Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by! I'd love to hear about your favs and were there any surprises in my list? Let us all hear about it in the comments. Happy Sunday! Chris❤
This is my favorite kind of perfume content. I love the long format and pacing. You do a wonderful job combining your passion and opinions along with education snd information. I love hearing you explain the main notes and how that makes the whole perfume come across. I could listen to this for hours while I multitask around the house. Lots of love from CA 💕💕💕
Aw thank you so much! I listen to perfume content also for the same reasons; while commuting to work or during hikes.so that is a big compliment. I tend to be drawn to those ppl who are kind of the “anti Tik Tok “ creator; not spazing and hyping every new fragrance (only to never be mentioned again) . 😂 So that means a lot to me because I know the “hype every new perfume that comes out” are the vids that get the most views and followers. 🙏🏻🤦♀️❤️😍
Hi Chris! I own 11 Chanel but none from the Exclusifs line. Someone killed Chance OG for me so I sold my bottle and sadly I can’t wear Eau Tendre anymore because a friend of mine abuses it and we can smell her 50 feet away. 😅 My top 3 would be Gabrielle, Coco Noir and Eau fraîche but honestly when I decide to wear a Chanel, besides Coco Mademoiselle which is only a like, I love them all equally and it’s a headache to pick. Happy Sunday! ❤
THANK YOU! I have been looking for samples of Chanel and Guerlain A&M forever. Coromandel literally gave me goosebumps when I first smelled it. I love it. Definitely going to check out this site❤❤❤
Thank you for the video. This will probably date me, but Chanel #5 was my signature scent for years. It was also my mother's. My father used to travel internationally and could purchase the perfume for much less than here in the U.S., so everytime he came back from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Frankfurt, etc., he would bring back bottles of Chanel #5 perfume. He died many years ago, and now when I smell it, I can't wear it. It reminds me of him. But, you have opened my eyes to other Chanel possibilities.
I love your descriptions of these! It’s making me want to explore more Chanel fragrances, and I also need to revisit my samples- if I remember correctly, I have a dozen or more samples but I’ve been ignoring them! 😅
I might need to give 31 Rue a few more wears. It just is sooo strong and over powering at first. Maybe I’ll just spritz twice and see what happens. Thx for stopping by!! ❤️❤️
What a great idea to rank your Chanel fragrances, I've always wanted someone to do that. Coromandel, Le Lion, and Coco Noir are my favorites. I have most of these as they are, as you say, great professional fragrances, timeless, and chic. Great list!
Oh I loved this video! In Canada we have a very generous Optimum program where basically I earn points for Shoopers Drug Mart (which carries some higher end beauty brands) when I buy groceries at one of our major groceries chains. Basically every 2-3 months I have about $300 in points I can play with and my favourite is to buy Chanel fragrances. I have many, but in my heart I’m a No 5 woman… that said my most successful blind buy was No1 de Chanel fragrance mist. It’s so classy and easy and refreshing. I keep it in my bathroom and spray it often first thing in the morning if I just want to smell good and haven’t decided on a SOTD yet. I’m half way through my bottle and will absolutely repurchase. I haven’t smelled many of the exclusive rage. I’m sure I would love them. I do have a 15 years old decant of Coromandel still kicking and wow is that a powerhouse. Oh and I wore Cristalle EDP (from a decant) on Friday and had THE BEST scent day. ❤❤❤
As a Chanel fragrance lover. I thoroughly enjoyed this! If you haven’t tried a sample of Bois des Iles, it’s a lovely different take on Sandalwood. Has quickly climbed my list of favorite Chanel fragrances. Thank you for sharing! ❤
Oh Chanel. My first fragrance from Chanel was Coco edp and it was my signature scent for a very long time. I love no. 5 edt, premiere and Gabrielle edp that I bought after it was released.
Thank you for the review and the sage advice about counterfeits. I don't have chanel in my collection yet but was brave enough to wear orogin coco in my 20s lol
Coromandel is my absolute favorite! Probably my favorite in my whole collection! It's timeless, beautiful and classy! Going to wear it today! I decluttered 31 Rue Cambon, 1922 and 1932 bc they were too vintage smelling and I never reached for them. Lol! Our tastes are so similar! I also decluttered Gardenia.
Thanks Chris for the rundown on these Chanel fragrances. I didn't know there were so many. I've only heard of a few but some of the others are new to me.🤔🤔
It’s so pretty and was on my wish list until I got New York Gardenia (new release). I don’t need the more expensive Chanel Gardenia now. Whew! Saved me money. 😂
I love the Les Eaux line and wore Paris-Edimbourg all summer. I also smelled No. 19 Poudre recently and fell in deep like with that one (although it didn't seem to last very long). My next Chanel purchase might be Comète, but the projection is very light on me so still mulling that one. Great video!
