Spoken with love- gentle reminder that a lot of us don’t have giant pantries… I think all of us see social media and maybe think it’s the norm- you and us included- but it’s normal and Ok to live in an apartment or smaller house or not have a pantry. (I don’t.) So don’t feel like you’re not doing ok or enough if you don’t- and we appreciate seeing real idea and solutions of all sizes! Especially those of use who live in expensive cities. ❤❤❤ Long time fam here.
Yep! I live in an apartment with hardly any cabinet space. I repurposed most of my coat closet to be a pantry because I stock up at Costco and when stuff is on sale. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine.
Also, I know it's kind of a small thing and a cute story you were sharing about your kiddo, but it really touched my heart that you heard "I want three ponytails" and you did it for her, and then let her decide if she liked it or not. It would have been the "easy" thing to do and say "no, you'll look silly" or "no, you won't like it." However, your kids will remember those small moments where you gave them the freedom to try things and decide for themselves. Especially at such a young age, I think it's easy for people to forget that even children can make choices and that they are their own people, not just extensions of their parents.
If she’s climbing out of the crib, the safest solution is to switch to a toddler bed or floor bed, baby proof the room, and then put up a baby gate so she can’t get out of the room! Plus of course have a monitor so you can come get her if needed.
Ah as a 50 year old in uk I think we were always told if your kid can climb out its then time to get a bed and a stair gate on the top of the stairs is the better option as once they know they can climb out they will so it’s more dangerous ! I think my daughter put her son in a bed from 2 because of this but I’m so interested to see how this goes and comments how to solve it. Good luck always a project with the kids 😅
We use the Hatch sound machine. When it’s red “ we stay in bed” when it’s green “we can be seen”. We also have a baby gate in from of his door so he can only be out in his room not the whole house.
My 2 year old twins were absolutely unstoppable with getting out of their cribs. We tried everything, including the mattress on the floor (they tunneled out). Our pediatrician said to now treat their room as the crib. If it's not bolted to the wall or fine for them to play with it's out and to flip the door handle so we can lock it to know where they are all night. We've had them in toddler beds like this for almost 6 months and they have been fantastic!
Same! Right at 2 and a half my daughter decided she was done with the crib (of course when my husband was out of town). We tried the mattress on the floor of the crib too, and she was still able to scale the crib and get out, in her sleepy sack! So we also ended up flipping her door handle to keep her in/safe and getting her a big kid mattress 😅
Yes we did this. We had a child gate over the door instead and he went in a proper bed instead. I know it’s a pain for a while but we are after a couple of yers finally past it!!
I was also going to suggest that. We have a tall, very good baby gate, in her doorway that my 2.5 year old cannot open no matter how much she would try to. Nothing in the room that she could climb into or knock over.
We did the same with our twins when they were toddlers. I completely understand wanting them to stay in their crib, but once they start learning to climb seems way more dangerous than just really toddler-proofing the room and shutting the door with a safety latch.
Sorry Mama, if she's climbing out, she needs to be on a floor mattress or toddler bed. A climber is a climber, no way around it. My younger brother was literally climbing out of his play pen by 8 months old! Just him hiking it over like a dog hops a fence, nothing to boost himself. By 2 he was trekking through 30-40 feet deep of cedar trees in our backyard and hopping the 4 foot chain link fence into the business parking lot behind our house. We had to cut the tree limbs up high (they went all the way to the ground originally) to open the space up and build a 6 foot wooden fence. Even now as a soon to be 36 year old man he's a spider monkey, lol. Pantries...the best system is the one that works for you and your family! :D Never feel pressured to do your pantry like others, they aren't you and your girls. Growing up we never had a pantry. We had the lower cabinets and a skinny little bookcase (that was the old hutch of a desk) in our half bath off the kitchen (we did not use this bathroom, my parents always used it as storage). I had a medium walk in pantry in one my houses as an adult, hated it. For some reason it always felt cluttered and cramped. Husband and I don't have a pantry in our current house now and we use the Portola Hills bookcase from target that matches our other furniture/style and fit perfectly in an empty nook wall of our kitchen/dining nook area. I use cute matching wire bins and clear lazy susans on the shelves to keep things sorted proper, and we have our microwave there, plants up on top out the cat's reach.
