Great job.
You can Inflate the bag with air from your flow hood before sealing so you can shake it easily
Won't more air increase the risk of drying out the mycelium?
No you can’t
@@DubDigitalif I had to guess it def increases chances of contam.
Are you using a wax stamp seal for your injection oort ? I'm looking for cheaper bag oprions, but most of the cheap ones only come with micron filters and no injection ports. Cheapest deal I found was $10 for 10 which included both. Any info would be helpful. I've thoght about using a simple wax stamp seal in the past, this has me even more interested. 😊
What I am using is red RTV silicone as a homemade self healing injection port. It works great!
hey dude whats the wax you use for an injection port again?

@@SporenSprout much appreciated man
Why do you squeeze all the air out of the bag after shaking?
Doesn’t really matter, just so mushrooms don’t start growing on top of the grain before spawning to bulk.
@@SporenSprout I thought early fruiting is caused by light?
@@MissBlackMetal No it is mostly from introduction of fresh air. Contaminants can also cause premature pinning.
Can you shake the jars? Cakes?
Yes
@@SporenSprout It kinda looks like they're a little beyond shaking, the veins are present but some of the bottom hasn't colonized yet.
At this point light would start pinning the jars before I would slide them out.... correct?
The other thing, I have the jars in a floating tote, the temperature is a steady 72°
It looks like there is plenty of moisture in the jars.
I had to discard one jar, as there was green.
I'm concerned with the other jars having too much moisture, should I remove them from the floating tote?
I’m at the step right now and I’m not sure when to shake it. it’s my first time.
Shake at 25% colonization
@@SporenSprout after watching your video I just shook it. It was the right time but it’s been a month. I am excited.
updates ? :) @@kennethfelipe823
