I really enjoyed this video! Happy to see Jess sharing the love...big welcome to Eliza. I've just learned to get around via the bus system and I'm SO glad to have this inexpensive and reliable way to get from one London area to another.
I am so grateful to see you getting around. I wish I could have got suggested from you when I was in London. Being disabled it was very challenging. I felt so out of place, because I didn’t have any guidance for some one with mobility challenges. Do you have a guide for those of us who have walking challenges?
Hello! We have some articles on our site: loveandlondon.com and we also have plenty of accessible options, clearly marked, in all of our guides, especially our itineraries: shop.loveandlondon.com
As a mobility impaired person myself, so welcome to see your perspective! My favorite area is South Kensington. You get 3 museums right next door to each other, Natural History, Science and the V&A, and all 3 are easily accessible. Plus it's just a short jaunt to Harrods in one direction, and Kensington Gardens in another. Cheers!
Thank you for this video , even i , as a Londoner learnt something new ( the buses bit ) . Though one suggestion the click or police museum could replace the very commercial London Dungeons
This was awesome, I am mainlining these videos, I am a London native but have not a spec of English culture in me as I was raised elsewhere. When circumstances allow, I will review these notes and plan my trip. PS I did enjoy Harrods greatly last time I was there, many years ago.....anyway, great info for us "tourists"!!
Went to the one in San Frans and loved it. Heading to the London Dungeon in a few weeks from Australia and the Wax Museum. So much hate on this channel lol. We all have different taste and as a tourist, I what to be a tourist not a Londoner lol
Your video was helpful, where i am staying this trip(4 days from now) I will be using the 91, 159 buses on different days, it is my 2nd trip to London and I know I will be walking around considering I did it last April
I agree on Harrod’s being a bit much. It was something I wanted to explore, mainly the food halls which disappointed and were very pricy. Had a better experience just picking up items from the local Sainsbury. Hoping to visit again in the near future.
As a fellow wheelchair user, it’s fantastic to see you giving travel advice in London. I always use black cabs in London, as they are so helpful with my chair and get you from A to B so easily. Yes they can be expensive, but you get what you pay for.
I liked the hop-on hop-off bus as a means to orient myself to the city, and to check off the things I “needed” see on my first visit. But I also didn’t pay full price. I will say that the recorded audio tour that came with it was pretty lackluster. It’s silent for most of the ride and I already knew most of the fun facts they shared.
Whenever I flew to London from Western Canada it’s usually an 8 hour flight and 7 hour time difference after we checked into the Hotel we would take the hop on and hop off bus, mainly to keep us awake! Nowadays, I fly into London and the directly to Scotland and fly back to London about 4 days before I fly home and see some shows and do some shopping.
Nice job Eliza! Of all the overrated attractions on your list we only did the London Eye, because there's something super compelling about it, especially for the kids. I mean, who doesn't like riding a giant Ferris wheel with good views over London, right? :) Well, many people apparently do. That said, I already went twice, but I confess that if it were not for the kids I'd probably wouldn't have gone twice. At the end of the day it may be too expensive for what you get out of it, so I totally understand your assessment of it being overrated.
Thanks for your amazing job showing us how to enjoy London at a cheap day out just take a whole week and travel on buses to get to. The sights of London to see always Jess is very proud of your brilliant job on the utube channel giving her a well earn break keep up.the work always a big fan always 👍😇👌🎃🖖🌍🏆
i love the buses! so much better than the tube because i'm morally opposed to stairs. and while i love the uber boats, i don't appreciate the cost 😬 i'm proud to say i avoided all the overrated stuff except for leicester square because i really wanted to see the status and, well, i was staying a block from there.
An additional bit on The Globe, if you want to watch one of the plays & the weather is good it will only cost £5. You'll have to stand, but it is one of the cheapest theatre experiences out there!!
Hi Eliza, what a great presentation of London. ❤ Been to London three times already and love the vibe, energy, history, architechure and the list goes on. Can't wait to visit again😊 A fan from Singapore ❤❤
Aww wish you done this a couple weeks ago! As I visited London with my daughter to get her visa and we spent a day as “tourists” looking around. I haven’t been to London for over 20 years and luckily we didn’t get lost! 😂
Great video, Eliza! We made our first trip to London this past September. The Tower Bridge Museum is definitely worthwhile! we also enjoyed the Imperial War Museum and Churchill's War Rooms. However, I must confess...we rode the London Eye. It just seemed like one of those "touristy" things we had to do once. We went early in the morning, so the lines were short.
100% on Uber Boat! It was worth the money! I highly recommend it. Very convenient and it takes you to almost all major attractions! Don't miss the Battersea Power Station! Uber Boat will take you there! We basically hop on the boat and just did a roundtrip without getting off then decided where to hop off later. It's really fun!
Hello new friend. Firstly…. Your hair ❤❤❤❤ and secondly I love how informative you are about London. I’m from up north and often come to London every so often. I love catching the bus more than the tube as well as visiting my favourite spots like Spitalfields market and bourgh market
If you love Harry Potter and have a day to dedicate to it, it's great, but tickets book very fast and early. I would recommend using this tour: gyg.me/tOAx2Iis
The bus route tips are super helpful and amazing. While some of the places recommended here are beyond doubt interesting, SOME (not all) of the overrated ones are still something that tourists (especially the first timers) should visit. I mean, they would not want to go back to their home country and people go "What? You purposely didn't visit (..)." Nonetheless , thanks for this video. I have visited London a number of times during my bachelorhood. Plan to bring family there soon.
Great video Eliza…. Great personality! Having been a Londoner for 18 years and now a regular visitor for nearly 40 years (yikes!) completely agree with the suggestions virtually all of which I have tried out and recommend. My one tip; the river buses are great but can get busy but go in the evening (when it is quieter) and sit/stand on the back open deck and you get a fantastic close up floodlit cruise along the Thames for an a stupidly low price
Couldn't disagree more. Th London eye is a fantastic experience which gives yiu the chance to have a beautiful view of the city and take some eye catching pictures. The dungeon was really good giving you really interesting information regarding London's history in a humorous and scary way. The combination was awesome. Madame Tussades museum was one life time experience for me. Don't really get why are these places considered basic or not worth paying/waiting. Besides you can always buy a combined ticket for these attractions at reallt good prices. ❤ .
There have definitely been other Love and London videos that talked about the Transport Museum in a positive way. I think one about souvenirs talked in particular about how the museum's gift shop has a bunch of cool and pretty different London themed merch, but it also spoke well of the museum itself. :)
Wow as a Londoner I feel so judged for loving the things that aren't recommended. And yes 'for some reason' I like the big screens at Piccadilly circus.
I have to disagree slightly on the Hop-on/Hop-off busses. I've found that when people visit, it's a pretty good "first-day" activity. They're tired, so they don't want to do a lot of walking/standing in queues, it helps give them a "lay of the land," and it gives them ideas of things they might want to do later in the trip. The price sucks, but it's not all bad.
Being a disabled person, having another disabled person give travel advice is very meaningful.
We're glad to hear it, and glad to have you here!
Welcome Eliza! This channel is so good and it's great to have an extra voice and perspective.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Loving the new host, hi Eliza. Totally agree with all your points (apart from Harrods i'm afraid i love it! ) 😀
Haha no worries. Thanks for watching!!
Great video! My wife is in a wheelchair so we hope to see more accessible content from you soon so we can plan accordingly.
We're happy to help and have Eliza here now! We also have some articles on our site about wheelchair-accessible sights etc.: loveandlondon.com/