Its been a VERY long time for me. But, my youngest is 29. He was my daredevil and climber. He would climb out that crib. We put up tall baby gates by his door. He climbed over. We lowered his mattress as far down as possible. He'd get out. You name it we tried it. He could get out of anything. We pretty much hooked all his furniture to the walls. Took everything low and put it up high or in his closet. Put locks up high on is bedroom window because he would open his window at 2 years old. We put locks up high on his closet door because he'd get in there and pull everything out. Clothes off hangers. And then we had to put a lock on the outside of his bedroom door. And basically lock him in at night. We also had a baby monitor up high in his room where he couldn't get it but, we could hear him. It was probably 6 months before he finally stopped. It was a long 6 months. Before we started locking his door and got a baby monitor (this was almost 30 years ago most people didnt have monitors) he got out his crib one night and climbed up on top of our fridge. And was just sitting up there. We all joked he was like Houdini. 😂 If you knew him today you'd never know he was such a hyper wild baby and toddler. He so easy going and level headed.
I love that white sweater youre wearing Monday morning while folding laundry. You always have such great taste. And the pantry reorganization was so satisfying! Also, well done going for your walk and keeping your record going in the very beginning of the vlog. You actually inspired me to do at least 15-minutes of physical activity everyday and its been so good for me! In a vlog awhile back you mentioned "If you workout 4 times a week and just add 15 minutes to your workout each day thats 52 more hours of exercise a year!" And I thought"Hey, that would make 52 hours of exercise a year for me!" 😂
My daughter loved her bottle and I told myself she won’t be using it when she’s in college. Well she’s 30 and you never see her without her water bottle! The “baba” just changed 🤪😂
My daughter is a few months younger than Felicity. We recently transitioned her to a floor bed. We just put her crib mattress on the floor without the crib. We have a baby gate at the top of our stairs so she can’t fall down if she wanders out at night. It’s screwed right into a stud so it can’t be pushed over. So far, so good!
My daughter did the same thing we ended up getting her a crib tent and it helps so much. It's see through and breathable. They also make a black out tent to help with too much light. It has been a life saver 😍🥰 My daughter knows to tell us when she needs to go to the bathroom or whatnot.
We put a dresser downstairs in our home for the kids clothes (they only have pjs in their room) and it’s soooo much easier to just put their laundry in their drawer straight from the dryer. Its such wasted time lugging laundry up and downstairs 😂 plus we just have them get their clothes out for the day and if something is in the wrong drawer it is an easy swap lol
The risk that comes with dropping the mattress to the floor is entrapment. I’d look up the practice of a Montessori floor bed and putting a baby gate on the door with a camera in her room. You can put safety locks on her drawers and remove any breakables and smaller furniture. Just the dresser, mattress, a few books and stuffies. It may break the rebellious streak because she has more environment to explore and has a safe boundary to express her independence. It worked really well with my son! We also put a baby gate that screwed into the studs at the top of the stairs, so there was no danger there.
Oh my, middle of the night wakings are rough, specially when they leave the bed/crib. Here’s what works for us: our daughter is 2 yo (she will be 3 in April) and we use the hatch sound machine with the red night light on (she used to sleep in the complete dark up until we started potty training) and we explained to her that “red means bed” so she can’t leave her bed when the light is red (it’s actually a suggestion from Cara from Taking Cara Babies. When she wakes up in the morning she calls out for us (or when it’s time for us to wake her up when she sleeps past her wake up time) and then we turn the light to green through Bluetooth. we told her that “Green means Go”. Then she leaves bed and comes to our room. We have a baby gate between her room and the corridor that lead to the living room so JUST IN CASE she leaves bed when she isn’t supposed to she won’t be wondering around the house. We also have baby gates on stairs etc. She has been extremely successful at staying in bed until we allow her to leave. I hope you find something that works well for your whole family. Sending prayers your way! 😘
My twins have been out of cribs since before they turned two because we so worried about them climbing out of their beds. It took a bit to adjust but they’ve been in toddler beds since and they’ll be 3 in June.
