Nostalgia bomb dropped during that AC commercial!
Another great video. Been years since I been in this store. I like the choice of music and sears spots to cover up the in store music.
I remember going to this Sears right before they closed, the area just seems so different now with it gone.
I remember buying a jacket from sears once and I didn’t realize until I got home that the cashier had forgotten to take the security tag off of the sleeve. We went back with the receipt to have them remove it and the lady not only took the tag off, but she also gave me a full refund for some reason. I wasn’t expecting to walk back out with a free jacket.
Eddie freaking sucks. The Sears 2 towns over is closing. The problem is, that same town is where the Bon Ton is HEADQUARTERED (well, one of them. They have 2, but it was founded here), plus they have 2 stores. Oh, and a TRU and BRU. York, PA is getting hit hard in the retail apocalypse of 2018.
Mom used to shop for me and my brother is Sears when we were kids. Times had changed.
There’s only one Sears left in my home state of Utah now, just two years ago there used to be 5 and 3 years before that there was 6
Another great video. I wonder how long before the Eastwood Mall Sears closes.
I love the music and commercials...good touch! They have not closed the one in my city in Michigan yet, but if they do it will be the third anchor to close at our already struggling mall..its sad!
My Sears in Hermitage,Pennsylvania in the Shenango Valley Mall closed sometime around 2015. JcPenney is the only store remaining at the mall.
The Sears at the Beaver Valley Mall were I live just down the road just became a Rural King store. The old Macy’s is going to be used as a U-Haul storage facility. You should come and see the new Rural King store and see how they changed inside. The Beaver Valley Mall is changing but is not as bad as some other malls.
rob mush that’s nothing chapel hill mall in Akron is dying and only has a jcpenney and a few other stores. Howe Ave nearby (where all the big box stores are) is doing okay but may lose business once the repacking starts next year
That was my local sears before it closed
I like the Von Maur type music at the end. Anyway, I run out of words to describe the retail disaster going on. It's a dirty rotten shame. A major market like Pittsburgh won't have Sears anymore. They are wearing thin in the Chicago area as well, the home base for Sears. I don't know where the nearest KMart is anymore. I think the inevitable is going to happen. A bankrupsy judge would immediately say liquidate, but there is a due process. Sears will still exist as the hometown stores in smaller towns, so at least there will be some reminder of Sears.
My grandmother was an infamous Sears shopper. By infamous I mean she would shop the clearance section, then peel the clearance tags off, but leave the regular price on the item, and then give it as a gift. 🤣🙈💁🏻♀️
Man, there goes another Sears. One of the few remaining Sears in my state is the one at Mall of America that's one of the anchors there, and I'm willing to bet that it'll be closing within the next few years. It's pretty dead every time I go through it when I go to MOA.
My sears/sears auto center in Myrtle beach is still open and really busy.
This is a very clean store. And somehow the music at the beginning made it depressing. GOOD VID.
EDIT:Can you document my sears in Strongsville?
I remember seeing someone take off and steal another persons belongings at my sears several years ago. That location is still open today
Sad to see yet another sears close. The sears near me closed long ago and is now an Aramak.
I was at this store 2 years ago and I'm really surprised that it lasted this long. It was was understaffed, understocked and pretty much a mess.
in years to come when all the sears are closed , people will enjoy coming back to your videos .. would be nice if you could do one that isn't closing { for a good memory } like greensburg mall or st clairsville ohio
Crazy😵I hear Southern Park Malls doing just fine. You know a company has simply given up and closes even in a usually busy mall like this one sad.
I grew up shopping at this mall. Sad to see it go! I hope another anchor store moves in to take its place...don’t want to see this become another dead mall.
great look sir. We had/have two sears in northern delaware. One closed 2-3 months ago. Thank you for documenting these so we can look back at what once was.
A friend of mine works in the furniture department of this store. Its a shame that he'll be unemployed shortly...
When i was a kid i thought Sears would be around long after i was gone they had one of the tallest buildings in Chicago named after them its a shame to see them closing they fell all the way from the very top of the retail chain
I was there on Saturday
Resting after surgery, rolling with Wallie!
Snow and Ice hope all is well! Feel better soon!
WallieB26 Thank you! I am better.
Great video thank u that is my sears my family has shopped in that one for many years if gonna feel different going to that mall now
did you add the commercial in background to drown out trademark music in store
The fixture sale stickers are the same ones I see at Toys R Us meaning they've got the same liquidator. Liquidators are making tons of money right now emptying out all these businesses....
I think all of the liquidators use the same sign making companies. I would like to buy stock in such sign companies right now since they are doing well at the expense of the stores closing.
Looks like you can buy a Grammy at Sears.
My local sears closed years ago... I still kinda miss it
I didn't know Sears sold Grammy Awards.
I wonder if another tenant wants the space. That's usually when/why Sears at nicer Malls close.
Come to Detroit...lots of gems here...
Great video. Like on Sears doesn't make sense to most people. You have your name brand products like Whirlpool what have you. And Sears just gives their name on it for the same product and their price.
That’s my local mall it’s sad to see this sears close
They closed today
I've literally watched every video you have great work
Cows? Thank you so so much for your loyalty. I'm grateful to hear I have been able to provide you with quality videos. I try. Thank you again!
Do you remember Bargain City that eventually switched to Rinks Bargain City then eventually was switched to Cooks which was from the 80s and 90s they eventually went out of business in the mid to late 90s they we're a Ohio based store
One of the malls near me had a Sears converted to an At Home, but only half of the space. They divided it so the At Home is accessible from the parking lot, but not the mall, leaving that portion available for lease (and creating a dead wing in the mall.
Dick’s Sporting Goods has also been popping up in indoor malls.
Those blue escalator belts are so cool!
