I love the tall ceilings. They gotta be 12’ or more. You got some sweet rides dude. Curious what you think of the new paint line you’re spraying? Enjoy your 4th with family and friends.
I totally agree with your creed but even being efficient as possible, it's getting harder to make what we could years back with the industry tightening the belt, mainly insurance companies. Ive been in 33 years and i cant complain too much. Though there are times when i know i should have made more but got stiffed due to certain circumstances. My learned skills enabled my wife and I to literally build our own house in two years mortgage free and a new shop a few years ago. So i wouldn't turn away anyone interested in the trade. Id actually like to donate some time to offer classes especially to younger people to get them interested. Looks like you dropped a pretty penny on that addition. Good for you! Because i can honestly say from experience that youve earned it through hard work and honing your skill set. Enjoy the new man cave.
That garage is nice man and yes paint and body is definitely a great career when you stay focused and hungry. If you think about it as kids we wanted to fix cars but now we get paid to do it
Good morning kandy man I'm watching your video while on vacation in the dominican republic love the new garage makes me want to do the same in my house
I have been doing this job for about 10 years and i still love seeing the end result it might not be the best paying trade but i rather do something i love for a living and earn a bit less then do something i don't like and earn more , i started a bit later after i finished high school i did not know what i wanted to do with my life , i tryed joining the military but washed out because of an injury, then this job came along and i fell in love with it ever since
Stuff like these motivates me , starting a autobody technician apprenticeship full time next week , and I can’t wait to keep learning this trade and work on cars , any tips that you would like to give me starting this new journey.
Be on time. Do your best . Ask questions .no question is a dumb question.be patient, and in time, you will become better and better. Just don't give up, and you will do great 💪💪congratulations
Congratulations! Beautiful space! You earned it! How is the BASF 100 line going? I currently spray Standox but I think we are going to get a demo in to try in a couple months 👍🏻
Don't sell yourself short by mentioning "better trades" (14:50). Painting is a skilled trade. People that put in the effort will always achieve more. Kandy Man you have demonstrated this! Congratulations on a beautiful new garage. You earned it!
This might result in self healing paints soon, or maybe even a e-ink screen building process rather than singular colors, and possibly this too could happen with metallics. And, it will charge your vehicle. The arts and sciences and the landscape of the canvas.
