actualy the sign at 14:25 is funny it says; "Caution! Bears living in the forests of Yavuzköy are very civilized animals. They have never been seen throwing garbage around. "
In the sign about the bears the following notice was written: "The bears living in these mountains are quite civilised beings. They have never been known to throw garbage into the environment." It contains some kind of warning or they are trying to say something to us humans, but I am not sure... :-p) Thank you for the great views. Keep up the great work please.
@@TREADtheglobe I was going to write something similar. They try to warn the people in a sarcastic way so that they don't throw away rubbish. 'Ayi' (bear) is sometimes used in Turkish for people who may be rude or tough. The sign takes that perception and makes a point by telling it is us who throw rubbish around, not bears. Good humor :)
Wow, wow, wow. Stunning video. It is great you are in my favorite country. It is amazing what Turkey has to offer away from the beach resorts. Please keep up the good work. It has made my day, shame about the drone
This episode was the complete package: twisty roads, gorgeous views, blue skies, happy dogs, livestock, delicious food, and a broken drone. 😬 Like you said, though, at least you recovered the footage. That viewpoint demanded the flight -- stunning landscape!! ❤❤😎👍xx
Wow. Just love your videos, pity about the drone though 🤭. I found you while watching the adventures of Ben and Chesca, Overlanding Sofia. The places , people , food and roads make a brill watch. Your descriptions and editing great too. I will be following you two. Take care. Dave . Norwich. UK.
Welcome Dave from Norwich ... We have to say that this convoy has been awesome !! Our videos are a little behind so you will be seeing them on our videos in a few weeks !! They are as lovely off camera as they are on !! Marianne xx
Can't wait for Kars !!! Please make sure you go see Ani ruins, Seytan castle and lake Cildir as well. People Ice fish in Lake cildir completely freeze during winter months. Kars was briefly ruled by the Russian they build the city center. There are so many lovely buildings from that era. City is famous for their cheese its called Kars kasari .
Just LOVE driving with you guys. Than you for another wonderful journey with fantastic views. I remember the first time I heard what Corn was called In Turkish. Thought it was quite funny but loved Marianne’s interpretation of MICE!!!!! Safe onward travels. 🏴🏴🏴❤️
Hi David - we have filmed so much in the last 2 months that we are a bit behind - we should be up to date by end of December !! The date we filmed is always in the description of the video 🌺👍
What an amazing place really, those tea shop owners gotta be some of happiest people on Earth!! By the way there are many bears in eastern Turkey, there is even some bear channels. One person was testing which food bears like and yep they always eat honey before anything else😂😂
Artvin Şavşat harika manzaraya sahiptir, biz karanlıkta geçtik ormanın kenarındaki yoldan, önümüze her an ayı çıkacak diye çok korkmuştuk ayrıca daha sık videolar bekliyoruz.
Turkey has amazing landscapes to explore. We love this country and we explored it using a small city car, even in high mountains and dirt roads ;) Best views ever ;)
The sign at 14:26…watch out for three bears out searching for someone called Goldilocks. Apparently, she broke into their home, ate their porridge and slept in their beds 🐻🐻🐻
Hi Chris and mariann 👋what can we say 😀 but thanks again for this video update 🤔 and we whish we where there 😀 keep safe say well and enjoy your travels sue and den 👍oh had our 3 vaccine 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
This was one of the best episodes and it was such a surprise. I am Turkish but didn't know how beautiful is everything over there. I'm not sure which month you were there but the weather and temperature seem perfect. And you sounded like you were a little worried about the bears but the sign said the bears in this area are 'civil' 😂
Did this city (town) go through a massive flood a few weeks before you guys visited? I remember the north eastern parts got massive rainfall causing great flooding. Maybe that is why all the streets look like flood hit areas. Love & respect from Bangladesh

Great video once again xx Recently they had one of the worst flooding in that region sadly with some lost lives. All the roads through the city was washed away........destroyed lives and properties. Sad sad sad
Yes, I thought that might be the reason. I have friends in Kastamonu and so was worrying for them through those floods but thankfully they came through okay.
Hi. Beautiful views. We been following you for years. We were looking forward to you continuing east. What is the plan? We were confused with your comment when you told your friend you would see him in March. 😀 🤔
Hi Paul - we are planning to drive the circumference of the world - this means we will probably be passing back through when the land border opens to Russia - now the weather window to Russia (Siberian side) means that if the border does open soon we still can't pass until Springtime 👍 - I hope this helps clear that up xx
The roads Marianne drives down are crazy..she is such a good driver 👍👍 How expensive is petrol in turkey..??? It’s so expensive in the uk right now 😬😬 And we would be terrified if there were bears…did you see any ..??? The views were stunning in this video ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You could be hit by very heavy snows soon. You would be advised to buy a set of snow chains . 3m+ of snow is not unusual and the Police will not let you pass with out chains (ZINGER in Turkish)
Thanks James - we carry snow chains and snow ropes - This was actually filmed a moth or so ago - so at this time it was ok and clear - but great info 👍🌺
Many thanks for your share of amazing views. In Kars, you have to get ''Dried 'Kaz' met'' and Kars Kaşarı!! Or I will never talk to you again :) Have a safe trip :)))

The word corn is "mısır" in Turkish. The funny thing is that it is also the name of the country of Egypt (this time with capital M, Mısır): -)
