Monster hunter is a game where you can start playing early in the morning then play for one hour and suddenly it's the next month, whether that's good or bad is yet to be determined
Fr had me beating story mode in a day
Same into world not but got into and started ultimate generations went to download the dlc content and was 13+ pages of quest so once done with world gonna have alot of stuff to do in generations
@@Theblackvortex75 the monster hunter series is just a TON of stuff, thankfully it's very fun stuff, alot of people don't like games with that much content, and I kinda get what they mean it's not something you're getting through any time soon, and some people just want to have a little fun with friends, not spend 3 weeks trying to get through the massive amount of quests that monster hunter games often have, but thankfully I'm blessed to have enough free time and commitment to be able to play games for absurdly long periods of time, but yeah, moonster hoontin is fun
@@YeerVahlen yes i agree i played a bit of world but didn't get into it into it but have some free time and got back in and got hooked and such I'll be busy for awhile I've got world ice borne after that and then generations ultimate just hard to believe they have that much to do in gen ultimate but i don't mind like games i can play through for awhile or go back to plans to get rise also and they have sunbreak coming soon too so much content I'll be good for awhile lol

13:57 actually in Generations and Generations Ultimate attacking the mounted monster helps fill up the gauge, if only slightly, so feel free to spit roast the monster when someone's mounted it
it helps but the attacks dont do damage, so it is better to take the oppening to sharpen, set a trap or something like that imo

Fun fact, all the mizutsune's you fight are male, cuz usually mizu's are so chill they don't bug anybody and the guild forbids hunting them cuz of it. Then mating season rolls around and some males get aggro enough to be hunted.

Even then, the only ones getting hunted are those that stray too close to civilizations and delicate ecosystems.
Females are all brown colored instead of pink. Mizu as a species are like Peacocks where the males with the more colorful plumage/fins get chosen by the females during mating season.

Fun fact! The bubbles mizutsune produces is 100% lubericant
Another little fact about mizutsune's, most of the mizu's we hunt are males during mating season, they get too far from typical nesting areas and are unable to find a proper mate and they start to lash out and spread their bubble stuff to try an attract a mate which screws with a lot of ecological stuff
Not most, but ALL Mizutsune we hunt are male. The females are too peaceful to be hunted. They also look different, so you'd know if you accidentally hunted one and made yourself the target of every Guild Knight who's looking to shatter your skull around you.

GU is the one Monster Hunter that I never get tired of coming back to! With so much content and a still-active player base, I don't think I could ever run out of stuff to do. It's great to see it still getting the attention it deserves, I kinda figured that might happen while people were waiting on Sunbreak.
Thanks for covering this game. This game has some of my favorite memories, but I lost my DS ages ago.

Also from what I heard, The mizutsunes you hunt in MH are all Guys.
They are similar to Black Diablos. All males in heat, which makes them SUPER aggressive

That's not an opinion, that's a fact, my dude. Close to almost all the monsters in the series, 89 playstyles (14 weapons+6 Hunter Styles each+5 Prowlers), all the hub areas, Deviants and so on and forth. It is the most content rich by a country mile in the series. Just like Smash Ultimate, I sadly don't think we will see another one like GU again.
J, it's nice to see you going back and playing these classic MH's, thank you for bringing back so many memories.
Lance is actually a top three weapon in GU with the Striker mode.

Some monster hunter fun facts you may already know: you can use barrel bombs (L) against nibblesnarf, when he charges at you or attacks you from underground he eats them and explodes leaving him in the state where his head is sticking straight up. Also if you put away your weapon in this state you can fish him out of the ground.
Another fun fact is that the valor dodge doesn't actually activate a full 360° if you get hit in the back or if an attack is registered as getting hit in the back you'll take damage.
Another fun fact is that many people consider the top 3 strongest weapons are : valor longsword, valor heavy bowgun, and striker lance.
And the last fun fact is: HAMMER IS THE SICKEST, MOST ILLEST, MOST BONKTASTIC WEAPON IN THE GAME! HAMMA GANG 4 LYFE!!!

Also in Generations you can attack a monster while it's mounted, you might knock it down but that's kind of the end goal of mounting anyways
Generations Ultimate makes me realise that every monster I thought was unique to Rise... wasn't. 93 monsters in one Monster Hunter game is nuts

The story of any monster hunter game.... Is yours~ call it cheesy but beginning as a rookie to slaying literal god ass dragons but knowing every single hardship along the way.... Man. It feels really humbling to just look back on your past experiences to reminisce from whence you came.

If they took the best parts of the last 4 games and use that as the framework for the next one that would be something special

This was a no brainer for me when i got my switch.
With Gypceros you can tell if it's dead or playing possum by whether you can run through the body while it's on the ground.

Oh my god, I'll never forget this f***ing loser I got into small argument with about how Rajang would murder Senator Armstrong and the thing was, I didn't want to ruin the joke but he kept f****ing pressing me. He was so entilted.
I haven't played that game he is in so I don't know how strong he is so I can't say. Rajang is strong AF, though, that I certainly know.
But isn't Armstrong pretty much completely resistant to impact damage unless you hit a rather small weak point that is only exposed at certain times.

Tips for valor GS you don't time the counter you just have read when the monster are coming then hold the sheate button if it attack you in that state you will immediately dodge and sheate your weapons, its good for slow moving weapons

I've never seen someone struggle with Valor so much. It just feels correct. Like every weapon Valor feels good great video regardless, but it's interesting to see how you play.

You can attack while a player is mounted, it helps. The only game where it hurts is 4U.
valor style is quite simple once you get the hang of it. valor gs is easily my fave playstyle hands down.
You can fish Nibelsnarf. When he hangs his mouth open all dizzy like, put your weapon up and you should get an option to fish. Gives you a few seconds to get some free hits on him while he's stunned.
You can also use Large barrel bombs when he is charging towards you, he will swallow it and it will explode inside of it. That's always fun.

Please try Adept/Aerial Hunting Horn. Self Improvement doubles your speed and makes the Horn the fastest weapon in the game. Drilltusk Tetsucabra horn has the best songs. Psychic song shows the monster on the map. No need for paintballs or psychoserum. And negate stamina loss is fantastic, especially with Adept/Aerial.
