Love watching Bernie having FUN! That's what music is about! RIP, buddy! (He chatted with me through FB about a year before his death - blew my mind - this lineup will always be my favorite!)
What is amazing is that David Coverdale still sings with the same wonderful insane intestity! Neil Murray is a brilliant bass player 👏, , Mick Moody just awesome 👌 this line up was hard to beat. Real nostalgia here. Love this band❣
When was the last time you saw Whitesnake, Sue? DC's voice had been shot for at least 15 years before he finally retired from the road. He was a far cry from this even 20 years ago when he first put a new WS together.
Pretty sure Paice wasn't on this one. He didn't come in until Ready an Willing. This was Dave Dowle. Yes that looks like Paice in the video but this is a music video so they aren't actually playing and Coverdale is lip synching, Dowle was the drummer as far as I know.
Deine richardsun That's because Whitesnake has been around since the 70s. I think Davide Coverdale's first solo album after Deep Purple fell apart when guitarist Tommy Bolin died of a drug overdose was called North Winds. Believe that was 1975 or 1976. The album David Coverdale White Snake was next and then the next album, Trouble, David's band became called Whitesnake. 77 or 78. So...about 40 years ago now. If you've only been a fan for 27 years, since 1991? Dood, you've missed a whole lot of great albums by Whitesnake. :-) Nice thing about UA-cam? You can catch up on what you missed. You have 13 years of great hard rock to catch up on, dood. Have fun. (Just don't expect anything like the 80s hair metal that John Sykes ushered in when he joined the band for the 1987 eponymous album. Slide It In gets closer to that and you can hear the band heading into even harder rock terrain but keyboards were still a fairly prominent fixture. By the time 87 dropped, keyboards were all but buried in the mix. Don Airey and Bill Cuomo played some keys on that album but keys tended to be a much more prominent fixture during the ballads like Is This Love and the more up-tempo Here I Go Again, which David has recorded at least three or four versions of.)
I've been a big Whitesnake fan since 1979 and always loved this song, but this is the first time I've ever seen the video, so big thank you for uploading it.
un tipo para sacarse el sombrero hizo lo que quiso y se convirtio en un inigualable sin ningunada duda todo mi respeto a este señor con todas las letras a y gracias por todo lo que hizo por el rock
Love this video. David oozes charisma. The rest of the band looks like they would rather be any place else. Be careful boys. Keep up this attitude and you may be replaced!
@theplanetking I mean we need a reunion of this line up * David Coverdale - vocals * Micky Moody - guitars * Bernie Marsden - guitars * Jon Lord - keyboards * Neil Murray - bass * Ian Paice - drums
Portcullis Quite right,, first 4 albums were bluesy gold, keep the hairspray days, poor by comparison. Moody,Marsden, , Lord ,Paice, Murray and Mr C. Great albums , you prob already have Northwinds album , if not ,check it out . Cheers T
@@portcullis5622 Agreed. The pretentious poodle stuff was terrible, and sold like hotcakes. I've never been a fan of Coverdale rehashing songs every few years to 'modernize' them.
Coverdale had one of the most soulful voices in rock, listen to his Nothwinds album , any blues/ rock enthusiast will be better for the experience, yes some of his lyrics were cringeworthy on later Whitesnake albums ,however difficult to fault Blindman ,ain’t no love and many other songs. I remember Miss Nightingale ripping into him in a Sounds interview, she was clearly not enamoured with the Lovehunter album cover , can’t think why? Bernie Marsden is still performing In his own right and has supported Jst recently, his voice is still great , check out his solo albums “ About time too “ and Shine, He also has a Bernie plays Rory cd which is also fantastic. Keep rocking brothers and sisters.
ted ritola Hi Ted Thanks for the response, please check out the Northwinds album, really soulful, I lost interest in the later Whitesnake offerings, The trouble, ready and willing , come an get it and lovehunter albums are when they were at their pomp. Moody,Marsden ,Murray , Paice , Lord and Mr C was the definitive bluesy lineup, saw whitesnake me think in 78 at Manchester Apollo, support was Magnum , they were great , but Whitesnake were awesome, Jon Lord solos were extraordinary. Keep rocking brothers and sisters.
Great. It's the band. Not Coverdale and some invited musicians (you understand me, right?). The sound, the vocal and nice back-vocals help. Oh, and melody... It's the BAND...
I recall buying the single when it came out, it was the first time I'd heard Whitesnake and remember thinking there was substance to the band and the music, much more so than other bands coming through at this point although I didn't think it was going to be a hit. Clearly the band weren't taking it as seriously as DC here though, I wonder if they got a telling off afterwards!
The best era and line up of Whitesnake by a million miles. Proper classic blues rock.
The Real Whitesnake !!
RIP Bernie 😢🥃
Love watching Bernie having FUN! That's what music is about! RIP, buddy! (He chatted with me through FB about a year before his death - blew my mind - this lineup will always be my favorite!)
The way he touches the mic... he is THE MAN. He is THE ROCKSTAR.... He drives me crazy.....totally....

