      Equestrian Enterprises the AQHA stands for American Quarter Horse Association for which is a registry for horses with documented breeding from foundation Sires
      These horses are trained to do nothing of value. These horses will not do well in the real world, ie no groomed arenas, you know how horses are most normal NOT ROCKING HORSES.

      Equestrian Enterprises yeah? I grew up on a large cattle ranch. We raised lots of quarter horses, they were used for ranching, they could do just about anything on any kind of terrain, these horses couldn’t hold a candle to our ranch raised horses. By the way I am 68 years and showed all facets through my long life and what the pleasure horse industry has done to create these ridiculous maneuvers is appalling.

    I'd love to see a resurgance of real live trail classes again. These are ok, but they really should be called 'pole' classes because they technically aren't trail obstacles. Get back to seeing horses yes, negotiating a gait, but also dragging brush piles, tricky backups, small jumps, water hazards, putting on a slicker, etc.

    • @Pepsithegoat
      @Pepsithegoat 4 роки тому +5

      There are classes like this! They're normally called ranch trail but it differs by association. Its includes dragging logs, going over realistic obstacles, etc.

      I agree and was just thinking the same thing. This is more like dressage in a western saddle with some poles than it is a trail class with obstacles like gates, bridges, backing through 90 degree turns etc.

    • @mobility63
      @mobility63 2 роки тому

      Maybe you don't realize how difficult this trail is. It's all about precision. Some of the obstacles even have stride rules

    • @laughinghorsefarms
      @laughinghorsefarms 2 роки тому

      @@mobility63 I'm not saying they aren't difficult- they most certainly are. I just prefer the old style, where there were actual obstacles. Keep the pole/trail classes and add an actual obstacle trail class. We have enough entries in the show ring. I think it would be well attended.

    The canter is NOT a extended canter on second course. The canter is not a real canter. 3 legging it in the rear. Come QH Assoc. you need Judges that call it like it is. QH Assoc. you need to follow-up on your judges.

    I hate how most of these "trail" horses would flip out on an actual trail. I ride my horse at the county fair every year. Won trail last year and was second this year. She 's a playday/actual trail ride/ broodmare that does best at speed events, but was willing to step over the white "bridge" obstacle and backed between and around a set of barrels. Blossom will never do that lope due to her build. I'll be using her currently 4 year old daughter next year. No fake tail needed since this mare's tail is thick to her hooves. This one has been ridden 30 times. So far, she'll lope half a mile down the road to and from the house. Trots the barrels bareback really well. Never bucked or bolted. I'm hoping she'll be ready for playdays by March.

      My thoughts exactly

    • @phoenixequestrian8680
      @phoenixequestrian8680 Рік тому

      Clearly you don’t know shit about this kind of riding. It is meant to demonstrate the precision and cadence of the horse, and just because it’s “different” from what you are used to seeing doesn’t mean it’s wrong. As someone who shows trail, pleasure, and a variety of other disciplines, my horses can look just like this in the arena and do extremely well when I take them out on real trails as well. And sure, the horse in this video may not be accustomed to going out on actual trails, but I assure you if you took your “trail/ranch” horses into this arena they would absolutely destroy that pattern and you’d look like you were riding a cow compared to this person. Each horse has their specialties, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I honestly think the type of riding in this video is much more challenging/interesting to watch, as it requires the rider to demonstrate correct horsemanship and equitation, where “real trail” as you say, often just means you’re sitting on the horse as a “passenger” rather than a “pilot” who actually knows what they’re doing.

    • @jeanierides2232
      @jeanierides2232 Рік тому

      @@phoenixequestrian8680 yeah well I am sure doing this “pattern repetitively is loads of fun for that poor horse” not to mention the rider who looks even more ridiculous. I’ll stick to the natural world where the fun is for both horse and rider. Oh yeah, I remember Western Pleasure and True trail events, back in the day. No one stuck a fake tail on their horse and no one looked so bored. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😎

    • @phoenixequestrian8680
      @phoenixequestrian8680 Рік тому +2

      @@jeanierides2232 what you are looking at is a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP class, obviously both rider and horse are extremely concentrated and calculated due to the tremendous amount of pressure of competing against the best in the industry. Just because they are concentrating and want to do well does not mean they’re not enjoying it. I assure you, it is not boring. And western pleasure and trail have evolved for the better - they now expect your horse to be in a correct frame, the rider to have good equitation, etc. Even now, the sport is continuously evolving. And fake tails are purely cosmetic and there are lots of people who don’t choose to use them. The reality of it is that not many horses have naturally thick tails, and some people really like that look. It’s not like they wear the fake tails 24/7, it’s pretty much only when they’re in the show ring.

    • @jeanierides2232
      @jeanierides2232 Рік тому

      @@phoenixequestrian8680 yes I understand your opinion, based on the sport of Pleasure classes and competition between how much money 💰 that is required to enter a show ring, 5,000.00 show shirts, 50,000.00 horseflesh, another 50,000 in training bills, not to mention the judges that are greased with expensive dinner engagements with prospective entrants, etc etc etc I have been a sad competitor to the corruption as my family did not have the money to help me when I was a young enthusiastic girl who realized a stop watch could not be bought and paid for. The fake tails look ridiculous no matter what.
