is there a correct height for placing the boutonniere or it is just preference? I once did it pretty at the same level as my pocket square.
I do think that that the most balance position is in the middle of the top of the tie and pocket square.

That doesn't seem safe . The sharp pin end can prick on you.
The pins are sticking out and could stab someone. I thought they were supposed to stay inside the handle of the corsage so no sharp pins are exposed. Also, this wouldn’t work for a corsage on a woman with just a shirt. The pins would totally stab her. ☹️
