    This is the way it's supposed to be done...for the ones that can't sing. If the vocals are nowhere close to where they're supposed to be- AutoTune CAN'T perform miracles.

      No. It can bring d flat or sharp to D. Or vice, versa.

    Nice Instructional Video! But also very cool studio, and especially I like your space setup.. looks and seems to feel great to work in! Also, that's a really very nifty little digi Wave LCD monitor you have on your console there... I never saw that before, what product is that? Does that read out your wave only after it's converted to Digital, I imagine?
    Cheers!

      I've been using melodyne + the stock logic pitch correct as an effect and it gives a similar sound, can't afford both melodyne and autotune and I love the melodyne workflow, thanks for the tutorial!

    • @samuelng6441
      @samuelng6441 2 роки тому

      I don't listen to Owl City much but I already know what you're talking about and what you're looking for
      1. Sing well
      2. Record in 96khz
      3. Melodyne everything first and also use Melodyne to shift pitch
      4. Run through Autotune Pro to smoothen
      5. Bail and cash out

    good processing, but i dont get why u need to Autotune for this, u could done the pitch modulation further in Melodyne too to make especially the "cityyyyyy" sound solid
    really no need for Autotune at all

      Auotune has a different sound to it.

    • @samuelng6441
      @samuelng6441 2 роки тому +1

      It's good as a smoothening process; it's used as a tonality tool in this case whereas Melodyne does the pitch correction

  • @fizemusic
    @fizemusic 6 років тому +2

    Great video friend. I have a problem, when editing a voice with Melodyne and then apply Auto - Tune, at the end of each sentence of the voice, it sounds a kind of "sound" with a kind of "tic" or annoying sparkle, and it is truly annoying, even it keeps sounding when exporting. Do you have one that could be this and how to solve it? Thank you very much.

    can you solo the vocal track when you're tuning?? It's difficult to hear the difference

    • @TrueSoundTV
      @TrueSoundTV  7 років тому +6

      Hey Fintan, yeah i might be easier to hear the tuning changes when soloed but remember it's all about how it sounds mixed into the track in the end. Often soloing a track (when mixing) makes it tough to hear how the changes mix with the instruments. Next time though i can do a soloed vocal during the video if it will help. Thanks for watching!

    • @IsshmanGarcia
      @IsshmanGarcia 4 роки тому

      You have to hit transfer button and then play vocal track so it gets recorded/transfered into Melodyne because it DOESN'T process vocals live(ie..Waves Tune Real-time or AutoTune Live) Hope this helps.

      Purchase Melodyne and autotunepro.
      But almost every DAW (digital audio workstation) has something similar to Melodyne.
      Flstudio has Newtone which sorta looks like Melodyne. These are called vsts. It’s all in the daw
