- In 2009, the Rip Cirl Search was designed as a mobile event for the Peniche region, with the potential to score a variety of waves Peniche has to offer. Since then, Peniche has become a staple event in the CT calendar, principally for the heavy & fast-running barrels at supertubos.
After the successful running of Capitulo Perfeito, some of the world's best tube riders looked to double down on Sunday's barrel fest. They were naturally drawn to Carcavelos' big brother just 1hr up the coast.
Balaram Stack, Pierre Picat, Luis Perloiro, William Alioti and Pedro Boonman are just some of the names taking off on waves that might go unridden by surfers earlier this same winter.

This place is advertised on many websites! It's a mythical place in Portugal. National championships are held there, but it will never cease to be a locals spot @@iblong9505
