So when I’m in a store and I can’t find something, I’ll open up the app for whatever store I’m at, set the location and I’ll search what I’m looking for then it’ll tell you what aisle it’s on!! Been such a life/time saver so many times!!
I also do this. Also when I’m buying something that’s super unique or maybe we don’t buy often, I will look at the app and find the aisle number. Then on our grocery list, I’ll list the item and aisle number. In the heat of it with a kid, it helps ALOT!
Quick tip for finding stuff at the stores that may help someone: get the app for the store and you can search for the item and find out the aisle it’s in. This is also very helpful when going to a different store location and the layout is different. Also, I know the Walmart and Target app you can scan an item to price check if you can’t find the price. I’ve used both many times. Very helpful!
For pesto - the fresh kind where the fresh pasta is (Rana is the brand I typically buy) is FAR superior to the jarred stuff. It’s actually bright green and so fresh tasting! Obviously can’t be stored long, but if you are using in a recipe right away, it’s definitely the way to go!
One of my favorite kind of videos from you. Changing your mind about dessert several times is so relatable lol, the bakery section has that effect on us lol. Such a joy to watch :)
I love you having this portion of the video planning your week of meals. It gives me ideas when I do my weekly planning. This week is shepherds pie with green beans as a side, Enchiladas, Tacos and Chili
I just made pickled red onions for taco bowls and omg why have I never made pickled red onions before?! It was so easy and definitely elevated the bowls.
The Aldi by me removes the empty boxes so frequently that none are ever left! I feel like Aldi used to always stack them up for customers near the checkout but they stopped!
Also you can keep an empty box in your trunk if you have space so then if you forget bags or the store doesn’t have boxes you’re still able to bring groceries back without them spilling all over the trunk :)
You should look up "pea pesto". It's a super easy way to make pesto at home, it's a great way to extra veggies, and my kids love it. I make it with tortellini and extra peas. All in one pot!
Jess I needed this “recipe treasure trove” from you! We are in the same boat I was looking for easy crock pot meals yesterday ! Also I have loved everything you have suggested in the past and linked so I’m excited for these!!!!
Jess! I am a big Aldi fan, they usually have pesto next to the pasta, usually on the shelf bellow the pasta sauce. They also usually carry powdered ranch dressing, usually is next to the salad dressings/honey/jam isle 😊
Okay- cannot wait for the next vlog! I HAVE to know how the pesto ranch chicken orzo 😂 is!! So excited for this type of content from you! 👏 Happy belated birthday!! I hope it was amazing! 🎉
Did anyone else feel confused for a sec when Jess said Bobotie, thinking she was talking about Boba Tea? 😂 I was like, huh, ok, never heard of homemade boba tea before but cool.
Love the recipe inspo! Cold midwest winters are the best time for a pot pie, so I am looking forward to seeing these meals in the next vlog. I'm going to plan to make that next week for my family. This week we've got three Hello Fresh meals and one night I'm eating out with friends.
Hi Jess Not sure whether you'll ever see this message but I just watched your latest meal prepping vlog and just really wanted to recommend you Rukmini Iyer's cookbooks. They are really loved in the UK and Europe. She started with "The Roasting Tin" series, all basically one pan dinners for the oven. Really simple and healthy. I'd recommend The Quick Roasting Tin and The Green Roasting Tin bit she has many others. If you get to try her recipes I hope you'll like them! Best wishes from Switzerland!
Definitely love these videos! I only cook for myself and always need quick, easy recipes. I still go back and refrence your tomato greens and chickpea skillet video all the time.
I am from Windsor ont Canada and love heading over to aldi as has so many more vegan options ! I am making zucchini muffins for grab and go option .. I love them ❤
Jess, next time you have to try their spinach artichoke dip in frozen foods. It’s made with good ingredients and I definitely think you guys will like it. They had it in my store before Christmas, but sold out of it. 6 weeks later, it’s back at my store. I picked up 1 to try, and gonna go back tomorrow for a few more. (It’s that good, $7.99 so NOT cheap imo) I’m talking about ALDIs. I definitely want to try some of your recipes this week, and tyfs!
The way I'd have NO willpower to put that dessert trio back, it's one of my faves, sure it's not needed for tonight BUT the next 2 nights🤤, brekky treats maybe, hmmm🤔🫣😂.
I live in Rhode Island. Our ranch packets are in the section with the Different seasonings like garlic powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper etc). They then have all the seasoning packets next to it. Also I need to visit a Meijer. It looks like it has everything you can think of under one roof!!! Love it. Xo
You inspire me to try new recipes all the time, and I really appreciate it. Our kitchen remodel is almost done, and we are SOOOO ready to get back to home cooked meals. Lol...when you saw the eggs in your recipe book.😂 11 Degrees?! Holy icicles❄ It's back in the 70's down here at Disney.
Tonight's dinner at my house is a similar kind of meal. 2lbs chicken breast, packet of taco seasoning, 16oz jar of salsa, juice of two limes, and 1/3 cup chopped cilantro. 3-4 hrs on high, or 6-7 hrs low. Remove chicken and shred. Then mix with some or all of the sauce from the crockpot. Great as tacos or a Burrito bowl.
Bobotie is a South African dish (Cape Malay specifically). Not sure if your book said that but we eat it with something called "Yellow rice" which is rice cooked with turmeric, cinnamon, sugar and raisins. You can also Google Lentil Bobotie if you want more legumes.

