@3:05 is the Dutch version of Uncanny X-men and printed by Junior Press. I got it from the shelves back in the days. It has 32 pages and no ads in it, like all other comics in the Netherlands. This series started at US issue 122 (the Arcade pinball cover). The earlier X-mannen series were black & white and printed by Hip Comics which i don't have. Before the euro our currency was listed as Fl (florijn) but we paid with guldens (guilders)....
Love the Muppet pick up Mike. Those odd ball series from the 80s, like the Star Comics or the movie adaptions, are great. My favorite, being an X-Men guy, is the Amazing Adventures #11 the 1st furry Beast. I got that book a bit ago too and have been hunting the rest down, I actually just finished finding the rest of The Beast story line yesterday at my LCS. Great snags!
I collect Muppets Comics as well I have that set and im working on the marvel run of the Muppet Babies right now. As always awesome grabs and content. Happy Hunting!
I love foreign releases! I've got several British Silver age Avengers releases, a Portuguese 1st Hobgoblin, and an amazing French 1st Dazzler book with awesome cover art!
Loved Muppets Take Manhattan as a kid, re-watched it so many times. That Gumby special is a must own for Art Adams' fans, though better to spend less than $10 for it.
Good evening Michael Eclectic is the word that best describes you, great choices among a very big stack of tasty items. My favourite of your selection has to be the Muppets, back in the day the best show on Television, Beeker, the Swedish Chef, Animal, the Grumpy old men...can't be beaten. And it was prime time viewing! Image the grumpy old men doing a comic channel!! Keep up the great work and remember BEAT DRUM!!! Cheers Al The Goldkeyfourcolorkidownunda
Great haul of comics!! I love that Beast comic. That’s on my bucket list also, I’m trying to get all of that series of comics. Keep up the great work. 😎
Man wish I would have known about this place if it was around two years ago. I'd have to drive to Meriden from RI every Wednesday for about 3 years straight for work...lol Awesome place!
Surprised to to see the Mexican Gwen/ Peter Wedding issue. Surprised to see it at (only?) $100. I'd heard it was scarce as H*ll!! Still love to read it one day!! Heard that Gwen was so popular that they didn't dare kill her off, so they published that w/o Marvels knowledge or Okay...
Seriously, the best comic shops are back east. Every LCS around me, here in So. Cal primarily just has back issues from 1985 - 2023. And those from the 80’s are extremely limited as it is.
I enjoyed the explanation about Beast in Anazing Adventures, as well as the explanation of the history of X-men in reprints at the time. Thanks for sharing. I love the muppets and Big Hero Six pick-ups. I'm a big fan of both. Looked like a great comic day!
Mike, I would have picked up that Dutch edition of X-Men too, foreign editions of US comics are a fascinating area of the hobby. I have a German edition of DC's "The Warlord" #5 but it's 1/3 bigger than the US comic and on glossy paper so Mike Grell's art looks spectacular. And I can't believe you skipped by NOW Comics' "Married With Children", it's one of the great sitcoms of its decade. The Perez/Wein run on "Wonder Woman" is excellent, and with both creators now gone it's taken on an even more significant place in my collection.
a few years back i found a copy of that furry beast for $20 at a local con, but was strapped for cash and had to walk away. This brings back sad memories :(
Thank you for dropping the comic book lore while sharing your recent books! Since the movie, Big Hero 6 is on my hunt list. Wasn't there an early Alpha Flight appearance too? Anyway, nice additions to your PC :)
Re: Beast's fur: the same happened with the X-Men's outfits, more or less. The original outfits were black and gold, with blue for highlighting, eventually becoming blue and gold (even naming the teams as such).
I loved the original X-Men as a kid/teen. The Beast and Cyclops/Scott Summers were my favorite original members. I guess because as a skinny punny kid. I was super shy like the Scott character. And a few years later. I was still a small kid for my age. But at age almost 16 the summer of 77. My feet had gotten pretty big. But late that summer I grew like 4-6 inches taller. That was very painful, I fell out of car once. While getting out because I was in such pain. I remember saying I hope if I ever have kids one day. They won't have to experience that pain. And will grow slower but more regularly then I did all at once.
I was a little bummed when I saw that beast was slowly turning into a villain, and now they're just going the cloning route to give us back the beast we all know and love.
Mike, some great grabs!! I'd always been a Beast (bluish fur or not) Haven't read X-Men in awhile.. when did he into a villian? I hate when they arbitrarially change character...
I bought a similar comic like the Muppets: Alf. That show from the 80's. Never bought it in the 80's because I was below 7 years old but I just bought it online last week.
Love how your doing some of your hunts based off of the marvel universe cards. I'm waiting for you to show us a guardians of the Galaxy first appearance based off of series 1 cards . Side note I only knew about guardians of the Galaxy as a kid only because I was collecting marvel universe cards back in the day lol
Florin and Guilder are easy to confuse. You might be thinking of this classic 'Princess Bride' quote from Prince Humperdink of Florin: “Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work, but I’ve got my country’s 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I’m swamped.”
Random FYI… I know you don’t really dabble with new stuff but since you’re a nightcrawler fan you should check out his cover on the new x-men run issue 30 that came out this month.
@@lunchmoneycomics ok so are you gonna get another Tmnt#1? I am currently saving up to get my grail books TMNT#1 and X-Men#1 1963 but if I find a good deal on a key I will grab it but after 15 years of collecting and 5 short boxes of keys it's hard to find books I want now cause Amazing Fantasy#15 and Batman#1 1940 is so far out of my reach.

