My shortlisted choices are: Tigor and Punch (both petrol and CNG) I'm a light footed driver... My priorities are mileage and safety... I occasionally take the car to highways.... I have 2 elderly person at my home.... Total we are 4 adults plus 1 infant..... What could be the best choice between the above.....my budget is till 7 lacs..... Currently I'm owning a Wagonr CNG 2016 model....And my running is maximum 700-800 kms a month.... Plz provide your suggestion....
If u r light footed person, you won't have problem with Punch's slow acceleration. And since you have elders at home it is better if you get Punch because getting in and out of Punch will be easier than Tigor/Tiago/Altroz for the elderly people. Sorry for the late response.

Thanks for your query. However you didn't tell me how many persons are in your family. I assume Husband-Wife- 1Child. In this scenario, it is suggested to buy Tiago XZ Plus CNG(8.25 Ex Sh). If you want a bigger car and since your running will be mostly on NH, buy Altroz XM Plus CNG(8.45 Ex Sh). Tata is also offering Automatic with CNG, but don't buy automatic as your first car. Manual will enhance your driving skills. Later on you can choose automatic.

Kundan Ji, aapki situation thodi tricky hai. Ek taraf aapko off roading karni hai to doosri taraf aisi gadi bhi chahiye jiska hills pe engine response acha ho. Punch me off roading sahi se kar sakte hain but engine hills k hisab se acha response nahi deta hain. Aapko off roading ya engine performance me compromise karna padega agar aapko sirf Punch aur Altroz me se koi ek hi leni hai. Engine response acha chahiye to Altroz lijiye aur Off Roading achi karni hai to Punch lijiye. Agar mujhe leni hoti to main Punch leta q ki zaroorat padne par gear baar baar change Kiya ja sakta hai engine se performance nikalne k liye par zaroorat padne par aap ground clearance badha nahi sakte hai.
Same as Tiago. But Tigor is not a good sedan. Honda Amaze is best in sub 4 meter sedan, it has similar safety rating and mileage but better space, smooth engine, accurate gearbox and reliable engine that can last 200,000 KMs with just regular service and careful driving. In fact, I was considering Amaze for my purchase but the variant with cruise control was beyond 9 lakhs.
Diesel is best if you are not living in Delhi NCR and also if you are ready to shell out more than 10 lakhs. The combination of performance and mileage is best.
Punch has better mileage in Petrol. You can check out mileage test video of Punch on my channel. Otherwise Altroz diesel has better mileage. Punch and Altroz have similar periodic service and maintenance cost.

I want to buy a car in 8-9 lakh budget. Family is of 5 people. Usage is ~750 kms. per month. A manual Petrol car is preferable as per family utility. Altroz pe dil aa gaya hai. But open to options like Punch, Tiago, Baleno, Glanza, Fronx, Swift, Amaze, i20 or any other vehicle in this budget. Please suggest as an expert opinion would really help me.
Yes you are right. But how come the ARAI mileage of Punch is better than Tiago when Tiago's weight is less? It means that Tata has done special tuning for Punch.

He is right, altroz is a better product, punch is only for ground clearance rest all is good in altroz
@@hiteshrawat8031 I have driven 52K(4.5 yrs) in Tiago, 27K in Punch(1.5 yrs) and 2-3 K in Altroz(7-8 months). But I still agree with both you. :-)
