  • Is it even possible for a Switch to be used as a second screen controller for the upcoming Switch 2? Think of the possibilities.

I could see them doing a second screen. Since certain Game & Watch days they've had an affinity for the dual screen format. Plus, it'd be a fantastic way to re-market DS and 3DS titles.

I'm with you. More ways to play the DS. I'm always for that.

They just need to add a image emitter on the console, and a image receiver on the dock, and that's it, now the Switch 2 will also be able to work as a WiiU in reverse, and all these games like Nintendo Land, and other 4x1 games, games that use two screens (Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD), will work as they worked on WiiU. I hope they do it. But I dont like the idea to use the Switch 1 as second screen, it's confusing and I wanna sell my S1 to buy the S2 or games. The Switch 2 can do it all by itself. Also, using another Switch to control other game is not a matter of hardware, it's just software, its already possible in Switch 1, and even a game like Super Mario Party already does that. This is not a new feature, it's a feature that already exists , they just dont do it enough. The Switch 2 must work alone to do the second screen thing, but with the second screen being the TV, cause using another Switch as second screen already exists.

They used the 3DS as a controller for Smash Bros for Wii U. I was always disappointed the Switch wasn't a Wii U like controller that could use the TV at the same time. Totally on board with the Switch being a controller for an even more powerful system.
Honestly the biggest loss from the Wii U was that you couldn't use the Switch as a TV remote!

Good call on the 3DS used as a controller for Smash. Completely forgot about that.