It’s been a minute since I’ve dealt with a two year old climbing out of his crib but I remember that we completely kid proof my son’s room, put him in to a toddler bed with a rail and put a baby gate in front of his door so he couldn’t wander out a night. Worked great. Good luck 😊
This video is the motivation I needed to clean out my pantry too. Mines smaller than yours not a closet just two cupboards so you can imagine how stuffed and disorganized it is. Something I’ve been putting off and now looking forward to so thank you thank you for posting 🤍
So we are going through a very similar situation and we also did lower the mattress to the floor which absolutely helped, but my daughter is tall for a 2.5 year old so it still scares me that she might still try to jump it. In the process of planning to switch her to a toddler bed (hopefully not before she turns 3) we are considering this little sensor that you attach to their door in case they do try to leave their room it will chime in your master bedroom as a warning. I’ve also heard of parents locking the kiddos in but i don’t love that concept for several reasons so will def be trying the little doorbell idea for my peace of mind 😅 Just an idea so she doesn’t scare you guys by showing up by surprise at your door!
Things that have worked for my kids when they’re in that in between crib/real bed time: mattress to the floor like you said, a crib tent, or moving them to a toddler bed but baby locking the door from the inside or flipping the handle so you can lock it from the outside. Then they can’t wander the house!
I so relate to the 1am story and laundry :) we started integrating the kids laundry into the main loads and we sort the clean laundry on our bed, to manage the overload and keep track of the matching options. I never fold, I match the outfit and roll it using those drawer organizers from IKEA to keep them in a section (like this is all the pjs, etc.) This way they can pull out a roll for the day, then pick out their undies, socks and they’re set. It helped me understand how much clothes they need/grew from and gave them independence to find and pick themselves. Mine are 5 & 3 right now. 😊
My first comment ever!! Started watching during covid and now never skip a video!! Kids clothes… i wash separate to save time on figuring out whose is who and I do not fold anything since they pull it all out of drawers anyhow!! Love you guys!! ❤❤
My daughter was 18 months when we moved her to a full size floor mattress. Best decision ever! Every kid is different. She absolutely HATED the crib. She is 3 and a half now and she still loves the floor mattress lol
I'm resetting this week. Perfect timing for this video. Last night I finally hung the towel bar in my kitchen that I remodeled a year and a half ago. Lol I wasn't exactly sure if I wanted a hook or a towel bar so I haven't bought anything yet. As I was cleaning out a random bin I found the perfect towel bar that I had from remodeling the bathroom that came in a set and I ended up not needing it in the bathroom. I totally forgot I had it and it works perfect in the kitchen. No more towels laying on counter or draped over the sink. It crazy how a simple little thing like this makes me feel so accomplished.
I have a nice big pantry, it is not a walk-in, and I ended up getting one of those over the door organizers and it has been an absolute game changer. My pantry is now organized. I can see what I have and use everything. It’s fantastic.
We put a baby gate on our kids' bedroom door so they couldn't leave their room. They still could get out of their bed, but I felt better knowing they weren't walking around the house.
The “but then you have to go through that conversation…” was the most real thing, I feel so seen 😂😂😂 like I will literally pay the difference to NOT have that conversation
very much appreciate the advice on not moving up too quickly with a toddler crib! My 2 year old is just starting to throw their leg over. It's a scary phase!
We get a lot of pajamas from gap factory and h& m. Also your neighbors device cracks me up, Because we never had a crib beyond the bassinet stage. We did the same thing that a lot of other commenters have commeted - floor bed and childproof the whole room
We’ve never been the “keep them in their crib as long as possible” parents. But I do understand your rationale. For us, we transitioned both of our boys (2 and 4) to a toddler bed at around 21 months. This is also the time we potty trained and it seemed to work out well. We kept them in their sleep sack at first which helped them get used to the big boy bed without immediately being able to get out and wander. Our 4 year old just started (about 6 months ago) coming into our room to sleep at night. Otherwise they both stayed in their rooms without issue. Every kid is different though so a bit a trial and error is a good thing. There’s definitely no right or wrong way, that’s for sure.
I had a baby gate at my girls room when they were small as they are 14 months apart. The youngest was always getting out of her crib. Often we would wake up and find her playing on the floor or asleep on the rug. Once the beds were put in, she was used to staying in the room because of the baby gate and we were able to remove it without her leaving the room anymore. Hope that helps. A lot of comments mention the gate too 👍🏼🤗
The Nestle Chewy Cocoa Brownies are the best, it was on the back of their cocoa container for years (and it's online too)! I find traditional fudgy brownies to be too much, but these are the perfect middle ground between chewy, fudgy, and a touch cakey, like a box brownie. And best of all it's all pantry ingredients, so it's easy to sub out some white sugar for brown, some of the natural cocoa for a little special dark/dutch, and the water for coffee for more depth of flavour!
