Dublin Bus Burning Rubber in the Snow

- Dublin's roads were iced up today after heavy snow fell on roads just before rush hour.
The last 39a bus out of town before Dublin Bus suspended services got stuck on Manor Street.
It couldn't get enough traction to get up the slight incline, and had to be abandoned.
Fair play to the driver who spent about 30 minutes trying to get us up that hill.
you know what fair play to that driver i was on that bus and that was the first of 3 times he got stuck on manor st before he finally gave up
Every year they get crappy weather and then say they are not used to it. Well, get used to and stop living in denial. Prepare for it. Their average lows are close to freezing. What do they do with all that rain and then it freezing at night
did that blond girl think she was going to push full of pasangers lol
They should put over drive on these £250.000 busses as at that price you woukd think it was fitted as standard then this problem wouldn't happen! As there's nothing worse than rear wheel drive cars/vans/trucks/busses especially in the uk/Ireland 😎
This is gonna happen again in about 3 weeks time I reckon!
So from what I remember, the 2010 snow in Dublin was caused by a volcanic eruption in Iceland, which disturbed the sun's rays coming down to Ireland? Then in 2018, I remember seeing a bus get stuck in the snow outside my house. It was an SG on Route 15 (Didn't see the fleet number)
Kick snow at the tire while it is spinning, what a lot of help that will do.
fair play to him for actually trying, since the bus is an automatic its alot harder
Hmm Despite the Volvo B9TL Tri-Axle bus is the most heavier bus in the Dublin Bus fleet this could be the reason why it struggles within the snow.. I'm sure the Volvo B7TL didn't had this problem nor the Volvo Olympian..
im old bruh
A here trying to push a double decker bus is nothing compared like pushing a car!!! Only Ireland
ObamaisHalfCaste HalfCaste Dose it matter if Dublin Is Boring? Think of it this way Imagine YOU lived in Dublin. Amd people hated YOUR town. how would you feel. It's our city and we can do whatever we want with it.

Is that what ya call burning rubber? wheres the smoke!
All busses should come equipped with a tea pot for exactly this reason
Old remould tyres are fucked.
Ok for 3-4 years and next thing . Not prepared
@progie1 think you were looking at the 39a that came behind him. This muppet got stuck once and gave up and he had a full bus. at least the 1st driver tried to get it moving and only gave up after third time getting stuck an hour an a half stuck all together. second driver looked like peter griffen from family guy the fat git i'd say he was in more of a hurry to get to the chipper

you would think a few would jump off and give it a push out of the ice patch. or that the drivers would be carrying some sorta griping device for times like these. its not like they dident know the conditions before they left the depot
And if kicking more snow didn't work why not try pushin the bus...ya.... The paper bag was almost a better idea
sucks having rear wheel drive automatic busses now doesnt it dublin bus!
Tsk Tsk put people in bus rear it will help more heavy the bus' wheel will not slip :-)
@OBAMAisHalfCaste How would you know that Dublin is boring? You don't know a thing about Dublin!
I was sure that blonde girl at 1:12 would be able to push out the bus
@shaunmooreokelly You need a lesson, in physics!
second axle and automatic gearbox didnt help this situation
The year ireland got snow (:
Пусть будет так что бы вы выслать прайс
get more people from the street in the back and you will get there
needs more diff lock
dublin bus needs some snow chains!
"YAAAAAAY!!..... aww."
I Think It's High Time Dublin bus Invested In Snow Tires & Or Chains For It's Busses.
David Cashell we don't get snow often enough to justify the expense
Great video
My question is... why does only one axle drive the bus...?
My 10 year late answer is that it's cheaper to build and maintain.
@@edwardtye4119 I guess, though it seems like it would make this sort of situation more common, no? I mean... I can just see this bus getting hung up because the first rear axel is in contact with the ground, and the second isn't (or is just barely touching)
