That swing right there...this exact swing that turned pebble Beach into a local muni from the red tees...is the greatest golf swing ever known to man...
Bro I’ve been thinking about this- pretty much all the greats “flipped” the club. They just do it on an angle- not straight under. That’s the release. It’s helped my swing a bunch
Can you do an in depth analysis video of this tiger 2000 swing starting from setup address posture to grip to take away etc etc basically cover every little detail about it ?
I find it interesting that Tiger’s hips do all their turning until his left arm is parallel to the ground on his backswing, after that they don’t turn anymore.
Had he not changed his 2000 swing he would have passed Jack years ago and probably would have 10-15 more wins. I still have no idea why he changed it. Sometimes in the pursuit to continue getting better you ruin what already was perfect.
From what I’ve read, he decided to change shortly after having knee surgery for the 1st (but definitely not last!) time in 2002. Wanted to change to put less weight on the knee
He changed it because when you win so much you just have that in your mind oh I’ll always win. He slipped up pbp! He stopped working hard it’s that simple…then and now! You can’t cheat golf and you sure can’t cheat on your wife and think ANY blessing will come your way
If he didn't train his body as hard and injure himself doing other things, he would easily have passed Jack. Tiger at 90% was still miles better than anyone else. Barely won a major in golfs normal prime years in your 30's
@Spin & Throw Disc Golf check his driving stats, he was way more offline, he didn't hit peak tiger till 2000ish...when he went with this swing...1997 was a lot of timing, he dropped a 40 at Augusta cause he couldn't control it...he's tiger woods so he found it on the back 9 and then humiliated everyone but if his timing was off he was all over the place...remember he didn't win another major till 1999 when he changed his swing and then completely dominated everyone like a video game character for years...a 2 year stretch with no majors in a young, fit, and healthy tiger woods is a long long time, once swing was changed that's when he became super human
@@MarkSmithhhh No, Jack's still the greatest, sorry. 18 majors vs 15 Jack's dream was to beat Hogan's major record, he smashed it. Jack was Tiger's idol and Tiger's dream was to beat Jack's major record, he didn't do it. Not only was Jack a better golfer, he was also a better human being, when Tiger's wife was giving birth, he was in the bed of some slapper. Jack kept his marriage vows and raised a great family.
@@hunkyhaggis2161Jack won at a time when there was far less competition than during Tiger's era. The fact that Tiger still managed to come so close is astounding to say the least.

Mike Austin is better
Underrated amount of right hand throw. He zips his right hand hard at the bottom and the intent starts from the top of the backswing.

@pookievanderbilt6889 Jack said as long as you get to the left side, you can release the club as early as you want.
In that era for Tiger he hit it as good as anyone ever has.

I can, I actually did a video like that already on my channel a while ago, recommend checking out that one first
Club face, left hand, left arm. All on line for every shot.

Some good ones in the mike

The first video of the driver resembles Lee Trevinos swing the beginning, i mean.
I liked his swing more around 2005-2008.

And the sad thing is he did not initially hurt his knee swinging a golf club.

1997 swing was better
He was more wild off tje tee back then but certainly less likely to get hurt
@@MarkSmithhhh wild? Did you see the 1997 Masters? That was back when he could actually drive the ball very well

pitty it’s not full speed - shite in slow mo.!
Best golfer of all time but not the swing. That recognition belongs to Snead, Wright and Hogan.
Jack Nicklaus was the greatest.
He sure "was"...till tiger
