    I am not a huge blade fan, but would nice to see a real review of blade 100 v8.

      This one was exceptionally slow. I enjoy the lad’s content, and it’s mean to poke fun at someone’s speech, but man, it is a pain in the arse to switch it to 1.75x every single video.

    This racquet could easily be modified with some lead, right?

    Hey, I've got a question. I bought my first racket in 2016 and it was Blade 104, back then I didn't care too much about racket specification (I probably just grabbed one and it turned out to be 104) Now I would like to change it little bit not to feel what you talked about in this video - low racket head speed and some instability) I am 25, 126lbs and my level of game is intermediate. What changes can I make to this blade? Add some lead to the head?

      @Fred_P 2 роки тому +3

      You won't get any response here from the owner of this channel.
      Start by putting 4 g of lead at 12 in the head and counter balance it with 6 g in the grip. That way you increase the swing weight by 10 points and the mass of the racquet by 10 g. See if you like it, and tweak it from there.

      Dont forget about string type & string tension.
      Use control string with 55+ lbs tension.

    Harry, have you noticed anything different in recents months with the Wilson Pro Overgrips? They changed the finishing tape and perhaps the factory that makes the overgrips. I’ve noticed that it’s a little bit thinner and feels less tacky than before. I made a video about it on my TennisTalk channel but wanted to ask if you’ve experienced the same thing?

      Haven’t bought WPO recently, so will look out for these changes when my existing roll runs out. However, good news in that Dunlop Super Tac and HEAD Prime Tour are just as good as WPO.

    A couple of things here for you Harry: first, it's a tad offensive to keep referring to anything over 100 sq inches as "for women". There are numerous examples of highly skilled, male players who have used larger rackets. At age 71+, but standing 6'5' and weighing 220 lbs (and being in fairly good shape), I can swing a heavier racket with most of your viewers. However, because I play doubles and love being very active at the net, I don't want to wear glasses (and contacts just never worked for me); and because of this preference, my slowly failing hand-eye coordination gives me problems, thus I use a Head Gravity S, which is a 104" racket. Second, why no coverage of the Head Gravity S? It's always Wilson this, Ezone that, and now Babolat. C'mon Harry, if we're being honest, we all know almost everyone loves Head, no matter the size...

      So you are just insecure about your sexuality?
      It’s not that deep man. Larger heads are better for women because they can benefit with the extra power and forgiveness

      @@duebshdvddhebdh531 No comment on the gender/sexuality remarks. But, as a mid-60s women's player I appreciate hearing that a racquet may be designed to help my game. I also appreciate the OP's reluctance to play with glasses or contacts -- I'm the same way. As someone who learned the game with wood racquets, I've hesitated going to the over-100 head size, but it may be time to give it a try.

      @@gretchenlittle6817 nah I completely agree with using what works for you. It just annoys me that the man got so worked up because someone called his racquet girly. Big deal mate

    • @walterhayley7252

      My whole point is that every time Harry talks about a racket that is more than 100 sq inches, he repeats the same tired old line about it being made for women. That simply isn't true. And as far as such rackets being more powerful and more forgiving, that isn't necessarily the case either. There are many factors that go into a racket's characteristics: beam width, flex, head size, weight, balance, string patterns, and the string itself. All of these will affect how a racket plays.
      As I said, I was having a little fun with Harry, with whom I have had several short conversations, while trying to make my point. I think he will remember me well enough to know that I also played with a Yonex Regna 98. However, when some little Internet troll comes crawling out from under his mother's skirt to question me about anything, I'm going to come back firing every time, especially when his comments are unnecessarily rude. And if anyone else wants to pile on, wait around because I will get back to you...

      @@AlphaPenComputers , I'm unsure as to what your "the truth obviously hurts" refers, but I think it was directed at me. If you can listen carefully to Harry's words, please do the same when reading mine. It included play on the word "head" so as to let everyone, especially Harry, know I was half-jokingly chiding him. Otherwise, consider yourself lucky to still be able to get around a court well enough for singles. Life can change in a heartbeat...
