If I’m catching your drift, the slightly larger, slightly more suspended pedestrian CB 500 X Honda Transalp is the odd machine here. The other three are back country weapons.
@@theunheardprophet4315 even if you're doing fire trails the day it gets a little wet & muddy you're gonna be locking up that front wheel from stuck mud within minutes lol
Yeah ... I broke the low fender on my 640 Adventure because it packed up with mud. But, a low fender makes sense for a bike that can actually cruise at 100 mph. Yamaha might have it close to right -- give it a low fender, but also give it enough adjustment so you can add another inch or so of clearance when you need to.
These are all too heavy for anything other than maintained dirt roads. Anything more challenging and they’ll take you places you don’t want to go. Still waiting for an adventurised KTM/Husqvarna/Sherco 500.
for you, they're too heavy. you can only ride them on maintained dirt roads. plenty of people ride them on much much much technical terrain than dirt roads. there plenty of videos of weekend riders tackling challenging terrain on these bikes
Selling the Tuareg, keeping my 450L because its light and I can take it places that I couldn't take a 450+ pound bike. I'll miss the comfort, but I'll cry less when I drop it.
The Tuareg screen supposedly works pretty well, though, and it arguably has the best balance between street performance and dirt performance. From what I can tell, it's 10 to 30 lbs lighter than the others, and I think it has the 2nd lowest center-of-gravity. The thing that concerns me about Aprilia is the dealer network -- for a lot of people the nearest dealer is out-of-state.
The Yamaha must have an uncomfortable seat. The professional rider never sits down unless the motorcycle is sitting idle. What do I know, just trying to be funny
I got a Tansalp to go with my 450 L and the 300,s in Australia we must have more dirt roads than anyone Its very good i have put up some vids have a look it might tell you if it can off road
Professional riders, check. Perfect landscape for backdrop, check. How about a real world commercial showing an average rider thrashing about in his/her own backyard. I had one of these and was just too darn heavy for me in the dirt even knowing my skills suck. All are nice scooters so pick one and have fun.😀
Dumb comparison. The original transalp wasn't really meant for off-road either. There's a woman who took her '80s Transalp all over South America and other very off road locations and it did great. The new transalp with a few modifications will be a great 50/50 bike. Or leave it as is and do 75/25. So funny that people think the bike magically makes them good riders. I've seen guys manhandle an Africa Twin like it was a toy and I've seen guys struggle with a 250.
That Honda is going to look great parked outside of Starbucks.
It looks like it may have a built in cup holder somewhere.
I occasionally work as a photographer, so I'll take the Aprilia. 🤣🤣
It was made for you!

Nailed it.
ktm is the only one who has got the fender right. Low fenders for any amount of offroad is an accident waiting to happen.
They got tired of everyone recycling their fenders. LOL.
I agree, sort of. If you're in the terrain for high fenders then you will eventually also want a lighter bike. But high fenders always look better.

Heavy is relative, but ya, a nine 450 or 500 rally bike would by perfect.

Very wrong!
Better go watch “On back wheel” then tell me that the Tuareg is only good for maintained dirt roads 🤣

Oh I wouldn't get rid of my 450, but for actual longer highway rides a twin would be nice. Still, it's gotta crush off-road.
Stay Tuned. We need a Honda 450L Rally on steroids
Heck ya!
Tuareg 1st, Close 2nd the Tenere 700, then the KTM 890...The Transalp just looks like a Touring on-road bike. lol
I like the Aprilia but I'm not sure if I can afford the oil filters. LOL.
If the Honda is as good at the T7 probably have to get one! Aprilia is interesting but it's uglier than the KTM somehow???
LOL! Eye of the beholder and all that. LOL

🤣😂😎
Following the marketing is a sure way to be dissappointed
Hmmmmm....

I will! Thank you
Awesome! I’m most turned on by the T700.
Their video has me sold.
Love my T7 with Camel-Adv products! Cheers
I'd prolly love it too. LOL
There is not rival for the 890 adventure .
I know quite a few T7 riders that would argue with you over that. Some fairly accomplished guys.

Ya! Aprilia should just give me a call...

And another one misses the point. Thanks for the view Mediocre!
890 for the win!. If only I could ride a fraction as good as Adam Riemann or Chris Burch to use it to it's full potential though.
Ok. Ok. Or the T7, if only I could ride a fraction as good as Pol Tarres to use it to it's full potential though.
Ya, the 890 looks pretty amazing.
