I'm very happy to see this game getting rereleased on modern platforms. It's such an underrated gem from the Nintendo DS era. I'm glad more people finally get to experience it!
Hopefully capcom release battle network transmission on switch too.

One of the best games of DS (if not THE best) I've ever played. Such nice story, with huge plot twists. I felt like I was watching an anime. If you never played.... Just go for it!

Do yourself a favour and play this game. It's so good. The story is deep, the characters are amazing, the humor is some of the best I've laughed at in a game, and the gameplay is tight. Honestly a very solid experience.

It’s a good game but no, sorry, the story is not deep.
Every Ace Attorney fan owes it to themselves (and Shu Takumi) to play this game. Beautiful visuals, great story, deep characters, challenging puzzles and the best dog in gaming
I am genuinely impressed with Shu Takumi's skill of the english language. He is amazing.
What a wonderful man he is! He doesn't know english, so he memorized this script just because he thought it'd reach a broader audience! He really loves his game

@@__G___Thank you for letting me know this was on gamepass, i'm hesitant to recommend this to you again since i don't think this plays as well on a controller rather than a touch screen, if you can get in on mobile you should def give it a try again
Shu Takumi was so adorable in this presentation, and clearly so proud of this game and the work they did on the port! I'm so happy for him and the team, I hope it sells well! I played the first and remember loving it, but it has been so long I forget all the details, so I will be happy to relive it on the Switch now! :)

Just goes to show how far this man is willing to go for his creation, I guess he also cares about this game because he payed homage to his now dead dog on it :')
I think the effort he put in this presentation alone should be enough to at least give the demo version a chance =^_^=

Shu Takumi just feels like a guy who genuinely loves the medium of visual novel video games. He just feels so passionate about everything he does & he could probably retire if he really wanted to, but he doesn't. We should all try to be a little bit more like Shu Takumi
Can we also talk about how excellent his English was? As a Japanese learner, I can't help but admire the amount of work it takes to cross this particular language barrier. It *also* says a lot about how excited he is to share his creation with us. Conventional wisdom would have been to do a dubover, but he specifically chose to communicate using his own words despite knowing that his diction won't quite be native-level.
Bravo Shu-sensei -- I was already a fan and now you've gone and inspired me in an entirely different way. ❤
I think the craziest part is he doesn't even know English! He asked for a script in english and he put all his effort into practicing and learning the rhythm and pronunciation of it all. He did all this just because he heard there were more english speakers watching his presentation, I think that should speak volumes about how much he cares about his game
Reasons to play ghost trick:
-It's made by Shu Takumi, if you like any ace attorney game then you'll definitely enjoy the tone of the game
-The creator of the game put his late dog in the game and basically turned him into the hatchiko of videogames
-Toby Fox likes that game (of course he does, he has good taste after all)
-Great soundtrack (you can choose between the original and the arranged versions on the remaster!)
-Top tier characters. Especially their designs
-It has a good plot twist that doesn't come out of nowhere,the game has good foreshadowing and build-up
-You'll become a walking advertisement for the game once you play it. Just look at me!
Sorry for copying this comment everywhere, I just played this game and I feel like it broadened my horizons to what a videogame can be and I wish more people got to play it! I like how it's basically a light visual novel disguised as a puzzle game
Got really interested on the game due to a friend who played the original being so excited when they announced it. Played the demo and loved it. An absolute most-buy for me

One of my favourite games, and among the best stories I have ever seen or read in any medium. Loveable characters, a great script, and some truly brilliant twists.
I have already played this game in multiple formats, but I will be more than happy to buy and play it on Switch as well, because it’s just that good.

Yes, the gameplay is just really unique and there really isn't anything like it out there, I've enjoyed that immensely. On top of that the story is absolutely mind-blowing, still one of the greatest I've seen to this day.
The whole package together makes for something super memorable and something I still hold really close to my heart I honestly don't think anything could ever top this for me
@@TheMadCroctor I can understand you my favorite game of all time Shadow of the Colossus for the same reasons. Nothing is so unique and the game play is just different. It's not the game at the piece of art
I think it's really funny how different games can be someone's favorite for the same reasons. This is why I like both Ghost trick and the first Drakengard so much despite them being opposites in tone and gameplay 😅

I honestly think this is one of the best puzzle games ever made and am really glad they released a demo I can share with my friends! Enjoyed this video and seeing the creator for the first time.