I’ve seen videos about people putting a little hanger alarm thing on the kids bedroom door, and that helps. Let them know when they open their door so they aren’t wandering around the house!
My daughters are 2 years apart…when I do a mixed load of laundry, I find it’s easier to separate them first and then fold. Plus then you could fold each in their own rooms and put stuff away as you fold. We moved my older daughter to a big girl bed (an old trundle bed we had) when my second was born, so she had just turned 2. We had no problems! I guess I didn’t realize how lucky we were! Last thing - Old Navy for pjs! Wait for them to go on sale!
Been there with a jail breaking toddler! Sorry to say, if she's crawling out of her crib, it's time for a toddler bed :( put a baby gate at her door and remove any hazards from her room. she'll roam around and get bored and either lay back down or fall asleep in the floor. Even a motion sensor or something to notify you she's roaming her room if you want to get her back in bed. good luck momma!
I've had my 2yo on a "floor bed" since she was like 10 months old! Of course that doesn't work for everyone but she was trying to climb out of it. Her room is *very* baby-proofed and we have a baby gate in the doorway so she can't leave her room at night. It sounds like you might have to go ahead and get rid of the crib. Put a doorknob cover on the door so she can't leave
When our daughter was in the escape from the crib mode, it coincided with cricket season. We pretty frequently had crickets in and around the house. (Bad mom award moment coming right up!) I told her that she better stay in bed or on the sofa because the crickets were going to get her! It actually worked - at 42 years old, she’s still afraid of crickets!
Hi Jessica! My little boy turns 3 tomorrow and the other night the exact same thing happened to us! Except this was as we were getting our other older children ready for bed. The next thing we knew he was out of his crib walking around and we were like how did you get out of there!! And now knowing he knows how to escape is a whole new ball game 😕
Hi Jessica I Love the over the door pantry hangar. Satisfying to see everything organized. Thank you for sharing and keep enjoying your children and you're so right. They won't be that age forever, so even through the tantrum. You keep staying strong. God bless you
Only 1 of my 4 kids made it until 2 in a crib. They started climbing out at 1ish. Once they figure it out, you gotta just switch to a big bed. Make sure u have a monitor so u can wake up right away and help her get back to sleep.
Our two year old has been out of her crib for a bit! We just have a gate at the top of the stairs so she can’t wonder downstairs. She usually does end up in our bed though 😝
🎉woooohooooo! I'm home working and I make jewelry for my job so I absolutely think there's nothing better than Jessica and just Braun videos in general!
We had to take our daughter out of a crib before she hit two years old, because she was trying to climb out. I honestly think toddler beds are a waste of money, because all I see are more corners to hit themselves on. I still had one a month and it was cute. We quickly went to a twin bed. My daughter has had trouble falling asleep alone for the past year, so we literally have to let her fall asleep before we leave the room. Advice my online friends would be appreciated if anyone has any. She always wakes up in the middle of the night anyway and crawls in between us. Our bed has a low base.
If you wind up making that pesto ranch chicken crockpot meal again, I know what it was missing: bacon. I made a grilled cheese with sliced chicken, pesto, Muenster, bacon & tomato on sourdough - it was amazeballs good - then I dipped it in ranch, & it was even better. Love the videos, Jess! ❤
I took a few days off work, and I'm taking a couple of these days for a house reset. I got a bunch of laundry and cleaning today. Tomorrow is going to be taking out donations and doing some recaulking in our bathrooms. I've been enjoying watching this reset video while I'm taking a break!
Blink, and they’re teens etc…Enjoy them Mama it goes way too fast. Don’t sweat the small stuff! One day you’ll be missing this time. From a Grandma who misses not only her children, but her grand children being little!
I have a daughter a month older than felicity and she’s been in a toddler bed for a few months now. Like previous comments have said treat their room like a crib. Make sure there’s nothing she isn’t supposed to have but you NEED to buy a product called a door monkey. It makes it so they can’t open their door all the way and get out of their room. We just taught our daughter to yell for us if she need anything rather than trying to get out of her room.
