Nice looking rifle. I was actually looking at the backcountry 2.0 ti . They make it in left hand and have it in 280 ai. I like my weatherbys the only thing holding me back is the stock. Right now my thing is good looking wood stocks. Some are a work of art. I look forward to seeing how yours works out. May change my mind . Congratulations on the new rifle
@@jamessammann9183 I didn't think the 7 was being produced yet. Cal aside thats a nice set up. Not my cup but its a nice set up. I'm looking for a 257 weatherby or have had it on my mind. Not sure if it was more of roy hype to compete against 257 rig. Or if it was his favorite cal.
Looks like a toy gun the way you're tossin her around. This is the nicest rifle I've seen Weatherby put out in a while. All these Christensens and Fierce rifles are taking the cake but this rifle looks like it would fit in line there beautiful rifle. But......how does she shoot?
I have a Weatherby Accumark in 30-378 magnum with their muzzle brake and a Weatherby Accumark in 300 wby mag with their muzzle brake on it and they work very well at reducing recoil.
Yeah, baby....made right here in Sheridan! They've been turning out some sweet stuff since they moved to our podunk little mountain town. Unfortunately there are no free samples if you tour their facility...
Very sharp looking rifle! I can't wait to see you do every single test with it, including long range! I'm also looking forward to seeing your Colt Single Action Army air pistol!🇺🇲✝️🇺🇲

That rifle is gonna be so much fun. Perfect scope combo. The pa glx scopes are light with good glass, great tracking and the Athena mil is one awesome reticle.
That is a dandy of a rifle, I can’t wait to pick mine up. Going to send ‘er on some elk hopefully most likely next year. Congrats on your new rifle, I am looking forward to seeing you shoot it.
I know you like to sight in at 100 yards, but I think this Hamstringing a very fine cartridge. I would sight it in for 300 or four hundred yard zero for taking it out to 1000 yards and then zero it at 100 for local hunting. This in my opinion, would make the long range shooting an easier calculation. My 338 lapua mag is sighted in for a 300 yard zero, so there is no need to aim off the average prey. Very interested in finding out the practical performance of this rig in the field.
Man Who Tee that's a fine rifle I like Weatherby anything a fantastic company. I have looked at these rifles and that is a great choice. How ever I personally would go a lighter caliber 270 perhaps Yeah I get shoulder problems, but that is a cool rifle , I had a 300Weartherby Vanguard and it was a tack driver. Thanks for showing, I'm setting up a Browning Hells Canyon in 6.5 Creedmore and I'm loving it also. Bring home the big one buddy. Dang that's nice 👍
Beautiful, light and powerful. It better be for $2700 or $3200 for the carbon fiber barrel version. Definitely an interesting cartridge. I mentioned on Weatherby’s Instagram page that I hope that the 338 RPM will be available in their Hunter line or other sub 2k rifles in the future. A cool video would be comparing the 338 RPM, 338 Win Mag and the 340 Wby Mag. Ballistics, felt recoil, etc…
That is the lightest and strongest action made. And the 338 RPM is as balanced an all around cartridge as you can get. Bullet weight and diameter and construction can brain elephant and drop Cape Buffalo so you are indeed covered Who_Tee_Who.
was supprised to see .338 180 grain rounds out there, finding good results with 300PRC @ 212-220 grain and with the 212gr eld-x factory load it was clocking just over 2900fps, granted this is an 18 inch barrel, and adding the suppressor won't add any rifling/stability to it.
basically this.. sounds like hes gonna put a can on it though which will add weight and lower recoil a bit. Sucks that it's not an option for Canadian hunters.
It wont be bad at all with a break or can on it. I have a mark V in 340 wby which is probably about 3 pounds heavier but its also 338 with a lot more powder behind it and with the break it kicks like a mild 30-06.
Sheweeee! She's sweet! I'm curious about the recoil though, being that light, even with the break. Looking forward to seeing you shoot it. Also look forward to seeing you shoot that bb slinger you had the other day, the Peacemaker.
Now you can order a nice rail with a built in recoil lug in 20 moa. I recently bought a seekins precision rail and it’s pretty stellar. A bit pricy bus super nice. Looking forward to some content with that beauty. Great vid!

Not trying to be negative but that seems to fall well short of magnum velocity. My 338wm shoots the 185 Barnes around 3200fps. Seems to me they just did a copy of the 338 Federal. I also would not put a 4lb scope setup on my ultralight rifle. Now for the good. Man that thing is sweet looking. Really like the 18 inch barrel for using it suppressed. Matched with the appropriate optic that would easily be one of my favorite rifles. Put the leupold on it from the 35 Whalen or pick up an ultralight optic. Can’t wait to see if it delivers on it’s potential. Really hoping it delivers advertised velocities with the 18 inch barrel.