Walt Simonson is Gold. His Thor run still the best Thor Stories ever told
Preach brother!!!!
I’m excited because I found out he’s coming back to Terrificon, so I’ll have some more goodies for him to sign.
It is amazing the amount of Silver Age spiderman they had up on those walls. That shop could be dangerous for the wallet lol
Love the info about Beast!

Great books! Your wife is not alone as I'm a huge Muppet fan! I actually have a tattoo sleeve of Muppets. Great video, as usual!
I collect Muppets Comics as well I have that set and im working on the marvel run of the Muppet Babies right now. As always awesome grabs and content. Happy Hunting!

That is really a neat place! A little of everything! I love the selection of Silver Age comics. I definitely could spend the whole day there!
This comic shop is great… the go to in my area. I always find great stuff
omg this is the mother load. going there soon. ty mike! -Neil
the beast one and the ff, was the coolest!
Loved Muppets Take Manhattan as a kid, re-watched it so many times.
That Gumby special is a must own for Art Adams' fans, though better to spend less than $10 for it.
Right that’s ultimately why I didn’t get it, in retrospect I probably could’ve negotiated that price
The 181 incredible Hulk and the others from seven months ago that is cool that you told him what it is.😮❤
Great pick-ups! I've been looking for AA 11 for a little bit. It's quickly escalating out of my price range. LOL
Good evening Michael

I had no idea there was a comic adaptation of Muppets Take Manhattan! Big fan of them too, gotta search those out
I thought Big Hero 6's first appearance was in an issue of Alpha Flight. Interesting. I always learn something on your channel 👍
I go to James’ warehouse whenever I get a chance. Great guy and great prices 👍🏻😃

Those Wonder Woman done by Perez are one of the reasons (Byrne's Superman stuff is the 2nd) why I read Dc when I was younger.

Bargains is my kind of shopping!❤
Cool haul bro 😎
That Beast comic is on my list. Nice grab. I'm hoping to hit up some of these stores when i go to the con in August!!
Good grab, just picked up big hero six number 1 a week ago myself!

Good show. Happy wife happy life... I would have got the wedding of Miss Piggy and Kermit cover just for its cool novelty.

A furry beast! - have one of those at home too, but mines 80lbs and loves to get into trash.
Great shop and owner, was down there a few weeks ago and picked up a decent amount of books!
1:40 THE comic I want to own one day. My favourite female character and issue 1 was released the month before I was born :)
The beast story is so interesting!!

Very awesome pickups! It’s crazy because I almost went to that sale and I’m wishing I did.
That Amazing Adventures 11 is very cool.
I did not know that about Gwen Stacy in other countries. Neat!
I bought a similar comic like the Muppets: Alf. That show from the 80's. Never bought it in the 80's because I was below 7 years old but I just bought it online last week.
I remember the Gumby special that got traded around by Bigby and other friends like a bunch of times or at least it felt like it.
I always hit this spot when I visit from Georgia✌🏾
Love the gold ff cover
2024 so far it's a GREAT YEAR for LMC
Nice pick up the only book that I question is that reprint of the fantastic four.
So jealous! Wish I had ONE shop around me like that.
You do. It’s called eBay!!
I like this, hunt without background music is definitely better
Thanks, I only use music if there is licensed music playing in the background, I was in the clear on this one
Mmmmmmhhhhhhmmmmm that's some good lunch money

U need to get those Muppets graded lol
I see you found my Transformers 25th anniversary book. 😊
I’m mad I didn’t buy it!
So far so good on you're pick ups
We had a brief conversation there. I did pick-up the X-men 133
We did, great pickup!
Hi Mike,
before the Euro the Netherlands had “Gulden“.
I believe it’s a guilder and it’s the same thing as a florin, no?
Florin and Guilder are easy to confuse.
You might be thinking of this classic 'Princess Bride' quote from Prince Humperdink of Florin:
“Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work, but I’ve got my country’s 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I’m swamped.”
Hulk has been Grey several times, for years actually. Just saying.
Just read my copy of amazing adventures last night. He wasn't very smart to take those chemicals 😅
Hahaha no he was not lol
I fell asleep watching this yesterday because when you uploaded it it was already 3am here in the Philippines but I continued watching it today!
Random FYI… I know you don’t really dabble with new stuff but since you’re a nightcrawler fan you should check out his cover on the new x-men run issue 30 that came out this month.
they did something similar with venom too didnt they? like was is a black charachter but had to add the blue in comic to shhow contrast
So JEALOUS OF BIG HERO 6 I never saw the movie
Anyone know what kind of shelving that he uses to display his comics on the wall? Want to do something like that
I thought you traded your TMNT#1? When did you get another copy?
Ah yes, this was recorded BEFORE that trade, had to shuffle around some videos to promote my friend’s Whatnot sale. Good eyes!

Didn’t you pick up that Gumby book too?
I didn’t, kinda regret it
Prices are way too high. Who’s paying those prices ?
Did you catch that they were half off?
@@lunchmoneycomics didn’t catch that. Makes more sense!
I can’t believe I didn’t know that beast was black and became blue because of printing. Great rid bit
The best intro on UA-cam Ching-ching- bonk!
Haha thanks!