Your pantry space looks nice! What an accomplishment! I love projects like this! Merit has great products! I probably need to order a few more items :)
I started to put my 2yo down in her toddler bed but I nurse her to sleep (currently weaning her off). We have a baby camera mounted high on the wall and we keep watch through the night on the monitor in our room. I usually hear her (she starts calling me when she wakes), and I go over to her room to comfort her and put her back to sleep. She barely ever does it anymore, but I keep the monitor on always because you never know. After becoming a mom I became a lightish sleeper anyways, so I sleep perfectly and still hear her cries when they do happen!🥰😁
The advice I give parents is enjoy each stage of their lives to the fullest, be there fully in the moment we co-slept with our two and their adults now and it’s been a long time since they’ve slept with us 😂this to shall pass!
The night wanders...my kiddo slept walked...locks on door...back to baby monitor...even left snacks out on bottom shelf ..so he woke up got snacks no attention... got over it in a month of ignoring. Godspeed ! Dee
Yay, a new vlog! I’m also in the Very Little Sleep and Lots of Coffee Club thanks to my teething 9 month old 🫠 Putting my older daughter in a toddler sleep sack bought us a few more months of keeping her in the crib at that age. Hoping you get more sleep soon!! 🩷
Just finished watching the Keys to the Kingdom podcast (and im not even a huge disney fan, just enjoy your guys' company ❤) and then saw you posted a 45+ min vlog and my day got that much brighter, yay! 😊
What we did for this issue was making extra holes at the very bottom of the crib so we can put the mattress the lowest possible. Idk if that was safe but it worked and we never had an issue with the crib cracking or anything like that. I would also recommend getting a latch for the doors that lead outside that neither of the girls can reach. Bc when my oldest was a toddler, he got up while everyone was asleep and left out the door. Thankfully he was at the apartment park behind our apartment. But let me tell you.. the fear that overcame my body I was just screaming and I see him and just hugged him bc I was so happy he was ok and no one took him. That has been one of my biggest fear since then. Even with the baby door covers, that latch gives me a little more peace of mind. And maybe there is some kind of ring motion detector for her room to alert y’all at night. That is such a struggle. Being too little not to be in a crib but too big to climb out 😢
If the mattress on the floor solution doesn’t work, lower her side rail and get a gate for her bedroom door. Make her room as boring as possible for night time. We have that same pantry and same pantry organizer. I use it for all of my baking items and overflow for bigger spices and packets that don’t sit well on the pantry shelf.
My daughter was 18 mos and climbed out of her crib. She fell and landed on her Little Tikes slide. By how she was holding her arm I scared that she broke her arm. I took her to the emergency room and it turned out that she dislocated her elbow. When we got back from the ER the crib was coming out of her room. She moved to her toddler bed that night. I was taking that chance again.
Maybe we are the weird ones, but we mever actually even owned a crib! (We have 3 kids- almost 5, 3, and 2). We had a halo bassinet/coslept some when they were tiny and then transitioned straight to a floor bed on their babyproofed room. But also we actually lock their door from the outside because the thought of them being able to get out of their room (and possibly out of the house!) absolutely terrifies me, especially for my fearless oldest son.
We were lucky: our daughter never learned to climb out of her cot (that’s what we call it in Australia) so we kept her in there for ages. I cant remember how long now. but it allowed for sleep ins!
Reorganizing, can be exhausting, but the best feeling! Where did you get those clear containers you have your Chickpea snacks in? They look like a good size! I have such a small space in apt and no real pantry. My closet is half coats half pantry... no other way around it! I don't really have food in there. Regardless, it's frustrating!
You're my comfort watch and I needed this today! One day I hope I can meet you in the wild and express how much I appreciate you and the comfort and safety you and Tyler bring
Had a play place like this near us before the pandemic and it was awesome. Probably wasted a lot of money on playtime and coffee, but as a stay at home mom it was nice. They closed after the pandemic though.
The crib debacle reminded me there’s Montessori influencers that put babies on a mattress on the floor, now I can’t imagine that working very well once they can crawl or walk! I stopped wearing my Apple Watch until someone reminded me that I can turn off notifications 😂 I love wearing it now and finally stopped getting the phantom pings where I feel like I have a notification but there wasn’t one hahahaha
we kept our kids in cribs as long as possible *but also* we unscrewed and flipped the doorknobs and locked them in their room when our bigger kid started leaving their room and the other hacks didn’t work. I know it sounds bad but we have sensitive baby monitors and fire alarms and CO2 alarms and check on them whenever there is a notification - they aren’t ignored! But it’s too dangerous to have them sneak around in our (child proofed!) house (even with child proofing their room is much safer!)