Costco has the best pesto! The Kirkland brand one
I originally came to your videos for the makeup, but now I enjoy these meal planning, food shopping videos even more!!!
So when I’m in a store and I can’t find something, I’ll open up the app for whatever store I’m at, set the location and I’ll search what I’m looking for then it’ll tell you what aisle it’s on!! Been such a life/time saver so many times!!
I just ask someone ....There is always a store employee loading a shelve ... !!!
i use the app also! makes it so easy. 😂
I was just going to say this! Works so good!
I also do this. Also when I’m buying something that’s super unique or maybe we don’t buy often, I will look at the app and find the aisle number. Then on our grocery list, I’ll list the item and aisle number. In the heat of it with a kid, it helps ALOT!
Same. Some different store locations have different products too, very helpful😄
I love content like this! It helps with meal planning inspo!
Me too!! Glad it helps! 😊
How come I hate meal planning but here I am enjoying watching you meal plan? 😂
😂🤣

Happy Belated Birthday Jess! Hope you had a wonderful day!! ❤
Jess, I love any videos you do but these vlog-y types are my fave!
18:30 at Aldi the dry ranch is in the salad dressing aisle, for the future, I buy it there all the time.
I love a chore chat/shop with me video because I am usually watching you while I’m doing chores or cooking dinner! 🫶🏻
You should do a Jessie day!!! Bookstore, coffee, and one other store! 📖📚
Love these vlogs Jess, you are such a happy and positive person, you so brighten my day!
I love your laugh and your personality 😂
One of my favorite kind of videos from you. Changing your mind about dessert several times is so relatable lol, the bakery section has that effect on us lol. Such a joy to watch :)
I love you having this portion of the video planning your week of meals. It gives me ideas when I do my weekly planning. This week is shepherds pie with green beans as a side, Enchiladas, Tacos and Chili
Beans being right across toilet paper just makes the most sense!😂
I just made pickled red onions for taco bowls and omg why have I never made pickled red onions before?! It was so easy and definitely elevated the bowls.
Loved this type of video Jess! Please continue sharing more of them and I hope you’ll show us these meals when you cook them 😉💕
I love your funny sense of humor! You are so very relatable too, as a busy working mom, getting meals for your family and such! ❤
Dont mind me Jessica, just catching up with you! also, congrats to almost reaching 670k subbies! You totally deserve it!!
It is so fun to watch someone else grocery shop and the thought process!
Whenever I forget my bags for Aldi I always grab an empty box off the shelf!
The Aldi by me removes the empty boxes so frequently that none are ever left! I feel like Aldi used to always stack them up for customers near the checkout but they stopped!
I was coming to say the same thing. We pretty well always use a box on the shelf
Also you can keep an empty box in your trunk if you have space so then if you forget bags or the store doesn’t have boxes you’re still able to bring groceries back without them spilling all over the trunk :)
Completely agree with you about meal planning. I find in depth meal planning not only ensures we eat healthier but also saves us a fortune! 💙👏🏻
You should look up "pea pesto". It's a super easy way to make pesto at home, it's a great way to extra veggies, and my kids love it. I make it with tortellini and extra peas. All in one pot!
This was so relatable! I loved this!!
Yes please, I love these kinds of videos with the recipes you add for us, thank you.❤❤❤
That’s really funny that the beans and tp are together. At my Meijer, we have tp and coffee 😂
I loved this video especially when you were trying to decide what treat to buy and then you had put it back. So funny.

Lol! I love your last decision with the lemon bars, that multi pack is perfect!

Love the meal planning and grocery shopping! And ALDI and Meijer are my two weekly stores I shop at!
Love your facial expression when you said, “sweet treat”. Happy Birthday 🎉!
At the end of the video, I was just starring at your eyes, the two tones in your eye colour look sooo pretty!!!! I never noticed it before 🥰
Love the recipe inspo! Cold midwest winters are the best time for a pot pie, so I am looking forward to seeing these meals in the next vlog. I'm going to plan to make that next week for my family.

Yes, meal planning etc, is kind of a painful thing for me, so I appreciate doing it with you. Thank you.
I swear we could be bestfriends we have so much in common 😂❤
Beans next to the toilet paper - hysterical!!!!
A good crock pot one is creamy chicken stuffing with green beans. It’s a full meal . Great with a side of biscuits.

More meal plan/shooping content. I’m a SAHM and I feel like my life revolves around the kitchen making food for my family
The dessert saga at Meijer genuinely cracked me up 😂
Ditto-been there,done that for sure.
Yes more like this. Also you are a better person than me for putting the dessert back 😅
I love these style of videos!! I can’t wait to see some of the recipes you made.
My favorite videos are the vlogs. So fun!
Love any vlog you put out!
A good crockpot meal is poor man’s stew. Very easy and very good. That salmon with the herbs at Aldi is delicious.
Ranch packets! We always mix those with plain Greek yogurt for veggie dip through the week :) 🤓
I love costco pesto. I freeze it in smaller amounts because I know I won't use it all by the date.
The Sheetpan Cashew Chicken in Everyday Dinners is delicious! I like to make it with cauliflower rice instead of regular rice
Jess, next time you have to try their spinach artichoke dip in frozen foods. It’s made with good ingredients and I definitely think you guys will like it. The Costco pesto is sooooo good
Here in the UK Aldi’s best pesto is made with olive oil and all good ingredients. 👍🏻
Oh how unusual and wonderful! I’ve managed to find your blog so near to reaching my UA-cam feed! Thanks for excellent uplifting content. Xxx

You in the bakery section is me trying to decide what can I get that everyone will enjoy haha

Fellow South African following, Jess.❤
I shop at Meijer too! We love the 7up cake. Light and airy and hits the sweet spot.
I loveeee these types of videos!!
Hi 👋 Jessica !! Many blessings to you guys
Right back atcha! :)
@ thank you 🙏 I never miss your guy’s vlogs and podcast
As a Canadian, I’m always surprised to see how much less expensive your food prices are, even though I know it’s higher for you guys as well.
