There should always be a filter on the incoming water supply to protect the venturi valve from sediment. A double check valve on the incoming water line is also needed.;

You never connect the discharge line from the pump directly to the exterior drain line. You must always have a physical air gap between the pump discharge line and the exterior drain line.......

Depending on the type of primary (electric sump pump), couldn't the existing ejection pipe, with a parallel by-pass & back-flow preventer, also be used as the suction & exhaust tubes for the induction pump?
This would avoid most of the plumbing, & put only the new sensor in the sump. What is the practical height limit of this pump? (My theory is about 27' for a trickle, or about 12' for reasonable flow during low atmospheric pressure.)

Can this be installed or mounted in a sump pit outside the house? If so, how do you mount it as there is no joist to hold it?