I have a wanderer too. Before I transitioned him to a twin bed I had him in a sleep sack-specifically the ones that are slightly weighted(like barely weighted). He couldn't climb out with his feet in the sack!
We transitioned our daughtet to a todder bed at 18m because she tried climbing and fell out. It actually went really well. Her door had a lever handle and we would put a child lock on the outside so she won't come out of her room (which was baby proofed). Other options i heard was to put a baby gate at the door so if they open the door, they stay in the room. Another possibly is maybe put a Slumberpod type of tent over the crib? But it depending how determined she is, she might still climb out and possibly get stuck. What about a pack n play? I feel the walls are slightly taller then a crib but I could be wrong. Honestly at the point where they can climb out of crib, its most likely time to transition out
I also use a set of spice bottles and labels. Instead of using a label for the expiry dates, I use a Sharpie. When I need to change the date, I just scribble over it with a dry erase marker, and it wipes right off!
I love getting my kid’s pjs (and clothes in general) from H&M, Kate Quinn, and Burt’s Bees. They all have sales periodically and H&M gives you a coupon when you bring in used clothing to their store!
My recent 3 year old son is still in a crib. I’m a firm believer that he can stay in the crib until he’s 16 if he doesn’t try to climb out! 😂 my 5 year old never tried to climb out and we transitioned him at 3 because I was having surgery and couldn’t lift him. My 3 year old is a daredevil and I worry about transitioning him although he’s 3. My husband wants to transition him but I’m petrified! Please keep us updated! #scaredmom
Hi Jessica! I love Hanna Andersson pajamas for kids. They can be pricey but I feel like my kids didn’t grow out of them so fast. They do run sales so thats something you can look out for. My second favorite are Burts Bees pajamas. Definitely more affordable option than Hanna’s but the cotton is also organic and the prints are cute!
Lower the mattress all the way down. If that doesn’t work, toddler bed and shut her door so she can’t wander. That way she’s at least contained and safe, even if she falls asleep on the floor. You don’t want her getting hurt climbing out of the crib every night
3:34 I have this shade in a cream blush from tarte. They did these pallets with 2 blush and the seashells bronzer a few years back! You’re right such a beautiful winter shade!! Been dying to try Merit as a brand! It’s the one I will explore in 2025. 3 items I will treat myself too.
Ok crib problem, mine started climbing out at 9 months. As soon as she could walk she was climbing out. This was 20 years ago there was no video monitoring etc. so we gave up and put her in a toddler bed with one of those sides on it to keep her from rolling off. We gave her the rules that she was not allowed to get up from her bed and had to yell for us if she needed something. We had a chart and rewarded her for staying in bed with a prize at the end of the week. The big thing is, the crib isn't keeping her safe anymore if she can climb out. So there is no harm in giving her a big girl bed. Maybe tell her if she stays in her bed for a week you will let her have a big girl bed. I think at this point the brain is making you feel safer but the fact is she can and will get out and falling from crib height is far more dangerous. I would be sure to have a locked baby gate at the top of the stairs and be sure to baby proof the upstairs. You can also get an alarm they, used to have them at dollar tree, that you turn on and when the door opens you hear it go off. Although that may wake up Gigi at least you would know she is out and about. I hope this helps. If it makes you feel better that 9 month old is now 22 and about to get married. Just to say you got this Mama.
Our kids are a year and 9 days apart. We moved my son to a crib at 6 months and my daughter got the pack n play. Once he went to the toddler bed she started jumping out of her pack n play (she was 15 months or so 🙃). It was so stressful. They would wake each other up and play in the middle of the night. They couldn’t escape their room though since our door knobs I guess are too tall or are harder to twist.
You can use the other set of draws for the backup snacks from Costco if you want to get rid of the box. Have them split between the pantry and basement

Yep! I live in an apartment with hardly any cabinet space. I repurposed most of my coat closet to be a pantry because I stock up at Costco and when stuff is on sale. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine.
@ That’s a great idea! ❤️
This! We have a cupboard, not a true pantry. It is what it is!
