My guess besides regulations is that Miss Dior is an iconic perfume for the young ladies who are buying their first “expensive “ and grown up perfume , a bit of like Coco mademoiselle… so with each reformulation they are trying to attract the new generation of young women so they can make Miss Dior their signature scent

As far as the 2021, I love it! At first it’s all over the place: sweet, musky, floral and powdery. But after it settles, it’s amazing! The scent trail it leaves is beautiful.

I am so disappointed. I haven’t had a chance to try the new formulation yet but anyone who watches my videos knows the 2017 was my all time favorite daytime scent for women and it sounds as though they’ve just ruined it. 😢 I’ve stocked up already on 2 bottles and I’m tempted to buy more. The 2017 is all I need in a perfume. And now it’s gone :(

Yes!! Did all the 2017s sell out? It's like they just disappeared. There are a few US based stores that still have it, like 2 haha. But for real, this new one sucks. Ilythia, if you can get Dossier perfumes, they did a dupe of the 2017.

Oh that’s so disappointing. Why would they do that?! They should have just made it a completely new scent and left Miss Dior alone.
I smelled this yesterday on a friend I haven't seen in like 2 yrs. I'm so impressed! I am picky about perfumes but this really captured me. I just might buy some even though it's really expensive. I own Pure Poison and it's my non-offensive, fancy feminine scent. This just may become my second. I love that the sandalwood really harmonizes with the florals. Love!

Great review as usual, Soki! 💓 I was curious to know about this reformulation since Ilythia Marie also talked about the discontinuation on her channel. I don’t personally own any Dior fragrances because they are not cruelty-free, but if I could, I would definitely get Absolutely Blooming! Such a beautiful scent.

So glad I got myself a100 ml of the 2017 version the other day ,cause I know once the new one hits the market ; it will become complicated to be sure which version you’ll be getting when you’ll order online on different sites
Miss Dior 2012 is my favorite. They should have never reformulated it. So classy and feminine.

My all time favourite was Miss Dior Chérie, and I thought the 2012 version was pretty close and should've been left alone from that point on. The 2017 version was too sweet for my liking. I don't understand why they keep reformulating it when the consumers have been asking for ONE thing for over 15 years : just bring back Chérie 2005

So glad I stocked up with the 100ml from Escentual earlier in the week. I had heard on the grapevine they were discontinuing the 2017 formulation.
So basically, they've watered down their formula, changed the bottle to make it cheaper and are charging the same price 🤔
£4 more per 30ml actually!!
I tested this new dior edp yesterday, went for a run, showered and after that I went to bed. The next morning I could still smell the parfume very well

Love this video - Miss Dior Cherie was one of my favorite perfumes when it came out, the smell reminded me of strawberries and champagne. The more recent versions smell nothing like that - it just smells like a generic floral perfume now. I wish they would bring MDC back!
I tried the new Miss Dior EDP. And I’m pretty surprised by the fragrance. For sure it’s more delicate than the previous one but it last pretty good and pretty well. I tried it on my skin in the morning and the scent was there until the end of the afternoon. And that was a big surprise for me.
The scent is definitely more flourish but there is a sweetness around it and then a creamy suave finish. Bravo Mr Demashy for that new one. 👌🏾👍🏾

Oh I'm devastated. I really was trying to not make preconceived judgments and give this one the benefit of a doubt. I can't wear the miss Dior EDP (older version now, I guess 😑) because it gives me a headache, but I LOVE the scent and even have a sample and spray it randomly on my clothes in my closet lol. I kinda had hope with this one being a similar sent yet softer maybe a little bit less headache inducing.
But you said it was a TOTALLY different scent! 😭 And now my heart is sinking. I'll hopefully get a sample one day and test it out because I do love Dior, but this is not what I was hoping for. 😞

So sad whenever a perfume discontinues... I've tried the sample of the new miss Dior eau de parfum today and I don't know how I feel about it. The old metal bow looks more expensive. The floral scent of the new version died down after 30mins and then it left me with a strong vanilla scent.

Absolutely blooming is my favorite
I love the ad on TV so was intrigued to find out what it smelt like. I got a card sample from The Fragrance Shop and I have to say, I am obsessed with the smell. The scent still smells strong held up to my face 24+ hours from being sprayed. It's an uplifting, fresh, sweet, flowery scent. I'm now not sure if this is the new fragrance or the old given multiple sources on how weak the new fragrance is reported to be. I'll have to go back to the store and see. Would my description of the scent match that of the new bottle?
Hi, Soki! The description of the old version you’re talking about deals with the 2012 alternative, absolutely not with the 2017 version. This one is a strong praline - peony/rose - rasperry/ pink pepper fragrance. Finally, the 2017 version is still available in lots of stores, so you could check it out! ☺️

It actually sounds like something I would like more than the 2012 or 2017 actually. I decluttered that one a few years back. Anyways I thought it was too heavy and mature so maybe I would like this one more. Or maybe I should just get Blooming Bouquet!