I can't tell you how happy it both makes me to see one of my favorite games of all time getting re-released, and seeing the original director talk about in my native language. Such an unbelievably creative/unique game, paired with one of the best stories in any medium I've encountered. Truly an all time classic that I can't wait to share with my wife and daughter on the big screen.
Finished the demo and absolutely love it, can't wait for the end of the month!!

Or maybe a spiritual sequel that takes place in the same universe and follows an entirely different cast of characters
One of the very best games ever made and it's an absolute tragedy in itself that it not only took this long to get rereleased and recognised more, but that the talent behind it only made this in addition to 15 Ace Attorney games. A waste of talent, because this game again, came out 16 years ago now and none I've ever played have been consistently this brilliant across the board. Just buy it.
True, and imo it's even better than most Ace Attorney games by just how solid it is in how it presents and unravels the mystery
It's genuinely upsetting to me how so few people actually played this game, I don't believe Ghost Trick needs to be a series, but the fact that such an innovative concept (for the time) was relegated to obscurity in favor of well-established franchises makes me think people were not willing to try something fresh and new, and I think that's bad for the gaming industry
Imagine how many new games didn't make it to production because the company in charge didn't want to risk another "Ghost Trick". I know it's not the only game that was ignored/disliked by the public because they didn't even give it a chance but I think it's a really good example

Ghost Trick was my 3rd fave game from the DS (First Kirby Super Star Ultra, Second Crash of the Titans).
Ghost Trick is the only game I played from 10 pm to 7am

The best Shu Takumi game imo. I love Ace Attorney but I love Ghost Trick more somehow. And that's after being an AA fan for a *much* longer time

Ghost Trick is an underrated DS gem, I'm glad to see more people having the chance to play it now with this remaster. I'd highly recommend at least trying out the demo if you're unsure.

This game blew my mind when I was in middle school. I always played it on the bus every morning on the way to school. It's such an underrated gem. Amazing world and charming characters, phenomenal story. If you missed this back in the day you owe it to yourself to play this one. It will not disappoint!

i never played or knew about this game until last night when i played the demo and its actually pretty good i liked it alot
I remember being sold on the DS release after playing the downloadable demo from the Nintendo Channel on the Wii - it’s great to see that they’re doing that again with the Switch. For any who haven’t played it, it’s an incredible game and a must-play.

I always wanted to play this game - I missed it when it first came out! Can’t wait to try it. Also Shu Takumi’s practice paid off - his English was really good!

When I got this game on the original Nintendo DS right near the end of the DS's life cycle at the 3DS was coming in this with the DS game I put more hours in than even all the other DS games that I had much longer and you think would have had more play time attached to it.
In other words, I played the heck out of this game over and over and over and never got tired of it. The story, the character, the mysteries, the gameplay, the music, the animation, the theme: to me It is all perfect with a few little tough spots here and there, but once you figure out the tough spots you know exactly what you're doing on a later playthough
Yeeeees! Did not expect this to ever be released, especially as a lot of the mechanics were based around using the stylus/touch screen on the DS
This game is very special to me and I'm so happy it's getting a re-release
game might be a bit short but you have to experience it. Trust me it's excellent

Wowee, that reminds me of the time I spent a whole weekend getting some R and R and rest and relaxation, or the time me and my friends played Halo Co-Op together cooperatively
I hihgly enjoyed the ace attaterny games when I played them. Never got a chance to play this in it's original run but loving the concept. So happy to see it getting ported onto the Switch though. Might give it a try.

Of all the wonderful games Shu Takumi has made, I believe this is his magnum opus. And considering the incredible quality of 2021's Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, that is HIGH praise.