Yeah I don’t even have a pantry at all. Just come of my cabinet space I use for pantry stuff
This is such a sweet comment and I agree with you 100% ❤❤
If she’s climbing out of the crib, the safest solution is to switch to a toddler bed or floor bed, baby proof the room, and then put up a baby gate so she can’t get out of the room! Plus of course have a monitor so you can come get her if needed.
💯
That’s what I did. As soon as my twins started climbing out of the crib, I got twin platform beds and installed baby gates 😀
Genius! I don’t have kids yet but here I am taking mental notes 😂❤
"There's a lot going on in that cup." One of the most relatable things Jess has ever said.
😂😂
Kids in bed ✅ cozy pjs on ✅ surprise tuxedo cheesecake slice from Olive Garden from hubby ✅ saved Jess video ✅✅✅ perfect evening! ❤
Hmmm this sounds like my 4 month old…kitten 😂
Good luck 😊
Crib tent. Only thing that kept my rambunctious monkey contained. Best of luck.
Oo I'd never heard of those! Sounds like a good idea
Crib mattress on the floor and outside of the crib, and baby lock on the door
My first comment ever!! Started watching during covid and now never skip a video!!
Kids clothes… i wash separate to save time on figuring out whose is who and I do not fold anything since they pull it all out of drawers anyhow!!
Love you guys!! ❤❤
Me too started watching I think 2020 , time has gone fast. 😊 Maria Lambert
The way I NEEDED a good vlog. Perfect timing and the perfect pick me up!
There is nothing better than completing a project that's been in your mind for a loooong time!!
I have a nice big pantry, it is not a walk-in, and I ended up getting one of those over the door organizers and it has been an absolute game changer. My pantry is now organized. I can see what I have and use everything. It’s fantastic.
Fun that Tyler got to pick out a cereal for going to the grocery store with you! 😉
We put a baby gate on our kids' bedroom door so they couldn't leave their room. They still could get out of their bed, but I felt better knowing they weren't walking around the house.
I did this with my first too and it was such a blessing!
I love all these new videos with vlogs, books, etc! Hope you keep them up 😍
We get a lot of pajamas from gap factory and h& m. Also your neighbors device cracks me up, Because we never had a crib beyond the bassinet stage. We did the same thing that a lot of other commenters have commeted - floor bed and childproof the whole room
Nothing makes my work day better than seeing Jessica upload a new video! 🥰
We used crib tents for our kids and it worked great for us!
😂
I initially thought you were talking about the sport 😂
Make sure u have a monitor so u can wake up right away and help her get back to sleep.
baby gate on the door. may get out of crib but can't leave room. worked for me. 😢🙏
I purchased a square plant roller from target a few years ago and have my basket on the floor on it so it rolls rather than scrapes across the floor
Love Merit products!! I want them all.
My pediatrician recommended at 18 months that we switch to a toddler bed, so my daughter would stop climbing out.
The advice I give parents is enjoy each stage of their lives to the fullest, be there fully in the moment we co-slept with our two and their adults now and it’s been a long time since they’ve slept with us 😂this to shall pass!
Always nice to "catch up"! Love the vlogs. And I'm happy you guys figured out the crib thing, fingers crossed she doesn't Houdini her way out of it! 🙃
I was needing to get motivated to clean and this is perefect! Love the vlogs!
thanks for watchhing!! yayyyy!!!
We don't have a pantry! lol But I love how you organized it! Looks great!
42:48 me watching as someone who slept in their mom’s bed until 15
👁️👄👁️
My daughter is a month younger than Felicity so I love hearing what’s going on. We’re also trying to plan on keep her in the crib as long as possible!
Thank you so much Vicky!!!
Hi Jess, lovin' all these vlogs! Here for it ❤️🙌🏻❤️
Woohoooo! :) thanks!!!
Those squishy bookends are adorable!
Random but I’m loving your natural hair!
I love the FaceTime chats
Our church has a play place for younger kids to play for free during the week. And we have a small coffee bar for drinks and snacks too. 😊
#scaredmom
Baby lock on the door handle and, autism mom here: dementia alarm so that an alarm goes off in your room if she exits the room. It’s life changing.
A very good point about false sense of safety with the crib she can climb out of. One of the biggest dangers is the climbing out itself.
