Wooo this is fantastic and long awaited news. Thank you both for jumping on it super quickly! I’m surprised by how low the income requirement is. Over the past two years, there has been speculations all over the place and some were decently high (90-100k+). The residency requirement before application submission is somewhat odd. I guess one would need to get a codice fiscale and find a landlord that would be willing to rent to someone without a job in Italy, which I hear can be very rare. We’ll see I guess.
Thank you for proving this update! I’ve been waiting years for this opportunity so I’m really excited to see it come to fruition. Keep the news coming !
So I get the skill, duration, minimum earnings, process etc. Say all the criteria’s apply, we get the VISA here in the US before showing up in Italy? Can Airbnb be a Proof of residence till we figure the right place to rent or buy? After how many years can we apply for citizenship (or is that never going to be allowed?) - just keep renewing yearly? How will taxation work? Will we need to have a local bank account and proof of earnings? Working for a corporation is one thing - how about bloggers, freelancers, UA-camrs? What are the permissions on this visa? Wish it was atleast 2 years and not 1 year. What would be the process to renew including the cost ? Can it be renewed online ? Or what office do we need to go to get this renewed ? How many days before expiration? Can we travel in and out of the country during this time?
Finally! I have been waiting for this information for years! I can’t wait until I finally need to call Marco and set up my visa :) If I heard you correctly, the DNV can be used as a way to get elective residency. Is that right?
Excellent video, you’re very thorough anticipating everyone’s questions! I have property in Italy I would be willing to rent for 6 months to 1 year to people like this. Can you advise how I should structure a rental agreement that would suit a visa applicant’s requirements that would also protect me? Or is air bnb type rental month to month likely to be acceptable? I’m aware it’s hard to get a rental agreement for less than a couple of years so hopefully I can fill a gap for these new visas.
OH! I hope they approve this digital nomad visa! I'm 2 years from retirement but have no intention of abandoning my business for many, many years! This would be perfect, and I'm about to buy another property in Italy.
Thanks for the information on the Nomad VISA. Do you have any information on where/how to apply for the digital nomad VISA in Italy? I contacted the Italian Consulate in Miami and they responded that they don't have any information on how to apply. Any information you can provide is much appreciated!
Thank you! If I receive part of the required 28K from my social security income and part of it from an employer, would I be able to qualify for the digital nomad visa?
Does anyone know where U need to apply for this visa? On the internet all information said " need to apply to the qualified office" but no one specified in which office you have to apply?! PS= is the video AI?
Hello, I have been teaching online English courses for college students in California for several years; that income is around $24,000 per year. Our rental income is around $16,000 per year, and our Social Security and Pensions are around $44,000 per year. Am I qualified for the DNV in Italy? Thank you! Dean

Amazing thank you!
Thank you Marco and Rafael. What are the rules if you are an EU citizen, but work remotely in another country?
Even given this new information, it is so much simpler to get a DNV in another country, like Croatia
Please connect me . I’m a tech remote worker and non -EU and I’m interested in working remotely from Croatia
what is the threshold if someone wants to apply with spouse?
I’m the first in the uk to have applied for the nomad visa! Waiting to hear the outcome
What are the tax implications guys, that is so important to know.
How do you lease an apartment without a visa and then how do you get a visa without the lease?
@TonyParmesano-zl6lsso you can't get a year lease without a visa but you can't get a visa without a lease is what my question is.

Not sure if I am correct but don’t think the podcast is updating on Spotify/etc last episode 121 on my review.
Is being a Digital Nomad in Italy compatible with the 100.000 euro flat tax program?
What Italian term are the media using for the digital nomad visa? I'd like to research some more on my own.

Generally you apply for a visa from that country’s consulate in your country.