I don’t know why Miss Dior perfume does that. i got 5 ml sample Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and while I liked it, the scent is gone in minutes! I tried to spray a loooot because I just wanna use it all and get rid of it, that’s when it started to last longer. Few hours later, my husband smelled it on me (for the first time after trying it for sometimes) and says he likes it. This fragrance is Intriguing 🤔

My Miss Dior EDT I believe Is 2016 or 2017 contains; Mandarin, Lily of the Valley, Rose, and Pachouli. I can’t wait to smell the differences.

Wow, looking at the comments down below a looooot of people don't like it. But I sprayed it on me yesterday at the store and to my surprise I loved it! 😍😍😍 Very sweet floral on me. For me it is very surprising I love it so much, coz I'm normally for the sweet vanilla kinda scents, not the floral ones. It says on the website there's vanilla and tonkabean? I don't get that at all 🤷🏼♀️ Also sprayed it on in the morning and lasted all day on me.

From Dior it is my favorite . Not really into the other Dior fragrances . They are all beautiful but not my style . I used to be obsessed with the one that had the popcorn note . Thank you for sharing with such detail. Love how you describe the notes .

I have the old one which I love so much. I did try the new one in a Macys here in NY, my daughter who is 17 loves the new Miss Dior 2021 better. Interesting she has a younger nose and I think they wanted to get the younger audience. PLEASE bring back Mis dior Cherie, I love that version

I just sprayed the new 2021 version on my skin and the first thing I could think of.... This smells exactly like Vera Wang Princess on me.

I luv lily of the valley. Smells so fresh n clean n bright. The original Kate Moss perfume is 1 of my absolute favs. And that was a pink pepper/rose/lily of the valley and musk/patchouli perfume. And i love it. 🤗 🥳
I cut ally liked the new one better! Fresher and younger feeling! Received so many compliments.
As a brand new perfume it may well deepen with a bit of age, I’m excited to try it but expectations are low, maybe they’re aiming at a younger market again. The 2017 is quite heavy and almost Middle Eastern in its rich patch / rose / amber feel so probably not that popular with the younglings.

Anyone have thoughts on what perfume I should get my girlfriend for valentines?? Just sprayed both arms and new version is a refresh. Different times, seasons and events warrant a Refresh of Miss Dior…. BUT…. I agree the original Cheri and even the now discontinued Miss Dior have more positive significance in my opinion .
So here's a fun tidbit on why they won't just bring back the original Miss Dior Cherie from 2005 -- Dior beauty was bought out by LVMH back in 2011 when the first reformulation happened. The original perfumer, Christine Nagel, is Swiss and works for the company Givaudan -- therefore LVMH didn't have the rights to her amazing strawberry popcorn concoction that we all miss. So now we have a hundred different versions of Miss Dior, all by Francois Demachy who just can't seem to capture the essence that Nagel could.
oh well that sucks. am I deceiving myself thinking maybe someday they'll get the rights to the formula and bring out the perfume again? lol thanks a lot for the explanation :)

I revisited this video on my tv Soki, and want to say I appreciate you comparing the two versions of Miss Dior. I get the impression it's more like an edt, than an edp. Shame they had to reformulate it again. ☹⚘💕🌿

Absolutely Blooming's lasting power is so BAD on my skin. I love the scent, but an hour after spaying it I can barely smell it on my skin.
Miss Dior eau de parfum, the 2017 version, is a beast.
It's kind of sad that it got discontinued. It's one of my favourite scents. I'm so happy that I've purchased the 100ml bottle.

I was extremely disappointed too...it fades very fast and I don't like the lily of the valley note. It smelt quite ancient for me.

I’ve never had any of the previous versions because the notes didn’t appeal to me. However miss Dior 2021 seemed right up my alley. I love vanilla peony, peach and powdery scents. However, I don’t smell vanilla at all. On me it just smells sweet, floral and a little spicy which is weird. I really wish it smelled more powdery and vanilla like some people described it :(
I’m so disappointed they’ve reformulated again. Miss Dior 2017 is one of my favorite/signature scents and has been for years. When I heard it was being reformulated again, I bought a 5oz bottle of the 2017 edition, with hopes that the new edition wouldn’t be very different. But it sounds like they’ve ruined it, for me at least. 😔
I’m still having the version 2012 because I purchased 3 of 100 ML bottles before they reformulated in 2017 just when I finally bought a 2017 version I see a new version 2021 😳

It depends on taste. I like it very much Blooming Bouquet but didn't like Absolutely Blooming. I like Rose and Roses, but I don't like the Miss Dior EDP. So, I believe, I will really like this new release of EDP. The perfume I mentioned as not like, also gives me a headache. The iconic La Vie est Belle and Coco Mademuaselle also give me a strong headache. Taste differ!
