Ghost Trick is one of those games I would pay a lot of money to erase my memories of to be able to experience the twists and turns for the first time again. PLEASE buy this game, it's so good.
Ghost Trick is literally one of the best games I've ever played, it's a rube Goldberg machine in gameplay and in plot, with every single piece always in motion and perfectly placed, all the rules defined and explored. It's simply freaking amazing.

@@stormy_does_stuff Oh cool, I hadn't heard of that one so I went and looked it up. It's got similarities for sure, the difference here is that you don't place objects yourself, you're presented with a scenario littered with objects and have to kind of "hop" from object to object, possessing them and manipulating them in the correct ways to traverse the level and solve puzzles.
The kicker is that you have a limited reach from the object you're possessing and can only reach things nearby, and there's a time limit to solve each murder before as events play out in real-time in the level. Luckily there's checkpoints, and levels can be retried an infinite number of times. Also there are no bad endings, it's a tightly woven narrative with no branches to dead end on.
Most won’t know this until they play it through to the end, but this game is a contender for best written story in a video game ever.
Yeah and that ending brought tears to my eyes.

Finally! I was hoping I wouldn't have to she'll out $150 to play this on the DS. I hear there's a puzzle that requires a folding screen though. I wonder how the switch will handle that.

This game is a marvel of storytelling. If you like Ace Attorney or just dig well crafted mysteries, I can't recommend this enough!

I grew up with this game and to finally see it come back is so thrilling.
Also, for anyone who likes Ace Attorney. You might find this game interesting since they are from the same creators.
Serious note; they NEED to do a crossover game between this and PW. It would work SO WELL (And wouldn't be out of place for either game; the characters would naturally gel and Phoenix Wright doesn't shy from the supernatural)

I mean heck they made a PW x Prof Layton work I'm sure they could with Ghost Trick in some way
My favorite part of this game was revisiting every area each time you fast travel, there's some great small dialogue changes through the game
The tiny details that makes the world feel so much more alive..!
Also being able to go places that dont really have anything going on yet like the and the restaurant where you cant do anything but just hearing the music makes you want to play more so you can get there ( especially the justice minister. Just seeing him sitting there with his theme playing just felt so grand like the scope of the game was suddenly way bigger
You're right, every time I make my way back to a phone, I keep re-visiting all the locations I can just to see if there's a little extra bits of dialogue. I do know that once you reach one of the final chapters you will no longer be able to freely move between locations for the rest of the game

Absolutely baffled, confounded, and amazed that they brought this game back. Maybe there's hope for a return to Hotel Dusk or Another Code, maybe even Trauma Center.
The only trauma center game I played is trauma team on the Nintendo Wii. I especially loved Naomi's style of gameplay solving a murder mystery like a point and click adventure game.

GHOST TRICK MY BELOVED
Not only does this game have an incredible story, it also has one of the best (and possibly my personal favorite) soundtrack of any game ever. If you haven’t played it and it looks interesting, I highly recommend it

This game is criminally underrated. It’s a crime that it didn’t get much recognition when it came out-
I discovered Ghost Trick as a teen from an underrated DS game list, and it truly is a gem of a game that honestly isn't talked about enough. I can't wait to replay it all over again, and I'm hoping it being on the Switch will make it more accessible to modern audiences! Please give this game a chance!
Words can't describe how hard I popped off when I saw this. This is one of my favorite games of all time, I PRAY that this port makes it more well known. Probably some of the tightest, most satisfying writing I've ever seen in a video game. Every plot twist is foreshadowed excellently and there's almost no plot holes to speak of, plus the puzzles are fantastic. I'm so so so happy about this.
Was worried this great game would be left behind. Glad Capcom took the success of the Ace Attorney ports well to port Ghost Trick.

As someone who only *recently* witnessed this game in full, it is so worth your time to play! It's amazing in gameplay, characters, and especially in story. It's one of those truly special games that doesn't come around very often. It has a cult following for a reason

Singlehandedly the BEST announcement from the direct! I thought Capcom wouldn't ever bat an eye at it again but I am so glad to be wrong! Absolutely underrated game with one of the best stories ever, which is only fitting coming from the devs of Ace Attorney. It's a joy to see this game break free from the DS and I ask of anyone who's passing by this comment section to pick it up. It's a bit hard to explain why this game is so good without spoiling damn near everything so just trust me and get it, you'll love it.

Shu Takumi's magnum. Huge recommendation if you have even a passing interest in the Ace Attorney series.
This game has been on my backlog so long that it finally got a rerelease. Guess I have to play it now.
I work at mcdondalds and hide under the food prep area sometimes taking fries and sandwiches and no one sees me. Sometime I come to work on my day off to "check schedule"" and end up hiding in the place all night sneak eating
The music is so nostalgic
There are many creative and unique games locked away on the DS, it is great they have started porting more of them. It will be interesting to see how the controls will compare between this new port and the original.

Just me trust me on this: buy this game, go in blind, and you will have one of the best experiences of any story, ever. It’s just that good, and has so many great twists that would truly be a shame to have spoiled.

Just finished this remastered version the other day and oh my god. It’s so good. I’d vaguely heard it was good before, and decided I would try out the remaster, and I am SO GLAD. I can’t explain it fully without spoilers but this game is so so good. There’s so many twists and turns and it’s a very very fun ride. Go play it

Was glad to see this in the direct, was thinking of picking this up on the DS soon. If this remaster ends up being solid this is a much easier pickup for me.
Minor gripe with this trailer though, I certainly hope they don't think that sliding tile puzzles are enticing new content. Just feels like weird thing to go "but wait there's more!" about and end the trailer with.
