I have filled kettles through the spout all my life. It never occurred to me this would be considered deviant behaviour in some quarters. Live and leatn even at 75

I’ve never even considered filling any other way than from the top. As another commenter mentioned, why even have the top opening if you fill via the spout?

Definitely fill through the top. Always have with open top kettles like this. After watching this review and I now swayed more to this one which is the more expensive one, dammit. lol

What is the use for a lid if they advise to fill it via the spout? I don't get it. I have a kettle which shows how much water is in it. And it can heat the water up to several temperatures. For making green tea. Or even heat water to do the washing up. Very handy.

Any kettle fitted with a spout filter should always be filled from the top lid opening - most manufacturer's do not recommend filling via the spout.

Does the kettle have ZERO plastic on the inside - does the water come into contact with ANY plastic - is the filter replaceable, stainless steel? With many thanks for any response.

Can you adjust the temperature like your other kettle reviews or are you out of luck if you wanna make less strong tea?

This model just boils, so you will need to knock the switch off early if you want to reduce the temperature
