It's really rare food. When we loose a coconut tree, we used to feel sad, but, this was such a comfort food. This was a tradition, way of showing respect to the tree and thanking it for the service. Cherished those mixed feelings so much as a child.

It is of infant tree.
In Kerala, they have lots of coconut garden. They plant huge numbers of new trees every year, thereafter wait for 6-8 years to start harvesting. And it give return for 30 - 40 odd years even 50 years also.
Immediately the next year of new tree plantation, they cut down some tree for better management of the garden. Either the tree is not growing fast, or it is off the line, or multiple tree from same point or any other reason.
It is actually overall good for the entire garden.