We thoroughly enjoyed the London Dungeon. Didn't have to wait in line at all. Very interactive and fun for our whole group.

Totally, you do you! We're sharing our opinions, as with anything you can take it or leave it.
Saw a flash picture of Borough Market. Highly recommend. So much fresh and delicious food
Thank you Eliza for this list! I am coming to London this month and this list really really helps me to make better plans with my time there.
We're so glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!

I certainly recommend the Thames Clipper boats. You can get an all-day ticket for about £20.
Absolutely!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
London is so beautiful city for me and I'm Chelsea fan in London-England.🥰😍🤗💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💯
I like the hop off hop on buses because they me familiarise myself with the city I’m in. I can then decide which places I want to see on other days.
Welcome Eliza! As a wheelchair user myself I'm looking forward to your posts
We're glad to hear it, thanks for watching!

Do you guys think it is worth it to visit the Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford? Or is it just a tourist trap?
If you love Harry Potter and have a day to dedicate to it, it's great, but tickets book very fast and early. I would recommend using this tour: gyg.me/tOAx2Iis
@loveandlondon Awesome. Thanks for the info and the link.

London Dungeon is great but to be fair I wouldn't recommend multiple trips there 😂
I actually found the Edinburgh Dungeon more interesting
Me too. I'm biased because I am from Edinburgh 😂
@@filmsociety1311 I still remember the scotch chocolate treats I purchased many years ago from there.
Cool Co-Host!

Still better then phoebe
So basically the 5 Merlin Entertainments attractions on the South Bank...