"The Softer Side of Sears" was probably one of the last brilliant moves Sears had done with itself and its last real ha rah. It was a great ad campaign which helped boost sales, but it was its last brilliant move in my opinion.
What about Sears at South hills village mall?
The Sears Near Me Was In My Local Mall, And That One Closed Down On The Higher Level, But It's Still Open On The Lower Level. The One On The Higher Level Is Now Lord And Taylor
I'm happy Washington pa one is the only one pa that one was crowded today go to the one in Washington
How much time do you think sears will live?
Hi Wallie,I loved the video as always. As I wrote and said to Anthony I find it good that all of you are documenting the closure of these stores.I am from Ireland but living in Germany and I find it depressing especially in America to see this happening what once were powerhouses in retail closing.I see the emotion in you guys.I think its terrible that they are allowed to be bought up by liquidation companies just to be taken apart and sold off instead of them trying to save a piece of history. In saying that I dont think that the internet and Amazon are the main blame, looking at alot of these stores that all of you document I ve come also to the conclusion that the majority havent been modernised. They look old and wheather it would be Sears,Macys or JCPenny they literally all have the same interior design. For the younger generation it isnt appealing .At the time were it really kicked off with E-commerce these companies lagged behind.Unfortunately its everywhere, there are chain stores in Germany,Ireland etc..that are under threat for the same reason.I hope to get over to the Ohio area next year so hopefully there will be some of these stores left.
I also wrote to Anthony and told him that all the ToysRus in Germany and Austria are being bought by an Irish company(Smyths toys-Toymaster)As far as I know the name will be kept.As Toymaster has a big presense in the Uk they did not buy the UK wing.Anyway Wallie keep up the good work.all the best,Sean
Nice Sears theme
Nice touch to use the Sears adverts as soundtrack as you went around the store. It's sad to see another great retailer fading to black.
Nice with and without the beard. THe only change is your videos just keep getting better and more creative. Keep them coming when you can bud.
I loved the jingle, "There's more for your life... at Sears". Nice touch, Wallie, adding that one, in the mix. I just wish, there was more life, IN Sears. 😔
I wonder how long my local Sears outlet is going to last. It hasn't looked fresh in years.
KD2NOA Edward Martz a lot if not all Sears Outlet stores are franchises. Meaning Sears Holdings doesnt run them. They shouldn't close right away but if Sears Holdings folds, I imagine these little stores will after so long.
I recently read some Sears Outlets were closing. Also, I recall seeing one in Niles, IL close not long ago. Yep, the outlets mainly are franchised. Just also heard some of the Sears Hometown stores(also franchised) will soon be closing down.
8:50 What are those phonograph looking things?
Downstairs sale there normal goods, and upstairs sale there shelving!.
*I remember reading something recently, but dont know exact details... but it had to do with the current rate that Sears and Kmart are closing, that they'd all be gone by 2022. I could see it happening much sooner. We might just get a bomb dropped on us like Toys R Us and Bon Ton, and all remaining stores will just close up shop.*
Richard Dremden Wolf if they still exist as brick and mortar by the end of 2019, I will be shocked.
Maybe another unexpected retailer that we have never heard about doing bad will drop a bomb as well. It just seem like we have to watch from day to day. Bed Bath and Beyond may drop a bomb, I don't know.
Much, that's only 3 1/2 years away! The 2020's will be when they file bankruptcy if not next year.
Fast Eddie pumps in enough money into them to make sure they'll make it to 2020. He's got enough right now, and they've got about 900 total places between the two of them, so they're very likely to make it to 2020, but coming soon, they'll file bankruptcy.
Jack Son they're closing 70-100 stores quarterly. That's 300-400/year. They closed over 350 in 2017. They closed 166 stores between January and April and are closing like 70 more next month. They are hemorrhaging.
Another great video, you need to do a video on the the mall in Steubenville Ohio.
He already did libtard
Happy for the video, but sad at yet another closure.
Make America great again LOL it's sad too see stores closing
So many fixtures in one spot! Come see another deader side of sears......
I really didn't shop at Sears to much. But honestly I hate to see any store close down. Thinking about the people with no job is hard. Wishing all of then the best of luck.
im pretty confused becuz everytime i watch tv, they tell me unemployment is at an all time low.
Are home town sears store is closing as well. So sad but it just sold appliances, tools, lawnmowers and things of that nature.
Hey WallieB Thank You For Another Great Video!
I Was Wondering If You Had Any Plans For A WallieB T-Shirt?
EBS 2020 I'm planning on it! Just work a deal with a tshirt manufacturer. I know some people around here but I want them to be of great quality at a good price.
Thinking of having it framed

My sears not closing
Not yet anyway. They announce new store closures every 3 months or so. This round was delayed, but the next bunch will be announced in probably late August or early September. I keep watching for the store by my sister to close because every other Sears in a 30 mile radius has shut down.
Not yet
Another store closing sad frickin sad
My sears closes in sept the closest one now is in LA one hr 27 min way
My Kmart is still not closing though
Damn
All that space and nothing to do with it,
First! Anyways, the oldest and only stand alone Sears here in San Antonio, TX is closing. We still have 3 other Sears which are anchor stores that are still hanging on
I lived in San Antonio for 20 years are you talking about the one where Central Park Mall was located. I think they call it Park North Mall now. I know there was also one where Ingram Park Mall is.
The Austin location on Parmer lane recently just closed along with the toys r us. It was a sears grand and the last standalone in Austin, the only two left are mall anchors.
Bill Levins yes sir, that's the one. They tore down central park mall years ago and made it to what is now park north shopping center. I remember central park had that huge merry go round inside and I will never forget funtasia and the petland store. The sears at Ingram mall is still around.
