Hi Amy, I just found your channel a few weeks ago and love your content! I’m a fair bit older than you - early fifties and have decided this is the year I’m going to take my health more seriously. Your content, especially “what you eat in a day” has been so helpful! I do not need to lose weight but I do need to make exercise and nutrition a priority, especially since being diagnosed with osteopenia. I’m determined to take control of this and reverse it through exercise, diet and supplements. Thank you so much for the inspiration you provide! You seem like such a genuine person.
I fully believe in getting enough protein daily and I think it really does make a difference in our bodies. I have been putting Collagen Protein powder in my coffee or tea every morning for 5 years and I truly think it’s helped in the aging process for me. I like to boil a few eggs each morning and grab and eat one throughout the day when I feel a twinge of hunger and I like to end the day with a fully packed protein supper then a bowl of Greek yogurt with dark chocolate chips that I mix and place in the freezer for 1 hour, it’s the best “ice cream” ever! This routine has helped me maintain the same weight for years now and my Dr is amazed at this. Our health is our responsibility and should be our priority in my opinion. Just a reminder that coffee is a diuretic and causes dehydration, and muscles dont work as well when dehydrated and skin cells dry out.....and also we need meat based protien to build our muscles and brain cells...beef and wild fish....as it contains the enzymes required for cellular growth. Amy! Oh my gosh. I started doing carnivore and tomorrow will be one solid week of being very strict. I’m not noticing a lot of changes right now and I’ve had no energy. I realize you’re not carnivore but I just had to tell you that this way of eating is about to take me out lol. I don’t enjoy it but I’m highly addicted to sugar and carbs so I decided to try this cold turkey and it is terrible lol. Your way of eating looks so much better. Have you tried carnivore yourself? Any tips?
Hi! I have not. I try to focus more on adding nutrition, rather than focusing so much on what I’m removing. Every body is so different, you just have to find what works best and feels right for you😊