Real nostalgia here. Love this band❣
totally agree..saw them this year
You`re kidding, his voice is completely shot now.
Have you heard the way he sings now
When was the last time you saw Whitesnake, Sue? DC's voice had been shot for at least 15 years before he finally retired from the road. He was a far cry from this even 20 years ago when he first put a new WS together.
He sings nothing like this these days😅
What a bass player. Reminds me of Andy Frazer. You have my respect mr Murray
Proper whitesnake.... Proper British blues/rock
The classic line up. Great album and artwork, Lovehunter.
Best whitesnake line up by far.
What a great talent David is! This is one my favorite songs of theirs.
Loverhunter and Ready 'n' Willing, best albums IMHO.
DAVID COVERDALE,EL PRIVILEGIO DE TENER UNA GRAN VOZ¡¡¡
Paice and Murray.. What a tight performance
Pretty sure Paice wasn't on this one. He didn't come in until Ready an Willing. This was Dave Dowle. Yes that looks like Paice in the video but this is a music video so they aren't actually playing and Coverdale is lip synching, Dowle was the drummer as far as I know.
Huge Whitesnake fan forever, had no idea there was a "video" for this song. Righteous!
I have been a fan 27 years I have Never Seen this!

😀🖐🏻🤝🏻🥁🤘🏻✌️🏻
Good vibe, but not lovin the generic lyrics. Nice to watch the hotness, tho!
David Coverdale..there is no one like him.
the best whitesnake line -up ever !!!
Micky Moody rocks in this video!!! 😅
Otherwise - this is the real Whitesnake! Years 1978-1982. Love them!
Love Hunter..one of the best Whitesnake's album 👌🎸🎵🎤
Now we're such a lon' way from our 70s Rock Home.....
🥁🤘🏻✌️🏻
A lovely song from 1979, opening "Love Hunter" album.
Coverdale, Lord, Paice (DP) and the other big guys (Marsden, Moody and that great bass Murray)
Interesting because Paice didn't play on the Album
God bless Uncle Bernie wherever you are now those were the days man♥️♥️♥️
This man is timeless. His style has always continued and remained in these 3 decades
Which one?
great sound, and great voice !!!

La mejor formación de whitesnake? Para mi gusto si. Cómo se extraña al gran Jon Lord!!! Cómo sonaba esta versión de la banda!
Love the early Whitesnake the classic line up
always been a huge DC fan.

Best line up!
Well...since Jon Lord passed away, he can't be there. But I fully agree.
Cracking stuff from the best Whitesnake line-up of them all!
Dave Smale your kidding me. No way this is the best line up. Don't know what's up with u.
@@marthamendoza8640 Try listening to the music. It was all downhill from around 1984.

Actually this is a pretty good song. He should have released this as the single on the 89 album instead of Fool For Your Lovin.
Amazing bass line. What a groove!
What a bass guitar he is playing? Looks like strat bass:)
@@donDonau I have never seen one of them before, I am intrigued
It's good to hear it again 👍🎶
O melhor de todos os vocalistas do rock
David Coverdale, Ian paice, Jon lord, Neil Murray, Bernie Marsden, Micky moody woooooow A selection of talents

Incredible
It's so cool to see Whitesnake younger (I listen to the 1987 album a lot so I don't listen to much Whitesnake a lot apart from the 80's)
Yessss,cool🤟✌️💪❤️🎶
David Coverdale and Whitesnake 👍❤🎶🎸
Just been reading Bernie Marsdens book, there's quite a funny anecdote to this video, funny, great song from a great band
Just love the sound of Bernies 1959 Gibson Les Paul, yum!
Love these guys and specially this album 💜🤘🎶
Best 'Snake line-up by far :-)
Lo mejor de whitesnake !!!
Ese tipo Coverdale, simplemente el rey *-*
Awesome David...
Tenía solo doce años cuando compré Burn, desde ese momento admiré a David Coverdale. Hoy tengo cincuenta y dos y no hay mejor cantante para mí
Creo que en Whitesnake canta mejor que cuando estaba en Deep Purple.

Loving it so much!!!
This is fascinating to see when compared to the lineup in '87.
1:21 Micky Moody's imaginary tremolo bar :)
Hahahahahha Hella funny
One of my favorites
Спасибо.
Davide Coverdale its great. Love songs. Czech republic.
David en sus mejores años... 🤤
the real whitesnake
Sublime
David Coverdale is the only one who takes the video seriously
He thought he's in concert
coz he is in front and dont see the play around happening
I think he prefers it that way. In his mind he's the only one looking cool for chicks and that's just fine with him.
Neil Murray does it too
Sebastian Arriagada fuck...its sooo true man...i watch this video hundred of times and dont realize this fact...haha...very good
David 🔥
period !
Neil Murray is almost a teenager here!!
0:40 to 0:43 - awesome!
taks for ju taks for tini video
taks for muzik for mhi 😘😘😘😘😘😘
Could just as easily be a song by Smokie. I like this period of Whitesnake but it is easy to see why it leaves some metal-heads cold.
Beautiful men specially the handsome singer 😍❤️😘
Cool Stratocaster bass!
