In case you didn't know, this song is from Sondheim's musical 'Assassins' and the 'Jodie' referred to is Jodie Foster, whom John Hinckley (Ben's part) tried to assassinate Reagan for ... and the 'Charlie' is Charlie Manson, who Squeaky Fromme (Zoey's part) tried to kill Gerald Ford for... kind of gives you a different feeling about the song once you know that, no? :-)

Everyone’s in it for Ben and Zoey(and rightly so), but I’m in cause this is only the second song by Stephen Sondheim(from his musical, “Assassins” for those who don’t know but want to know) that Ben has sung so far! I really wish he’ll sing more Sondheim in the future, as he’s got the perfect mix of singing abilities and acting chops for Sondheim’s work! Of course, I’m amazed that he got picked to play Charley Kringas in the 20 year spanning production of the film adaptation of “Merrily We Roll Along”, but if they decide to do a new and improved film adaptation of “A Little Night Music”(or at least a new revival, or even an Encores concert), I would die happily to see and/or hear him play Henrik! He’s perfect for that role, and I wish to hear him once, just once, sing “Later”!
If he does sing another song from Assassins, can it be a Balladeer song...? He has a light kindness and youth to his voice that doesn't really fit John Hinkley, but would work very well for the Balladeer.