Your comment regarding changing preferences in perfume, at different times of our life resonated with me, its so true. Love/like/declutter🤷. Gardenia comment so on point Chris. I adore fresh gardenia, but the "note" is not my favorite. I wore ELIZABETH TAYLORS GARDENIA, and have had women stop me to inquire. I couldn't wear it any longer, I have daily, yes, yes daily persistent migraines. I'm trying NOT to declutter EVERYTHING for the second time in my life, so I just wear soft calming perfumes, mainly at bedtime as FLORIDA WINTER without humidity has detrimental effects on the vascular system, making migraines more painful. YES, HOUSE REVIEWS ARE WONDERFULLY INFORMATIVE! Tfs❤ Francine
Thank you Francine for the lovely feedback! Yes 20 years ago I was drawn to strong , hefty more vintage-y amber florals whereas now I craze lighter, more airy and soft.
Hello Chris, wonderful video. My favorite Exclusif is Jersey too, so I have the same taste as your mother😀 followed by Bois des Îles and Coromandel. There is also Misia but this kind of makeup, rose, violet profile is quite common so I only have a bottle with around 40ml in it.
Thank you sooo much!!! I love Bois des Iles as well. If one I won the lotto I’d be adding every one in the line with the exception of maybe 2; they are all so timeless and well done
Hey sweetie!!! I wore Chance Eau Tendre EDT this morning. Well I wore Vanilla Eclat to early morning church but I came home, put on my exercise clothes and went to an F45 workout class with my daughter. Spritzed Eau Tendre 3 times an hour before and it’s just so perfect. I smell so pretty but never overpowering. ❤️I haven’t smelled Allure in ages. I need to fix that
@ Eeeee Vanilla Éclat! 🤩 That sounds perfect!! Ooh I need to make CeT my treadmill scent one of these days 🥰 Hope you had a great workout! Yes I love Allure ☺️
Gosh it’s hard to rank Chanel, as they are so good! Today, I would say my favorites are Beige, Misia, Coromandel, Sycomore and No. 19 Poudre. 💖 BUT I do love Coco Noir, Chance Eau Fraiche, Eau Tendre and Coco Mademoiselle Intense as well. Thank you for the decant website!!!
My favorites are N 22, Gardenia and I’ve been thinking of getting 1957 lately, such a beautifully done musk. Have you ever tried Allure Sensuelle EDP, I would say it’s a bit similar to Coco Noir.
I have several Chanels in my collection (my daughter calls it vintage)! I reach for Allure EDT and Cristalle more than any of them. If I could only pick one, it would be Cristalle in any formula. Thanks for your ranking. I enjoyed.
@@ThePerfumeNest I totally forgot 1957!that one is super high up for me as well! I fell in love with Comete when it was warmer here so maybe in the Spring it'll win your heart even more.
Coromandel is my favorite along with Coco Noir and Eau Fraiche. I recently sold my 1957 on Mercari as it was too much of a “clean linen” musk and I like more slightly animatic.
I don't have a lot of Chanel but I have Beige, Chance eau Tendre parfum,Chance eau Fraiche parfum 1957, Gabrielle Essence,Allure Sensuelle parfum, I want to try N'5 Premiere & n'19 Poudre.
I’ve always been a fan of Chanel fragrances❣️ my least favorite is #18 I love almost every other one even original COCO my favorite most worn might be the Chanel Chance eau fraiche because it goes with everything and can be worn so often all throughout the year. Today I’m wearing number FIVE on one arm and FIVE L’EAU on the other arm
Yes I agree Eau Fraiche is a masterpiece freshie! The other night I did 1957 on one arm and Comete on the other arm and it was heaven. I love doing those side by side wears. ❤️
My ride or die Chanel, Coco (EDP & EDT), Allure Sensuelle and CM Intense!! The Chanel I have tried to love and/or accept but just never happened is No. 5!! I still just don’t understand the appeal!!
I remember being in a Chanel boutique and wanting a Gardenia scent. I tested the pure perfume which was absolutely amazing, but I think $350 for half ounce. Ouch!! I liked Misia, but I ended up getting Lipstick Rose at a very good price (Costco $150 for the 3.4) so Misia is off my list. I don't own a Chanel......yet.
We don’t have a Chanel boutique in my city unfortunately to smell the extraits. So many I want to try but don’t want to buy blindly. Maybe next time I’m in Chicago.. wow Lipstick Rose for 150$ ❤️
@@ThePerfumeNest I can only go to Chanel when I am in Miami maybe every other year. Fortunately I still had a bit of a sample of Misia and it is so close to Lipstick Rose I could scratch Misia off the list.
@@ThePerfumeNest LeLion, 1957, Eau Fraiche, Beige, Coco. I am planning on picking up Bel Respiro, (love green fragrances), Coromandel, Jersey, Comete, Coco Noir. I actually purchased the largest bottle of Coco Noir but I didn't check the shipping address before placing the order and it was shipped to a friend. So when she called me all excited about it, i had to roll with it. LOL. I will pick up the exclusives in Europe when I travel there for business as the prices are cheaper and no tax. I have the same issue as you with Shalimar, I have tried over and over to like it but it is just nasty on my skin.
My line up from most favourite to a little less favourite: allure sensuelle edp, allure sensuelle edt, chance edp and edt, coco edp, allure edp/edt, no 5 edp, chance eau tendre, gabrielle (essence), coco mademoiselle / intense, coco noir, chance eau vive , cristalle eau verte, chance eau fraiche, coco edt, cristalle edp.(🫣)
